While I can't compare it to its previous location, my friends say it now has a more romantic, candlelit vibe -- makes sense, because it definitely feels like a date night spot. I went with a friend. We shared two dishes, because being friends means splitting carbs equally: * Diavola Pizza ($15) This seems to be their star pizza, so we had to try it. A bit salty for my taste, but my friend had no complaints -- she's good at keeping important things to herself. 4/5 * Truffle Alfredo Pasta ($19) I love truffle. It could be infused into a rock, and I'd probably try to eat it. So, naturally, I ordered this. My friend had never tried truffle before, but she ended up loving it, which makes me feel like I did some kind of culinary charity work. Let me preface this with the fact that I worked at a top 25 restaurant in Chicago for 2 years. I worked at Carmine's uptown here in NYC for 7 years. Service and actual, "hospitality", are the most important thing. People will always go back to a place if they have great service, even if their food is only mediocre; people will hesitate if service is not good. I travel for my job, and I have eaten at 90 "Food Network" places in 39 states. I was here Tuesday night, October 7th. I had a pretty tasty clam pizza, and added the freshly grated mozz. The red pepper flakes matched up well. The place doesn't sell iced tea or coffee; (they want you to buy liquor or fancy soft drinks, smh). The waitress, Daisy, was quite good. She handled her station well, she knew what she was doing. Water was refilled, no complaints about Daisy. The hostess was dripping with attitude. The hostess did not even walk me to the table; she pointed at it and i was holding a menu and brought it with me. She POINTED at the table!Whatta freakin' turnoff. I wanted to say "Get over yourself, honey you're in the middle of nowhere, (or as the kids say, "this place is in the cut." ) There is no signage on the door. That should be corrected, but I guess they want to be cool, like a place that "you have know where to go." It's an above average place in a college town. Other dishes looked good and even interesting, at the tables around me. I'd be more enthusiastic if the hostess wasn't so condescending. I was even wearing a shirt and tie, I'm a college admissions rep in town at a Grad School fair targetting Cornell kids. I was close to leaving but I asked two people at the bar if this was worth it. I stuck around because it was near my hotel. Management might want to re-train the staff about welcoming guests, instead of taking the guests for granted. I might not return to this place next year. Favorite pasta in Ithaca! For apps, I've tried the meatballs, Stracciatella, and Honey Whipped Ricotta. All were delicious but I think the ricotta was my favorite. I have tried all of their pastas (except for the chicken parm) and my favorite is the truffle alfredo. Vodka is probably second followed closely by the Zozzona. As for pizza, I haven't tried too many of them- just the Vodka Roni, Diavola, and Margherita. I wish they had a Diavola pizza with vodka sauce. Tiramisu is solid. Good, but nothing to write home about. I'm a huge foodie and feel like the restaurant scene is rather lacking in Ithaca. However, Thompson and Bleecker does not disappoint! I have been here around 5 times, and each time the food is very consistent. The service has been good for the most part. One time, there was a scuffle with a rather rude waiter, but perhaps it was a one time thing. The food is good enough that I still return. Really like this place!! I have gone twice now and it is a great option in town. It is definitely a bit hidden but look around the doors that your map tells you to go to and you'll find it! So far, I've tried the: - T&B caesar salad - Parisian salad - Honey whipped ricotta - Spicy alla vodka pasta - Truffle alfredo pasta - Party on dude pizza Of the salads, the parisian takes the cake for me! Both are great, but the caesar is a bit different than traditional with the addition of brussel sprouts and pancetta. Really love both though, you can't go wrong with either! The honey whipped ricotta was good but a bit sweet for my liking. That's just personal preference though, my friend really loved it and could not stop eating it! The bread it came with was such a highlight though. Both pastas are great but I think the spicy vodka is just a bit better as I found the alfredo to be a bit on the heavy side. The spicy vodka also isn't very spicy but you can add as much chili flakes as you want (which I did)! And for adding chicken to either, they cut it up and mix it in which I appreciate much more than just a big piece of chicken on top! And the pizza is solid but I wish there were more toppings on it! But the pizzas are not customizable sadly. The restaurant is also very cute inside