I bought a used 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid out in California, and then ordered over $1,000.00 of accessories (floor mats, rear cargo mat, rear cargo cover, rear view mirror with Homelink and top cross bars) from College Hills Honda. The price was right. Upon taking delivery of these items, I failed to find screws to secure the crossbars to the rails, and later one of the rubber skirts that lie between the crossbar and the rails. I called College Hills and without static or second guessing they immediately shipped me replacement screws and rubber skirt without further charge which allowed for completion of that installation. I am embarrassed to say my wife later found the original screws in the packing, though the missing rubber skirt never appeared. Regardless, I appreciate College Hills' response to my calls for missing parts and will be sending the replacement screws back to College Hills given my usage of the original screws. read more

Horrible experience with the service staff and their manager Jimmy. my 2021 Honda pilot was leaking through a seal in the windshield, causing water to run down by our feet. This was "fixed" once already by the Honda dealer we purchased from in Virginia, 6 months after we bought the vehicle brand new. This dealership refused to fix it stating they didn't make it, they didn't break it, we didn't buy it their, we're out. Call Honda if you are seeking resolution. My dad had an appointment to just get an oil change on his Honda Pilot. He was told it would take 1hr15 max. 1.5hrs passes, and he calls to see how things are going, and is told that it'll be another 40mins due to delay. Another hour and a half passes of waiting and we check again, and are told it's going to be another hour. At this point, it's been more than double the amount of time we were expecting it to take and we had other prior appointments scheduled that we needed the car to get us to, so we had to tell them to stop the service so we could pick up the car. When we got there, we were told that nothing was even started on the car when we had called to cancel, so the whole afternoon was wasted. My main issue with this experience is not the delay- because things can happen unexpectedly and delays are normal. It's the absolute lack of communication and respect for the customer's time. My dad had to call himself to continuously get updates on the car, and even took the whole afternoon off from work in order to have ample time to get this service done and attend to other errands. I think it is a basic courtesy to inform customers of delays especially if it significantly extends past the expected time they give. It's unreasonable to expect that our time doesn't matter and treat us like that. You wouldn't go to the dentist and wait 3hrs because the doc ran behind for just a simple cleaning and be ok with not getting forewarned, would you? Please do better. There were at least 3 different ladies we spoke to on the phone in the call center- defer some customer calls to them or something to give people updates. *TLDR: My dad and I wasted our whole afternoon on a scheduled 1hr15min oil change service that didn't end up happening because we waited 3hrs and we were not given any heads up. They lost our trust in them so unfortunately it's not worth our time returning.* read more

I want to first start my review by saying not only is the College Hills Honda the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with, but also the worst company. I will start my experience from the beginning. I went in at the beginning of September on a Thursday because I was driving down the road and noticed a car that caught my eye. I pulled into the lot to look at it. At this point the sales rep came out and began asking if me and my husband were interested and wanted to take the car on a test drive. I explained to him that I did not like the car but I am moving on Sunday out of state to Virginia and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy a car and then turn around and leave the state within a few days. He reassured it would be ok because the car I was looking at was Honda Pre-Certified. After talking with him, I felt comfortable with what he was telling me. He said since it is Honda Certified, it has already been through so many rigorous tests, it would be fine. So, at this point my husband and I took the car for a 25 minute test drive. It sounded great, no noises or anything out of the ordinary. WE went back to the dealership and spoke to the gentlemen and put a deposit down until the next morning, final paperwork folks had already left for the day, so we had to finalize paperwork Friday. He let me know that they would get the car detailed and ready to go in to the morning. We then went back the next day, we traded in my husbands truck, it still had a little money owed on it, so we worked it in the deal to trade it in. They would pay off what was left on the truck and then we gave them a check outright for the new car we were buying. Everything seemed fine at that point. We then went it with the title person to finish up all the last minute paperwork and things like that. During this process I gave them our drivers license, I explained to her also that I was moving in two days out of state, so I need the title to be delivered to my new address. I gave it to her, she verified and showed my our new address written at the top of our file circled and it stated send title to this address, customer is moving in two days. All seemed good... But it wasn't. So we finalize, get in the new vehicle and make it a few blocks down the road and the car is making a horrible banging noise from the front left tire. I called the store right away. They informed me that they did preventive maintenance on the car in-between last night and this morning. They stated the mechanic noticed a few worn parts when detailing the car and just swapped some parts out. Mind you, no one ever told us anything. He then stated it was just the parts wearing in. He said go ahead and drive it for a day and it will be fine. Now it is Saturday. We wake up and drive the car for an hour, still making the noise. I am still calm at this point, call the dealership and they ask me to bring it back in. So I stop packing to move and go back. I pull into service and the service manager comes out. We go over everything and then his tech comes out and before he introduces himself or anything he says I worked on that