I've had nothing but great service from College pharmacy. Since we travel frequently, I need to have medication shipped to me. I don't think there's ever been a time in the last couple years that someone really nice has answered the phone and helped me. My address is always changing, and there's never been a mix up. Kayla and Kevin are two of the great people I've had the pleasure of talking to on the phone. There have been many others but, I can't remember all the names. Frustrating to deal with them. No one answers the phone, I leave a detailed message, I get a call back asking for the same information I left on voicemail. They tell me that it will take 10 days to fill it. It actually takes 2 weeks for them to refill my prescription and 5 days to get to me once its shipped. I called for my refill 2 weeks into my monthly supply thinking that would be plenty of time. NOPE! I am now out of my prescription and will be without it for at least 6 days. This place is terrible. If there was another choice in town I would choose it. They take at least 2 weeks every single time to fill my prescription, even when I call in early for refills, they take even longer and constantly give excuses that aren't true (i.e. "We called your Dr's office and they haven't called back", then I called my Dr and they have no messages from the pharmacy). Terrible customer service. I would give you the name of the rude middle aged woman with brown hair but the name on her badge was conveniently too small to read. I spoke to an employee 3 weeks prior to show up at 9 AM on 2/11 to receive a prescription. No confirmation text but I did notice the payment cleared 3 days prior. (Is that even legal)? Anyway, I arrived & the woman argued with me that I was never told that & that I should've received a phone call to let me know it is ready. She nastily said "see! No one called you". It was snowing & I missed work for this appt. Funny how my prescription magically appeared to be ready. The good news is she was training a new person so maybe she just has "short timers disease". New prescription filled and thoroughly advised of all requirements for how to and when to from a very friendly and informative pharmacist.

It takes this pharmacy 7 to 10 business days to fill a prescription. So they won't fill a prescription until the refill date which means you'll have to go a week plus without your medication. Disappointed. I had a prescription for three sterile vitamin ingredients that I intended to draw from each vial and combine at home for B vitamin injections (intramuscular). The three ingredients were (1) B Complex; (2) B 12; and (3) Folate. Well, the vitamins that College Pharmacy compounded could not be mixed in one syringe. When combined, they formed clouds. In my experience giving such injections in the past, these ingredients always mixed. But with College Pharmacy's compounded products, I had to give my poor husband 3 separate injections for each of vitamin. Also, their compounded B Complex has a rather low pH and is thus irritating to the body when injected. It might be perfectly fine for IV use or for IM use if diluted with a bit of saline. But I didn't have saline. Never thought I'd need it, as I hadn't in the past. By the way, the people at this pharmacy are perfectly nice. They just didn't sell me what I think most people would want and expect when they order sterile compounded B vitamins for IM application. In the future, I will skip compounding pharmacies in favor of pharmacies that dispense commercially manufactured sterile vitamins, such as Mylan, which makes B Complex, and Fresenius-kabi, which makes Folate and B12. Lots of pharma companies make sterile B12. It's the B Complex and Folate that are a little harder to find. But they can be found. read more

