I am big fan of their burgers and gyros. I am actually surprised by how good their burgers are! They don't have the nice 5 guys grill flavor, but they are beefy, salty and juicy. Today was a very surprising day regarding our CTP order. We've ordered from there 2 times before via Grub Hub once they popped up as serving our address. The first time they delivered normally, and the food was very good, the second time we ordered our order was canceled right away as there was no driver available. That's totally understandable no issue there. Then a few days ago we called and ordered an extra-large baked ziti pie to pick up on the way home and that was also excellent. This order however was one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had in my life. About 90 minutes after our order was placed we received a call from CTP telling us that their delivery driver walked out once they saw the order was going to Brooktondale. And that they don't deliver to our area / have been having trouble with Grub Hub showing that they do. But they're going to have the owner or manager on duty deliver our food personally and not to worry because it has been under a heat lamp, so it'll still be hot. At this point I'm wondering why they didn't just cancel our order right off the bat, I mean if you don't want to deliver to where we are then don't do it. Take responsibility for your business and take care of the issue with Grub Hub while canceling orders out side of your delivery area. Without fail the food comes and the pizza is barely luke warm, basically cold and not very appealing. The sides we ordered however were fine, so we called Grub Hub hoping to either get our pizza replaced or get a refund so that we could order from somewhere else. The Grub Hub rep calls CTP and is told by a manager named John that they won't issue a refund for something they can't see but they offered to send out a driver with a new pizza and pick up the old one. I asked if there would be some kind of time estimate / guarantee that this wouldn't happen again since they don't deliver to our area but are now willing to re-deliver to our area??? The Grub Hub rep talked to John and came back with the following options that all required us to call CTP directly to set up a replacement. 1. Schedule a replacement / pickup delivery with no time guarantee because it's a busy Friday night. 2. Drive the pizza back to CTP ourselves and pick up a refund for the pizza and a new pizza. We decided to go with option two, so we got off the phone with Grub Hub and called CTP only to be told that John wasn't there and there's not going to be a manager available until Wednesday. When I asked if there was anyone else to talk to we were told no that we needed to call back on Wednesday. I asked how we were supposed to get our pie replaced and if I was supposed to keep it until Wednesday and I was put on hold and then hung up on. Not wanting to give up without checking on all options we called the number back that had called us earlier to tell us why our order was so late. Immediately I was met with someone yelling at me about how I was told to never call them again which isn't true. I then tried to ask about what I'm supposed to do with the pizza and the man yelled that "They know where we live" so I need to stop calling them back. When I said "What?" the man repeated himself that we need to stop calling because "They know where we live". At this point after clearly being threatened I got off the phone and called the Tompkins county Sherriff and described the situation. They dispatched a trooper to our house for my wife and I to give them a statement as I wanted to make sure this was documented in case this individual wound up doing something crazy. After the trooper left we then called Grub Hub back and due to the new circumstances, they refunded our pizza and the tip. It's important to note that I only wanted to be refunded for the pie and now tip because of the complete lack of service and being threatened. We still paid for the sides because we're not greedy or bad people just trying to get a free meal. If I could give this place negative stars I would, suffice to say we will never be going back to this place again and I will tell anyone that will listen about the terrible experience that we had tonight. If you value your family's safety I'd recommend not ordering from this establishment. read more

The pizza is good, but be warned if you are ordering take-out with certain toppings. Even if you wait a few minutes, the cheese can be so hot that it's still basically liquid and the toppings and cheese can slide around. This is a thing with all pizzas everywhere - and being warm and gooey is usually good - but its next-level here. I had all the cheese cheese and toppings sliding around like they were soup and the whole pizza was messed up, even though I held it upright and carried it about 200 feet from the store. This isn't a problem with plain cheese pizza - and the pizza when not ruined is good - but this is just an infuriatingly stupid problem for a Pizza place to have. read more

I recently ordered a burger from this establishment, which was quite delicious, but I more so had a problem with the service. Long story short, my failure to tip got me a major tongue lashing from David, a CTP employee. I received my food and we went our separate ways. David then calls me back asking for a tip and when I tell him that I decided not to tip that is when he proceeds to blow up on me and tell me how I shouldn't be ordering out if I can't afford to tip. I've never received treatment like that from any employee at any eatery. I'm confused as to why he even felt comfortable enough to call a customer and begin to snap on them for not tipping him. He sure as hell won't be getting a tip any time soon with that attitude. I was offended and appalled to be treated in such a way by David. I hope CTP does something about it and does not allow him to continue treating customers in this way. They'd be turning away good business if they do. read more

