My Civic 2014 was rear ended with significant damage and I received full liability coverage from the other party insurance (Liberty Mutual). As part of the process, I had to bring the car to a Liberty Mutual adjuster before I can bring it to the body shop of my choice. I was referred by my friend to Collision Specialties (CS). My friend had major accident on his MDX with damage impacting its chassis. He was extremely happy with the repair performed at CS. Before I went to CS, I called and talked to Mark (CS owner?). He was very courteous and explained the process and what I can expect from the moment I contacted the adjuster, getting the estimate, how to work on the diff between the first estimate and the real repair costs, car rental, etc. His explanation was really thorough and he also answered my questions better than the insurance representative. At the appointment time (early morning), Mark met me for his assessment. He found a couple additional damage on the car that the insurance adjuster didn't detect. These are very subtle body/door gaps that won't be detected by non-professional but once he showed me, I can see the damage. He was super thorough, professional and courteous. Then he gave me a date to start the repair (the following Monday) so he can order the parts and get the repair ready. He also gave recommendation on how to deal with the car rental and how to get the rental when I drop off the car for repair later. On the repair date, he explained again the process where he had to disassemble the damage parts to assess any internal damage then discuss with the insurance about additional damage if necessary. It took about a week to repair and the car was back immaculate. Perfect body and paint jobs. They used original manufacturer (Honda) parts. They also clean the car before I picked it up. The repair takes 2 days less than what he promised. I only need to drop off the rental car at CS and they will take care the rest (Enterprise Car rental picked up the rental car at the shop). I am very satisfied with the repair, with the service, status updates and the fact that they are easy to be contacted. I'm even happier having the confidence that my car has been restored to the like new condition. I would definitely recommend CS if you need any body repair in Charlotte area. The location may not be easy to find and when you arrive, the place may not be as fancy as car dealerships but you will feel the difference after you talk to the owner. Also you can tell that these people are the experts. They really know what they are doing and almost kind of perfectionist too. Moreover, they know how to treat the customer well. This is the most amazing body shop I have ever worked with. I have been a repeat customer at this business over three times and will forever bring my Acura back if necessary. I HIGHLY recommend this body shop for any body work, big or small! I also know they detail cars, etc. Mark- the owner- is absolutely to most stand up man I have ever worked with. Not only is he honest, true and professional, he also goes above and beyond for his clients. The first time my car was wrecked, Mark delt directly with both insurance companies, provided me with a rental car and cut out all middle men. He had the car back to me early and it looked absolutely better then when I purchased it. The second time I had to have body work done, my care was $1000 from being considered totaled. Mark does exceptional work! He is very friendly and gets each car looking like new in a timely fashion. I have been a customer of Marks for several years and my 2008 Jetta still looks as new as it did when I became the proud owner of it. In 2010, someone vandalized the hood of my Jetta in the middle of the night. The hood was dented and the VW emblem was destroyed. Mark fixed it and only had to replace the emblem. Jetta looked good as new. When Charlotte's worst hail storm occured in 2011, my jetta was covered in golf ball size dents. Mark got every single dent out with no problems and did not use a speck of paint. I couldnt tell the dents were ever there. A neighbor backed into my Jetta in 2012 and made a small dent and scratched the paint. Mark made it look good as new. This year I parked too close to my boyfriends truck and scraped the side of our bumpers. This was the first time the Jetta needed paint. Mark made it look as good as new. I am a BMW 528it Wagon owner and have dealt with many body collision shops and various BMW dealerships in my 23 year BMW ownership. Mark and the staff were so friendly and accomadating to me . Initially I found the shop on my work trips to Monroe on 74. I stopped in and told Mark that I had a BMW wagon that had a dented tailgate and I had sourced a used one and would he be willing to paint and install. I tried other shops and they said no and had quoted me astonomical prices to either repair or replace the rear tailgate. Mark was happy to let me bring my used rear tailgate and paint the matching MohaveBraun Individual BMW color. Collision Specialties did an excellent, seamless, quality job on replacing the front bumper of my pearl-white Acura TSX. Their paint job matches PERFECTLY with the rest of my vehicle (my boyfriend even commented on it, which is saying a lot), which was one of my main concerns. My car was damaged by hail and I decided to take it to Collision Specialties after a friend recommended them. There were over 300 dents just on the roof and more on the sides of the car. I picked my car up a few weeks ago and it looks brand new! They did an amazing job! My car was even detailed inside and out! The owner Mark is super friendly and kept me in the loop the entire time my car was being repaired. He was great to work with and was very honest with me. I had a mild fender bender the week of April 1. The other party was responsible for the incident and his insurance company referred me to a repair facility in Rock Hill. Upon review of the business via the internet I did not care to have my car repaired at this business. I contacted Scott Clark Toyota and was referred to Collision Specialties. I recently bought a 2017 Silverado. Not three months after buying it, I got hit and had fender and bumper damage. I looked around but felt comfortable with how Brian explained how they would fix the truck. They did an incredible job. It is the worst feeling to have a new truck get hit and not know if it will still look new after. They did an amazing job. Collision specialties offers excellent customer service and outstanding work. I have known Mark (owner) and Brian (Manager) a long time. They have done work on a couple of our cars. Recently we had our 2013 Subaru STI there after an accident and they took care of everything for us from start to finish. I was driving down a back road when an Amazon driver wasn't paying attention and slammed right into me (their fault). After picking up my truck Mark contacted me and told what had happened. Mark and his crew again did an awesome job for me! My 2001 Boxster S was totaled by the insurance company, but I bought it back and it looks better than it ever has! The staff here is easy to work with and to talk to. One of them even waited on me after hours until I could get there for the final inspection and pick-up. My wife's Jeep was T-boned in an accident. Because it was an older vehicle the insurance company marked it as totaled. I discussed with Mark if the damage was fixable for the amount that the insurance company was going to give us and he said it was. That was great news because the last thing we needed was to have to add a car payment to our financial situation. Insurance company quote on my recent reapir tried to approve the use of used junkyard parts to repair my front bumper and Mark was not satisfied with what replacement parts were available to get the job done right so he acted as my advocate got the insurance company to approve a factory made replacement front bymper assembly and my car looks brand newt! Many other body shops in town would have just taken what they could get from the junkyard and band-aided it as best as they could. I needed some minor body work done fast and researched several collision shops in the Matthews area.
