We utilized College Hunks on December 12 for a local move from Atascocita to Spring. During the move, the movers lost the screws to our treadmill and did not reassemble it. Also, after they left we discovered that our bed leg was damaged. We submitted a claim immediately and it has been over 3 weeks without even a response that they were looking into the claim. When attempting to reach out we are diverted to a call center who cannot connect you directly to the local branch they can only "send a message" - we have now sent 2 messages without any follow-up from the local branch. read more

This company underestimated my move. I cost me an additional $600 and when asking for an invoice for the second day they will not send it to me. Also when trying to report damage they refused to allow me to put in a claim. Their response was they were professional and would never damage my furniture. In fact the acquiesced me of filling a false claim. They damaged my day bed, a storage unit, broke a door on a cabinet. They told me to leave the food in the freezer and condiments in the fridge and they could move it. They put it in my new garage. They never unwrapped it. They didn't put the handles back on the exterior of the fridge or freezer, and they didn't plug it in. I didn't realize it until the next day and all the food was ruined and there's water dripping all over the floor. One star because they were polite and got the job done, but that's it. They damaged the floors of our brand new home after being asked repeatedly to put something down to protect them while moving in our refrigerator. They also chipped several door frames. They weren't going to take my son's crib because they were running out of room in the truck, but what was he supposed to sleep in??? So they haphazardly threw it in on top of everything else, and it arrived damaged in several places, but they didn't even tell me- I found the damage on my own. This was a $600 crib and they tried to send a handyman to repair it with some white paint that wouldn't have even matched, and it certainly wouldn't have filled all the gouges in it. This crib was in perfect condition before it left our last home and it should have lasted several more years. I am devastated in the loss of this item and the company will not replace it. Take your money and trust elsewhere!!! read more

I used this company a couple months back for a short move here in The Woodlands. The representatives were responsive, and the price seemed fair. I went with a four person team to try and have things be as efficient as possible despite the additional cost of a 4th person. The issue I have is that we pay all this money for a professional service to handle moving everything, as well as furniture disassembly/assembly at new house. While they were efficient in wrapping and moving things to the truck, when it came to the furniture it was awful. They had no power tools and took forever. I've used movers in the past with a lot of this same furniture and it was a really quick process. The main issue was two bunk beds I had in my kids room. They took hours taking it apart. They could have taken it apart just enough to fit though the door, but they took it all the way down to a pile of wood. At the new house, the guy that had disassembled the bunk beds left because he had a concert to go to. His replacement was a young kid who had no idea how to put the bunk beds together, nor did the other guys. The kid actually asked me if I was good at this stuff, and if I could do it. It took them 3 hours to put ONE together. I had to tell them to stop because at this point it would have been cheaper to buy two new ones and have them delivered. The second bunk bed is still in a closet. Further, I found instructions on how to put them beds together online and their phones died. They had to use mine. They blew the budget, were fighting amongst each other mostly because the main guy left for a concert, and was a bad experience. I would recommend finding a company with more experienced people. These 3 guys were the slowest moving movers I have ever witnessed!!! Overpriced as well. Seriously 7.5 hours to move a small 1650 sq ft house, 2 bedroom, 1 office, everything packed. While unloading at the storage unit, 2 other companies with the same sized load/truck came and went!