car yesterday, there is nothing wrong with it but we can test drive I guess together so I can show you. So that is what we did. He drove, while my husband went with him. Now, he gets in the car and makes it a block and says what is that noise.... Then he decides to pull into a parking lot and BOTTOM THE CAR OUT IN A SEWER DRAINS AND SAYS OOPS. He looks underneath says I didn't hurt it and turns around back to the dealership. Him and my husband get out of the car and my husband states what just happened. I then just simply look at the service manager and he says we will get in on the lift, inspect the noise and check the underbody where the CAR WAS BOTTOMED OUT. He asks me to give them a few hours, plus we find during this time the mirror is broken(should have been caught on certification and the headlights are out, also should have been caught on precertification.) I agree and me and my husband go home to continue to pack. I get a phone call a 2 hours later to come back. We head out again, and I walk into service and they state the underbody is ok from when he bottomed it out, they cant fix the light or mirrors due to not having items in stock and they cant find the reason for the loud noise. They said can you just come back in a few weeks when we have parts and then we can also see if the other parts are worn in by then and the noise stops. I just look at them in disbelief. I said I move tomorrow, you all knew this. HE then goes yes that's right, how about I get a dealership where you are moving to replace the light and the mirror. Then maybe they can find the noise also, since we think it is just parts they need worn in. So I agree. Fast forward to Monday, I am now 550 miles away at our new home when they call and say the mechanic at the dealership by you can get you in tomorrow at 8am, it is 2 hours away from me. I recently had the worst car repair-service experience of my life. The culprit, College Hills Honda of Wooster Ohio. Now understand that 4 yrs. ago, i bought a used 2006 Honda Accord and it happens to be the best car i have ever owned. In my 60 years, I have owned many and this is the most reliable and well made of them all. This car has given me absolutely no trouble and has been truly a joy to own. However, after 4 years, I hought it was time to have it checked out by a certified Honda service center and start exploring the idea of possibly buying a new Honda. Living in Ashland Ohio, i had a choice of either traveling to a dealership in Wooster, Ohio or to Mansfield. So, the last week in Febuary I recieve a few service coupons for College Hills in a weekly mailer and decide to call and schedule my appointment. I talk to a super helpful service rep named Matt. We discuss what service I need, which includes a manufacturers recall, and set an appointment for March 19th at 7:45 AM. I purposly made this appointment so far out due to ride issues, having to take the day of work and early for the assurance of getting right in and out. I arrive at the dealership 20 minutes early and a srvice rep is kind enough to unlock the door and let me in before opening time to enjoy thier waiting room and some fresh coffee while they finished the morning meetings and prep for the day. My service rep came and we discussed again, the services they were to perform and he pulled my car into the garage and I left to enjoy my day with my grand-daughter and daughter. 10:30 AM and i decide to call Matt and get an approximate time for completion and he said he would get with me later in the afternoon. At 2:00 PM i had still not heard back from Matt so I call again and he informs me that there has been an issue with a car in front of me, its stuck on the rack and they haven't even touched my car. Car in front of me? How the hell is there a car in front of me? and what, you only have 1 service rack. needless to say I am furious! I made this appointment 3 weeks in advance, I am the fist person in the door, and they haven't even touched my car. "I'll be right there to get my car". When I arrive, I am met by Matt and a young lady that have some lame excuse that the appointment I made was just to talk to Matt and to reserve a spot in line and things happen and I am calling BULLSHIT!!!!! These people showed me no respect whatsoever. They never had the courage to "call me" and let me know what was going on, I had to call them. They never informed me It was a first come first serve "SHIT SHOW." They never offered me any appology or any options to help make up for the wasted day and missing work. What if i would have sat down in their waitng room? would they have allowed me to just hang around all day? I have never been mistreated like this by anybody in the service industry, let alone a car dealership. I would hope that this "COLLEGE HILLS SHITSHOW" isn't what I can expect from the entire Honda organization because I love my car and would love to buy a New Honda. It was very condescending to buy a car from this dealership as a person of color. The entire time I was processing to receive my financing package the accountant gushed about how amazing my ethnicity was and "how brave my mother was" insinuating something along the lines of single-parenting (which wasn't the case, she just assumed). Furthermore, I took my car in for oil changes twice. I complained my front driver tire constantly deflating and the air pressure light not turning off. They filled it with air and it went off. Never stated there was an issue with my tires. I move to another state while still dealing with this mysterious deflating tire. I take it to a trusted-local family shop and surprise! the tire had a nail in it. I wonder how long that was there for the year and a half I complained about this to College Hills? read more

