So these glasses were supposed to remove the strain on my eyes and I was supposed to see better too, especially at the prices we were told. My husband picked up our glasses and I could not see. It was looking at clear glass on the bottom half. Dr. Leonard Fuzylov said he thought it was just for working on the computer. He took them back and said they were fixed. I was able to see better and gave them a try. 6 months later and I cant wear them. It is plain glass on the bottom. I get headaches and blurred vision.. Same with my husband's glasses. That is not bifocals, plus we were charged over $2k for 4 pairs of glasses. I am now using old glasses from over a year ago and we wont be back.

The staff and Doctors continue to be friendly as ever and very accommodating. I have gotten both frames and contact lenses here. The contacts were out of pocket but reasonably priced and the turn around to get the lenses following the exam was quick quick quick. There is a great selection of frames and Paige has helped me pick the right ones to compliment my face every time. I had to bring my 5 year old to my recent appointment and Paige kept him occupied while I met with the Doctor. She changed the TV to cartoons and I heard her engaging my child in conversation too. This made me feel so much more comfortable during my visit. Doctor Lee explained everything to me in detail and answered any questions I had regarding my eye exam. She also gave recommendations around general eye care and suggested follow ups for the next 2 years (my insurance covers exams every 2 years). I am still extremely happy and satisfied with my trusty vision center. I continue to highly recommend this location to anyone looking for quality eye care!

Since it seemed pretty highly rated from the many ratings and reviews that I checked, as well as it being within only around a mile from where I live, I decided to try this place out. The office is quite small and it is somewhat cramped in my opinion. There is one main room, while the other rooms consist of two exam rooms, an extra room where someone evaluates glasses, and a bathroom I believe. The small space is not ideal and it seems a bit too condensed in my opinion, but the limited space also clearly shows all the possible frames that they offer. Even though this is a small office, they offer many frames that range in price, appearance, and design. For a very small space, there is a lot of variety and selections within the small space. When I arrived there for my first appointment after not having an eye exam in several years, the front staff communicated quickly and clearly with me. I did not bring my ID, nor my insurance card, but they still allowed me to go through with my eye exam appointment, and they still provided me with the opportunity to select new glasses based on what my insurance covers, along with the choice of looking at all the other out of pocket options. Though I did wait nearly a half an hour for my exam, it made sense because they were busy the day I arrived. As I was waiting, families were trying on new glasses, a couple was waiting for their own exam, and there were parents with their children looking at the glasses. The workers at the front desk was not extremely friendly, but in terms of service, they were decent. They were clear, direct, and informative, which is what I needed after not being at an eye office for a while. What I really liked about my experience is that there was freedom. I was given as much time and space as I needed to closely look at and try on all the frames they provided, both insurance covered and otherwise. They did not rush me or showed any signs of impatience, so even when it got crowded, it felt interestingly calm because I was given my own space to explore even within the many patients that were there to have their eyes evaluated and choose their new glasses. It's very clear that this office is a family office. I saw many people come here with their family or friends, and the staff all seemed very close with one another as well. It's a tightly connected community office, but not really an expansive or varied one, given their limited space. However, when I was choosing my new glasses, they were very helpful in explaining to me the value of lens thickness, frame size, and overall cost comparison. There were also opportunities for discounts as well, so they were very informative when it came down to assisting me in narrowing down all the glasses I possibly want by explaining how to differentiate between what I wanted versus what I needed. They were very focused and considerate in making sure I obtained glasses that I needed for my prescription, and were accomodating to my preferences. For the rather small and cramped space of this office, they do a lot and work very actively with what they have.

The girls behind the counter that assist with the glasses selection are very nice and are very patient. They were also very helpful in filling out all paperwork for insurance reimbursement. They do have a large selection of glasses that are included with your insurance which is great. Will be coming here for all my future appointments.

My prescription was exactly the same as from my first exam. I put a down-payment on contacts and ordered inexpensive glasses. The total was $760.00. Two weeks later no contacts, and instead of ordering contacts they only ordered glasses. I asked about the contact lenses. They had not ordered them nor had they any recollection of my having ordered them. Wanted to charge me again for contacts and or give me a prescription to get them somewhere else. My down-payment was $380.00 for what was supposed to be contacts and readers with a inexpensive frame. I refused the glasses without the contacts that were my primary reason for going to this optometrist. After a long and unproductive conversation I am giving them a negative review.

I had such a bad experience here for my recent eye exam. Not sure if it was the car salesman at the front, or the Eye doctor's fault. I basically needed cvs readers, but I wanted progressive lenses. I have insurance with full coverage. I was charged almost $700. I knew something was wrong. I checked my insurance when I got home and all of it was wrong. I had to bring in proof for the salesman to come correct. The guy said my bad, and refunded me $300. He knew just what he was doing, I gave him my insurance card. When the glasses came in, it was the wrong prescription. Couldn't see at all. So I then had to come in for another exam to correct the mistake. With a different eye doctor. I was crystal clear with both eye doctors. They are readers over my contacts. Over a month later, glasses came back with a line on them, not progressives. So they were sent back again. When they finally came in, 3 months after original appt, the prescription was off. I couldn't see up close, I had to pull back to see. Which is the reason I came in to start with. I left with the glasses, bc who can deal with this incompetency for a 4th time. Here I paid $400 out of pocket for glasses I can't use. He never adjusted the price for the wrong prescription lenses he sold me from the start. Meanwhile I shouldn't have paid more then my copay for this whole ordeal. Yet they try and make you feel like they are giving you a deal with their SPIEL! Spin the wheel for a discount, after I extort you. Place is a joke!

Especially when the wind hit them while driving I finally had enough and went back to Oakland Gardens Eye Care. I saw the fabulous and amazing Lee whose grace and attitude add to the already magnificent vibes coming from this place. Lee first told me that I can get a 12 noon appointment but on her own called the doctor who was on a conference call to see if he had time to see me. The doctor in question is Dr.Nerry Nayzov, and I've seen him many time's prior and found him to be a perfectionist in his art. He can spot a problem and analyze it with a million tests like other doctors. Today was no different as soon as Dr.Nerry saw me he realized that I had the start of an eye infection. He took some pictures and ordered a strong eye medicine and told me that I should see results in a week after taking eye drops 3 time's a day. I strongly recommend this place everyone here makes you feel welcome and like part of the family

The owner explained to me as to why I was having so much problem with my new glasses. Apparently, the frame had a manufacturing defect, and that style has been discontinued. They have offered to replace it with a new pair of glasses free of charge. Fingers crossed that this new pair won't be giving me any more problems.