My gf tried multiple times to fill a rx. Dr office faxed rx over and never got it. Dr office even checked back after faxed rx and verbal. He has been calling to verify. Days later still no response. She might have to hand deliver the script. They seem to have no clue. It's a compounded med. not a standard mfd pill. Dealt with a lot of BS. And still trying to get script. I actually used to work here. Two years ago around May. Rather than training me they let me "learn on my own" and when they did train it was either shadowing so you only learn so much from watching, or the one other person to train me instead showed me her amazon shopping list and kept asking me for my opinion on potential purchases. What the actual hell? These people told me all sorts of crap about myself as if they knew me for years essentially gaslighting me and then fired me because I didn't fit into their "family" Don't use them, don't work for them, don't do anything with these pharmacy. TERRIBLE experience 100% of the time. Everybody has a bad day every now and then. You can't always judge a business based on a single interaction. I give them 1 star (zero stars if I could) based on their consistent terrible conduct 4-6 times a year, every year for several years. I have medication that has to come from their pharmacy, (they compound it, I pick it up, take it to my physician and he administers it) and every single time it is an issue. EVERY SINGLE TIME. And every single refill request takes MULTIPLE phone calls. They have horrible communication between their departments so every time I call and ask for a refill they call me back, several times. One of the calls from them is always to ask. "Do you really want all the milligrams your doctor prescribed?" Like a patient should be able to say, "Nah, just give me xx# of mgs, my physician with years of experience doesn't actually know what I should get, it's not like he, you know, PRESCRIBED it, or anything, but sure let me the patient choose what # of milligrams I think I need." And they do this EVERY time. They will then say it will be ready on xx day. It isn't. Never believe them. I have even gotten messages that says it's ready for pick-up, driven the 75 minute drive (one-way) to have them say nope, it isn't ready. You need to call and verify it's actually ready before you go to get it. Just this last time I requested the refill 2 weeks before my doctor appointment, I know a refill request generates multiple calls so when they hadn't called me 4 days later I called them. They hadn't started my refill. After the promise they would begin working on it I was told it would be ready the following week on Friday at 8:30 am. Two days before I am to pick it up, (Wednesday at 3:30 pm, they call me stating they still HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED the refill but gee, "Do I really want the whole prescription?" Umm yes, duh! That's why I asked for the refill (and stated at the time I asked for the refill, that I wanted the whole prescription, just like I get every single time, for the last several years). Then she says it won't be ready on Friday but the following week. When I stated no I was picking it up on Friday at 8:30 am, she cops an attitude with me. WTF! If you can get your prescription from any other place I would recommend you do. College Pharmacy's customer service and internal processes are HORRIBLE! read more

I started using College Pharmacy in September 2019 by going through a new functional medicine nurse practitioner in my hometown. College pharmacy stated I receive an email with tracking number for my compound hormone prescription. I never did. The prescription was wrote and sent to them August 15, 2019. It took 2 weeks to receive a reaping from them. Then another week to receive compound hormones by Fedex. Here I'm using them for a refill of a different compound hormone. I received a call Friday October 18, 2019 a week later from When prescription was prescribed to me and to pay for it plus I've paid OVERNIGHT shipping to yet not to receive it overnight. read more

They say 3-5 business days for script. I am on day 9 with no refill. They did however charge my credit card 90 dollars 6 days ago.

If you are paying cash they are great, but as with all pharmacies they do not like dealing with insurance. If your prescription requires a prior authorization, they don't bother to call you and tell you, instead they run it as cash and sit on it. Then they proceeded to tell me that it would take about 2 weeks to get the prior authorization even though they aren't even part of that process. I assume this is because of their negotiated rates with the insurance carriers they will get less money for the drugs. Their turnaround time is really slow, I can only assume they are grossly understaffed There is no customer first mentality as their recording talks about. Most the people I have spoken with there are curt and you can tell they certainly don't have a smile on their faces. . Too bad there really aren't other options in the Springs! Update, although they accept my insurance, and they had already filled our order, they refused to process it through the insurance because their profit margin is too small with the insurance. They said we could only pick it up for cash and when I said that I was going to file a complaint with the insurance, they said that they had decided they were not going to release the prescription to us and were going to cancel the order. Said they can choose who to fill prescriptions for, funny though, they didn't have an issue filling it the month before for cash. Must be nice to pick and choose which drugs you submit through insurance, but when you are an authorized provider through an insurance company, I don't think you have that luxury. BTW they have a D rating on the BBB because of State Board actions even though they aren't even an accredited business. Seems they like to bend the rules. Oh and check out this link! I have been using College Pharmacy for more than 3 years. Of late they've demonstrated a real lack of care and a definite failure in terms of customer service. I have been trying to get my latest script filled for almost 2 months. 2 months, with many calls to my doctor and to College Pharmacy, the latter of which has twice waited more than 4 days to even return my call. And when they did? It was to tell me that it's essentially not their problem, and that I have to work everything out on my own. Which is unacceptable. I will be finding another pharmacy. I'm not sure if something's changed there recently, or whether new staff just doesn't give an eff--but I don't have the time or inclination to wait for them to muster up enough energy to care about me as a long-term customer. read more