On another occasion, when I called to ask about part #s, the person on the other end was very helpful and patient. I had an awful experience at this dealership and will NEVER go back. We went in to purchase/lease a Honda Odyssey. The salesman was very nice and helpful, but when we dealt with the finance department, things changed. Unlike other dealerships, they have NO established relationships with other lenders and will only use Honda Finance. Because my credit was not great, they only offered us a one-time lease payment option where we would have to pay $16,000 up front. Why would I pay 16,000 for a lease when I could practically purchase a car for that amount? I asked about other financing options and they offered NONE. They were very passive-aggressive and unwilling to work with us. We ended up going to a different dealership who bent over backwards to make sure we were offered the best deal possible. They work with several other lenders and got us a low interest rate despite my credit. I emailed College Hills to express my dissatisfaction and the owner sent me a nasty reply and blamed me for everything. He insisted his staff was amazing, the deal they offered was fantastic and that it was my fault for not accepting their offer. Very unprofessional. He even said, if your credit was not a problem, you wouldn't be sending this email, would you? I am so glad I did not give them my business. Do NOT waste your time. Recently, when I was unable to contact Honda Finance ( because their customer service phone line had a queue of 45 calls waiting ahead of me ), regarding a reregistration issue with the license plate on my CRV, an employee of College Hills Honda took the time to directly contact their Honda representative on my behalf. She helped to resolve the issue, and followed up with me several days later to make sure that Honda had contacted me, and that the issue had actually been resolved. There are not many businesses that are as dedicated to their customers as College Hills Honda. I was very skeptical being I have not heard this company and sometimes when you're not used 2 a new company you have to do a lot of check up and review because there are scammers everywhere that will take ur money n give u the run around afterwards. . I called the business to make sure I was going to get what I needed when I order did which were Honda Fit rims for my Acura . I check the triple Business Bureau. AAnd they have an A+ rating. So rest assured there online products are awesome and these rims were even cheaper here then I found them on eBay. I went to College Hill's Honda with the sole purpose of having a rear wheel bearing replaced. They told me I needed a transmission filter and a cabin filter. Ok, while they were at it do an oil change. They took me home and later called that they did not have the part and would have it the next day. Ok. They then offered a free loaner car. That's why they got the single star. They also said I needed tires as they were down to 4/32. I declined the tires. They quoted tires as $154 each. Michellin. I went back the next day and found a $60 charge for cleaning the brakes. I did not authorize that, they removed the charge. I took the car home and later found, on another page, a $60 charge to balance and rotate tires. I called and asked why they put on that charge? They claimed that I accepted it. No, I did not. I asked why would I allow a rotate/balancing charge on tires they told me were worn and needed to be replaced. That service manager agreed with me. A day later a "big" guy called me and told me I had accepted that service and they would not remove it. I disagreed as I did not accept those added services. I hung up. I went to a competitor for tires and found they cost $200 each. I called Michellin as I was confused. What tires are correct? College HIll's Honda quoted a 94t tire which Michelin said UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE buy that tire as it is not the proper tire for that car. I needed a 94V as clearly indicated on the car door jam sticker. For these reasons I do not trust College Hills Honda, I will never go there again, and am considering selling my Honda Accord and buying a Camry. College Hill's Honda is not truthful and they are deceptive. read more

I went in to look at a car and test drove it but sounded like a piece of crap and had way too many miles on it for the price they wanted.. They continued To call and call which I get is their job but their sales manager went on to insult me and criticize me that my standards were too high! I looked at a 2004 accord with 160,000 miles on it and they wanted $18,500 for it the transmission sounded awful and the stereo and speakers didn't work.. These guys are at least trying to grow business by operating an internet parts business. However, they are rude, non-communicative and horrible customer first service. I followed their rules to a tee when returning an item and even deciding to exchange for more stuff and pay more money. Bob was rude and told me "you don't get it" when I tried to get him to explain why he couldn't do anything about sending my exchanged for items because the returned item wasn't packaged properly (even though I sent it unused in the package it was sent to me). Before you run an Internet business, you need to address training people on customer service. I waited three weeks for my new stuff and when I called them, Bob said they wait for the customer to call them when they have a question on the returned item. I could understand that on a straight return, but when the customer follows the rules and actually attempts to buy MORE, that is not the right answer. They said they changed the oil filter, today when I took the Civic to another dealership to have a routine oil change they showed me the filter and it was black. They told me that the filter was never changed even though I recently took it to CHH and they claimed and charged me for a filter change. I'm glad it was a minor service. If you are thinking about buying a new Honda, You should really avoid College Hills Honda in Wooster Ohio. I have had issues with the service department in the past and will not take my cars there for service. I was trying to shop local and I realize now it was a bad decision. From one salesman telling me that the other salesman is too busy, to the salesman I am dealing with not responding to my emails. I put a deposit down on Friday and I was told they were picking up the color I wanted on Saturday. When I called Monday at 9 am for the VIN for my insurance, I was told that they were out actually getting the car. At 2pm I get a call saying they were not actually getting my car but another car...... I was scheduled to pick up the car at 4pm. I posted a comment on Facebook (which they deleted) and the Sales Manager called me. He was unware of the problem and did a sports comparison about how hard it is to get cars from other dealerships. I wanted a Silver car. All the other dealerships had multiples of this model on their lots. The only thing he offered to do was 3 more oil changes. Why would I want more service from a dealership that has let me down before? read more
