After watching a video from one of my favorite food reviewers I wanted to check this place out. My mom lives in the area, and I thought this would be a good place to take her to celebrate her birthday. I ordered the Churrasco Campesino, which was good, I don't remember my mother's and sister's orders, but they really liked their meals as well. I did research some reviews and remembered reading that some people didn't like how the tipping was handled. I forgot to keep this in mind when I paid, I included a tip. When I got home, I reviewed the check because it seemed a little high and realized the tip portion isn't preprinted on the receipt like most restaurants and it was built into the total price. So, I basically left over a 40 percent tip, I should have analyzed the receipt better before paying (this is something to keep in mind). Checked out this Colombian steakhouse in Bound Brook, NJ after seeing it on TikTok, and it truly lived up to the hype. The place is adorable! Beautifully decorated for Christmas and such a cozy, festive vibe. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. It was a bit loud where we sat directly in the middle and many people were celebrating birthdays so lots of singing. The vibe was so on point! The premium cocktails were on the higher side at $21 each, but they were well-made. We ordered the Picada Grande for only four of us and could not believe the amount of food that came out. We couldn't finish the food. Everything was delicious, and we still left with around 6 pounds of leftovers! A great spot for a fun night out with fantastic food, beautiful ambiance, good entertainment, and great service at a good price! Third time going for brunch, 2nd time with Kimberly as our waitress. Food was good and filling. I always have leftovers to bring home. I get the mixed grill plate on the brunch menu. The place has a full bar (though no beers on tap), was bright and clean, but does get kind of loud. Our server, Alexandra, who was super friendly, showed us how to scroll through the electronic menu devices and then was back in a few to take our drink orders. I ordered a mango margarita and Wifey had a Mango mojito. Using Alexandra's recommendation we also ordered the calamari to start (order it...it was fantastic). Came here on a Saturday evening. They have valet parking. The place is pretty big with 2 sections to choose from to sit. We sat right away and were given tablets for the menu. I like that all the food options had pictures. We were a party of 3 and ordered 3 mock tails. A mojito, passion fruit margarita, and one that tasted like a fruit punch. The drinks were really good but too much ice was used so it finished quickly. We then ordered a filet mignon stake with fries, garlic salmon with rice and beans, a side of tostones, yuca, and the mixed empanadas. Everything came out super quick and was excellent. Came to this spot from an Instagram post! Street parking is nearly impossible, but they have valet parking. Walked in to beautiful decor the minute you walked in. The bathroom was decorated just as nice. Our server greeted us and was friendly and attentive. We had a pitcher of Sangria it was good. We started with Mix Colombiano for appetizer, it was decent. The steaks are okay as expected, the service was good and attentive. This is a steak house and the reason you are there is the steaks. It would be nice if a salad came as a side. About 10 minutes later we get our entrees but still no drinks or the appetizer. Mid-way through our entree, we finally get our drinks and that was the last interaction we had with the server until we asked for the check. This was the worst service I have ever received and the service here is always mid. They spend so much time and money on creating an experience -- forced valet parking, a ton of decor and photo opps, live music, photographer, but don't spend time on ensuring their service is up to par. 2nd time here. We came to try the $11.99 lunch special. It was awesome! I could only eat the soup, as it filled me up! I brought the rest home . The soup was Hearty & flavorful, big pieces of chicken, yucca, potatoes, carrots & pieces of corn on the cob in a super rich perfectly seasoned broth. Finished with cilantro. Yummy! My husband said the chicken leg on the special was done perfectly. Fell off the bone. The rice was delicious. I tasted mine. They obviously use more than just water when they cook it. I was having work done at my house and wanted to order some food. I spent over $1,000 and we were NOT happy with the service or quality of food. This restaurant cannot handle large orders. I never received a phone call, just text messages saying my order would be 'late'. I ordered it for 12:30 delivery and it did not arrive until 1:47pm. Some standouts are the Tamarind duck. Thai chicken basil (not spicy) but very flavorful. The sushi is extremely fresh and very innovative special rolls. For appetizer try the ribs. One surprise - the yellow submarine roll- odd mix of ingredients - but have shared with many friends and they rave about how good it is.