After reading the other complaints here about College Pharmacy, I can see that my experience isn't unusual and maybe is even typical. The staff is really good at turning the problem back on the customer and not taking responsibility for anything. I typically pick up my scrips in person, and I've become increasingly aware of the chaos in their operation--their employees faces show a lot of stress. No wonder there's so many miscommunications OR no communication. After yet another round of rude and insensitive customer service issues, today's confrontation with them was the last straw. I'm moving all of my prescriptions to another compounding pharmacy. When I told Gail this and expressed my dissatisfaction with their customer service, she had almost no reaction. This is the worst pharmacy in Colorado Springs the staff is very rude and they do not bill insurance so you have to pay full price and wait for your insurance to reimburse you. I have been on the same medication for over five years and have not had one problem until this last dose which was the first time using College Pharmacy to compound it and it worked about half as good as the medication I had been getting through another pharmacy. I would give this pharmacy a zero star but since you have to enter at least one I gave them the one but keep in mind that is really a zero star. I have been using the College Pharmacy for over a year with no problems until about 2 months ago. Normally, I can call in my refill and it is done within 24-48 hours, but the last 2 times I have called the customer service line to find out what the status is on my prescription, because I was unaware that the doctor needed to give me a new script and I have no meds left for 3 or 4 days until they fill it, and asked how I could find out if the script needed to be redone because it takes 10 days then to fill it, she told me that "if we did that for everyone, we would have to hire a new person to make the calls and that isn't in the cards." If you don't like your job answering questions for patients, get a new one because that was just uncalled for!! read more

I sure wish I would have read reviews on College Pharmacy before using them. They are uncaring, unprofessional, and untruthful. My prescription was faxed to them by my doctor's office. They called me for payment information - during that phone call I asked them when I could expect my medication. I was told that my order would be shipped by the following Tuesday - which it wasn't. I was told I would receive it by Thursday - which I didn't receive it, so I called them to ask them about my order, because they NEVER emailed any order confirmation, or shipping information. I asked them to ship it by usps, but they refused - because they only use FedEx. When I tracked the order, my medication was sitting in the FedEx warehouse because College Pharmacy shipped it using the cheapest way possible. Can you believe my medication was sitting at the warehouse less than 4 miles from my residence, but could not deliver it for another four days because they used FedEx Express Saver. When I called College Pharmacy to explain that I needed my medication and asked them to change their shipping method, I was told "NO." They would not change it and I should drive to the FedEx location and pick it up myself. This was my first time ordering from them and it will be my last time....... People beware. read more

All I can say is Wow, what an awful pharmacy! I have never written a review for a pharmacy, nor have I read any (I sure should have in this case!) as a pharmacy is a pharmacy, right?! Wrong, this pharmacy is a mess. As others have said, you won't be told they don't deal with insurance (they doooo, but in a guarded, misleading way) and they do NOT process flexible spending account cards. So, if you have insurance and a flexible spending account you won't be using either of those. When I pressed for reasons WHY I got crazy answers that made no sense, as well as misleading statements blaming "cosmetic" prescriptions and how the written form addresses that when in fact it does not. I told them I did not think I wanted to get my prescription filled through them. That is when they threatened me with shipping the prescription to my house, billing me both for the prescription and the shipping, as well as reporting me to credit bureaus. The woman saying this had a wry smile like, "you will pay for this one way or another". I paid for it and got out of there with my prescription and told them I would never be back and would make sure others heard about how they handle their business and their misleading, dishonest, and horrible customer service. read more