Just ate a bunch of slices delivered to a seminar on campus and I must say wow even their fresh pizza tastes like crap. Bland, rubbery, and very greasy, I definitely don't recommend dropping by this place in person or even bother ordering from here. A solid chain like Papa Johns does pizza so much better. Decent pizza, but $3.50 per slice is pretty steep. There is a lot of variety though. I liked the usual pepperoni and sausage pizzas. I tried the barbecue chicken once and wasn't a fan because the barbecue sauce easily overpowers the taste of the rest of the pizza. There are lots of other interesting-looking options but I haven't tried them yet. Also, compared to other places, I really like the crust their pizzas have. Chicken wings here are pretty good too, but they kinda overdo it with the sauce. I didn't think having the box tilted slightly in the bag would be a big deal but so much sauce flowed out. They're pretty fast at getting your pizzas ready, but other than that, their service could use some work. One time I asked for a slice to go with an order of chicken wings so I could bring it back to my office, and the guy rolled his eyes at me, like it was an inconvenience for him to give me a box for a single slice. I don't see what the big deal is; those boxes are barely big enough to fit two slices anyway. I've never been quite a big fan of CTP, but their service and product are both so horrific that I've decided that putting up with it is not worth it. Product: When they don't mess up your order, the pizza itself is mediocre at best. I've been going for the past 2 years and I've never tried a slice there that was phenomenal. On top of that, slices are now $3.50 each. That's absurdly high given that I could buy a full Papa John's pie for the price of 2 slices of CTP's junk. Service: The other day I ordered a simple plain slice. What I got back was a charred mess. I would have expected that the chef would say "Looks like we overcooked it, would you like another slice instead?" But no, the chef did not ask that. When I politely pointed out that my slice was burnt and I wanted a new one, the guy tried to charge me again for his mistake. That should have been the end of it, but it wasn't. I went back later that week, to maybe give them another shot. When I reached the front of the line to order, the man behind the counter skipped over me and asked what a large group behind me wanted, first. When I politely tried to chime in after the other group so I could get my snack, the guy skipped me, again for a group behind me. Disclaimer: I understand that they have to put up with drunk college kids, but that in no way excuses their service issues. With a place that is covered in walls that have scribbles, graffiti, artwork, and everything in between, you should not have high expectations for quality food. Instead, this place is a quick fix for your late night munchies after a drunkfest. It will regularly be busy around 1am, so prepare to wave your money around at the small counter and jump at the chance to say your order. Pizza and wings here will hit the spot but are by no means something to rave about. My go to pizza is the chicken broccoli pizza, fresh mozzarella pizza, or garlic white pizza. The fresh mozzarella pizza has pieces of basil and big pieces of mozzarella, which I love. I've also had the chicken wings, which are doused in a ton of sauce. After you eat the wings, there will still be a thick layer of sauce left in your tin take-out container. Service is pretty quick, and prices aren't too shabby. You get what you pay for. The place is very small with minimal seating, so your best bet is just to bring it home. Girls, beware: if you are dressed nicely (let's say, cute dress & high heels), the guys who work here WILL give you a creepy smile and undress you with their eyes. read more

One thing I like is they're really have a great consistant for both customer service and food quality. I really like it. And two things I don't like is the chicken wing sauce is venigar smells too strong and the table and the window are not really clean and always dusty. We work at an oncology office and we ordered 5 pizzas, we requested the total- they gave us a total of $75.19, so we collect all the money from each individual. We wait almost an hour and 45 minutes for our pizza, 10 minutes before the driver gets here they call and say that we misquoted you and the total will actually be $96, when we ask to speak with the manager he was completely rude and inappropriate. He did not try to resolve the problem at all, instead he treated us very poorly... with this being said the customer service was horrible and I will NEVER eat at this establishment again, nor will I EVER recommend it to anyone else! read more

Don't be thrown off by the graffiti all over the wall, this place has very good pizza. OK the new location doesn't have any graffiti :( . I love my crust thin and crunchy and CTP does the best job. College Town Pizza is my default lunch option in college town, which isn't necessarily high praise, but probably captures the relevant scale. The pizza crust is generally crisp and chewy and the pizza toppings come in many different varieties that are generally tasty. My favorite pizza toppings are probably their Hawaiian (comes with Ricotta), the Veggie combo, the fresh mozzarella, and the eggplant parmigiana. At first I gave the interior, which is just a bunch of Cornell graffiti credit for being 'creative', but increasingly I just think it's kinda disgusting... so I usually get the pizza to go. read more

I'll give College Town Pizza 4 stars, but not for being especially "good" pizza, or anything life-changing. Instead, I'm giving 4 stars for being the only pizza place in town that makes a decent NY-style pie. The crust is thin, but not crackery. The sauce is simple and garlicky, not too sweet or overloaded with dried oregano. And the cheese is that glorious, gooey mass that smothers the entire thing, with that familiar fluorescent orange greasy glisten. Basically, it's an oily gutbomb of a pizza. But, as a displaced, homesick New Yorker, this is the type of pizza I want when I get a pizza craving. If you want a thick-crusted pizza with tons of toppings, or an artisan pie with locally-sourced ingredients, or a papa john's knockoff, this is NOT the place for you (not that there's anything wrong with any of those!) But if you're like me, and miss the slightly shady by-the-slice joints that exist on every corner in the NY tri-state area, this is your best bet. It's not the greatest NY-style pizza, but it'll satisfy the nostalgia. read more

This is for the new location. It is a lot cleaner than the old one, and roomier. Service is just ok. Some of the workers can be creepy and will hit on the female students, but the owner is relaxed. This place is best for a quick pizza fix. I'm usually in and out within 3 minutes. The pizza is not the best, but better than chained fast food pizza (i.e. dominos). It's best to look at the pizza before ordering. I once ordered a slice of margherita pizza and the owner added the basil after heating the slice up in the oven. read more

First off, this guy needs to be fired (working the night of 10/3 - i hate to speak badly about someone in the service industry but seriously!! you were so rude). Maybe it's because I just had Mama Teresa's a few days ago, but this is probably the best pizza in Collegetown. It's mediocre NY style pizza- thin crust, decent sauce, a fair bit of rubbery cheese. There are only a few tables here, so I would recommend carryout or delivery. read more