and not too hard to get into from my experience. I think I had the same server both times and she was lovely! I looked at the menu online, and wasn't at all sure. We had iffy pizza the night before (college tours w/granddaughter) and I just wasn't sure, in fact suggested other places! But she had it on good authority that it was good and it was! We found a parking place after a few tries, and entered about 5:15 and were seated. I visited T&B at their "new" location on Seneca Street (I believe they were formerly on the Commons). At the time, they didn't have any outdoor signage, so I was a bit uncertain I had found them. Once inside, I knew I was in the right place. No reservations taken, I arrived well into the evening seating, and luckily they had a table for 2. The place was very busy for a Wednesday night, but not out of control, not with people lining up outside. We didn't need to, but perhaps one could sit at the bar until a table opens up. The service is great, staff friendly and they do a great job even though it can get very busy very fast. We got the Caesar salad and bruschetta appetizer and they both were good, nice size to share and I recommend sharing. Next we got the margarita pizza and the pepperoni pizza and they both didn't miss, great crust, great flavors and had a great cheese pull. The star of the show and I mean STAR !!! Was the truffle fettuccine Alfredo pasta, I can't even put in words the flavors I experienced, the best way I could describe it is WOW! Creamy, rich and just so flavorful. I am giving a one star review despite the fact that the food was good. the service was good and the ambiance was good (though not in the back room where we sat). The restaurant does not take reservations and we waited outside in the cold for 45 minutes until it opened at 5:07 on Saturday, May 2, 2026. There was only one couple ahead of us. There were four of us, myself (I am 77 years old), my daughter, my grandson (a Cornell student), and my husband. When we entered we were not allowed to be seated because my husband was not present (he was unable to find parking). I told the hostess that we had disabilities. My daughter has herniated and bulging discs and has difficulty walking steps and I am claustrophobic.. I told the hostess and manager that I could order for my husband but they insisted that it was their policy not to seat people till everyone arrived. The hostess was curt, unfriendly and lacked compassion. By the time my husband arrived (about 10 minutes after us) the downstairs seats were all taken and we were taken upstairs. I asked if there was a window and the manager said yes but the window blinds were closed. More important than the details of the experience was the overall dismissive attitude of the hostess and manager. Although the restaurant has a seating policy, under the circumstances they may have made an exception because of our situation and seated us where we felt we needed to be (my husband arrived before we sat down). The whole experience had a very negative effect on us and I am still upset over it ten days after I was there. It is obvious that the hostess and manager are not concerned about a negative review. If we had been seated in the main dining room originally by the time the server brought the menu and water my husband would have been there. When they advertise the restaurant they should include that they do not accommodate people with disabilities and seniors. I have never given a negative review; however this had such an impact on us that I felt it necessary. read more

Really good Italian food! There are typically really long wait times, so my roommates and I would order takeout, but delicious nonetheless. We love their Vodka Pasta which has large pipe rigate pasta smothered in a cheesy, creamy vodka sauce with sprinkled Parmesan on top. I also like to add some red pepper flakes to enhance the flavors. Their Truffle Alfredo Pasta is also delicious. It has a strong truffle flavor and not too heavy despite being a cream-based sauce. Their Fungi pizza was good but not extraordinary. It was flavorful but needed more toppings in my opinion. Overall, really great restaurant in Ithaca. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and execution of the dishes are great. Get there early if you're hungry. We waited about an hour for a four top and were welcomed by very friendly staff into a very energized dining room. We are a family of four ready to devour the whole menu and immediately doubted that the tiny, tiny four-top table we sat at would be able to allow us to enjoy our dinner. We started to enjoy our apps which immediately crowded the table and servers struggled to place dishes around us while I rushed to place the water and wine bottles on the floor to make room! We kept eyeing the much bigger table which opened right next to us... while we were enjoying our apps and salad the gigantic pasta dishes and pizza were served. Horrific timing. Where? Well - unless you placed them on top of our apps and salad .. we gulped down whatever we could and asked for leftovers to be packaged for us to take with us. So zero enjoyment of our apps. We did the best we could to maneuver the main dishes around the very tiny table while enviously looking at the proper, bigger four-top given away to two tiny teenage young ladies with plenty of space to enjoy their meals. We struggled through our meal and left without dessert. Overall - the poor planning and chaotic, inexperienced service (though friendly) made this a less-than-average experience. Highly recommend that these tiny tables remain for two people and for the hostess and servers to have a keen eye to switch tables (as available) when one is not working. Heard they moved to a bigger location in Downtown Ithaca and decided to give it a try because I was in town. Arrived at around 4:45pm and there was already a long line outside the restaurant. Luckily, we were seated and I absolutely loved the interior. It gave a cozy feeling and the lighting fit the ambiance really well. The waiter was very friendly and outgoing. Made us feel comfortable and cracked a few jokes here and there. We ordered two pizzas and two pastas, which were both so delicious. My favorite was the Di Parma because it had a bit of sweetness to it because of the Mike's hot honey. I LOVED my experience at Thompson and Bleeker! It is a very popular spot in Ithaca - I stood in like 10 to 15 minutes prior to opening and there was already a line out the door! As soon as 5 PM hit, pretty much all the tables were filled immediately. They held my table for a few minutes until my partner parked (it's all street parking) which was very nice. They recently moved locations but their new location is beautiful, slightly bigger, and has great decor! They do not have any signage yet outside though, but it's easy to recognize with the crowd! Now to the food - as a vegetarian, I felt there were amble choices for me. We ordered the Honey Whipped Ricotta as our app which was so tasty with a perfect texture to the ricotta. For mains, we tried the Truffle Alfredo and Giardino Pizza - both were amazing! The truffle alfredo was not too heavy, and the sauce had a strong flavor. The Giardino was made very well with a nice, not-too-oily crust that held up well! For dessert, the tiramisu was great and a good portion for two. Recently tried their new location and it was great! I loved the aesthetic of their new place. Although their past location was really cute, this one seems to be more spacious with the additional seating and has significantly better lighting! Another pro since the reopening is their improvement in service. Understandably, food service can be extremely stressful, but their previous staff would sometimes be outright unpleasant which is a main reason why I stopped eating there. Now, the staff seem genuinely enjoyable, friendly, and happy to help navigate the menu and deal with a busy restaurant. In terms of food, their Margherita pizza, substituted with vegan mozzarella cheese, is AMAZING!! I'm unsure if they changed their vegan cheese brand or just perfected the cook, but it is so delicious! Perfectly topped with basil and EVOO, I will definitely be returning for more! Their "Pomodorino" pasta was decent. The flavor of the sauce was delicious, but the pasta itself was undercooked and had a chewy texture. Pro since you know the pasta is handmade, but con since the texture was lacking. They also don't substitute pasta types so if you order the Pomodoro it HAS to be spaghetti. For dairy-free/vegan individuals, I think the pizza is the best bet! The other pastas look great, but I wish there was more variety of dairy-free sauces. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience! It was date night again, and I'd wanted to get T&B crossed off on my bucket list. It's a small restaurant with a vibe that's a cross between classy and whimsical. It's very cramped, though (which is saying a lot because I'm from NYC). Date and I ate from two pastas. Food is served family style so sharing is encouraged. The aesthetic of this spot is really cute. Industrial meets chic tea party. The truffle Alfredo is delicious, however I question the authenticity or quantity of the truffle used. Likely powder. I will say though, I would re-order. The funghi pizza was absolutely delicious but the crust was already soggy by the time it came to us. The spaghetti pomodoro was tomatoes based and nice, but simple. The the stracciatella mozzarella was amazing. Hands down, the best thing here. The saddest part was when we were offered parmesan, it was the parmesan that you get at a budget pizza place.