College Pharmacy has horrendous customer service. My drug was not delivered, despite my waiting in the house for FedEx for 2 full days, and I was out of drugs and they did nothing to accommodate me. They told me if they reshipped RX they would charge me for both, the one that did not arrive and the one that they would be sending. They said I needed to wait for FedEx to redeliver. The woman who I spoke to in Customer service sounded like she was 12 years old and basically she blamed me for FedEx inability to deliver. FedEx claimed they would re-deliver but they don't come. College Pharm said they can't use anyone else but FedEx. I asked for regular mail USPS, at least they show up. They said no. I insisted I had waited and waited and was now out of the drug and they needed to do something to accommodate me. She got frustrated with my concerns and said she would be transferring me over unto the head pharmacist and disconnected from the call, at which time I was sent to the head pharmacist voicemail. They don't care about their clients at College Pharmacy and if you have any issues, they will not try to resolve them. You're stuck with the problem. In the end, I was left with no solution, no drug and very frustrated and disappointed in College Pharmacy. I will not use them again. read more

Sad! Just called to speak with the pharmacist to see about a compound prescription and the man couldn't have been much ruder. He was condescending and and aloof and appeared to not want my business or to have the time to answer my serious questions. I was informed he usually only speaks with physicians about this stuff. I have been using College Pharmacy for a number of months now with very few glitches until they underwent a re-certification process and closed down their "clean room" for over 2 months. There was no regard for the patients who require an ongoing, uninterrupted supply of their medications for chronic, serious health conditions. My husband has been receiving IV Vitamin C for cancer treatment and it took several visits to his Dr. to draw blood levels in order to titrate his Vitamin C dose. Deliveries became scant in April and by May I could not get any medication for him until July 1st. They should have referred their clients to other compounding pharmacies since they could not supply us with it but they did not. Once they resumed shipment it was only for a 10 day supply at a time with a $35 shipping fee each time. When I spoke with the pharmacist she was rude and not in the least bit helpful with the situation. I won't get into the specifics but I feel like this pharmacy is unable to provide patients with consistent quality service. The staff would do well to learn how to treat their customers with respect. My experience resembles Cassandra K. If you are paying cash they are great. Last summer a customer service rep stated they are losing too much money running my insurance so they took the full amount from my bank without notice. When I complained and contacted my insurance company I was told that is illegal. I contacted College Pharmacy and they ran it through the insurance and refunded the money, but said they will not do it again. In Nov. 13 (the next time it was due for refill) they ran it again but filled the incorrect prescription so I complained again. This time I was told again they will no longer fill 90-day prescriptions as they are losing money on them. This is a significant cost to me as mine are shipped across country so shipping charges tripled. I was not happy and told them so. My prescription was due for refill again at the end of Jan. 2014 and they informed my doctor they refuse to fill my prescriptions because I yelled at them. Now that I've researched them and found they have been doing this to other customers I understand better. I also called my insurance company and they said College doesn't have to fill 90 day and can do monthly. It doesn't matter because they refuse my business anyway but after finding out about the D Rating with the Better Business Bureau due to a criminal conviction for importing illegal hormones from China, I will NEVER recommend them. WORST. PHARMACY. EXPERIENCE. EVER. I will never patronize this business again. How hard can it be to fill a medication if that's your primary business? Apparently pretty friggin hard. I was extremely inconvenienced, waited days upon days, no phone call to indicate it was being filled, as promised. I called and called and called and NO ONE EVER PICKED UP THE PHONE. It kept returning to the main greeting even after I let it ring for 5 minutes. No way to reach anyone or leave a message. I have been using College Pharmacy for approximately 3 years. In the past, they were mostly courteous, would file my insurance, and mostly were timely in filling my prescriptions. I will not be using them again--I was recently left a message that my prescription was ready but when I arrived, the front desk person could not find my prescription at all and was not aware that I had dropped it off in person. When the pharmacist was questioned, she was not apologetic, instead she made up excuses that it was my fault. I was asked to speak with the owner. I was reluctant, but did, only to realize that typically attitudes come from the top. I cannot recommend them after reading the other reviews. read more
