OMG! We were looking for a place that had a happy hour until 7:00 on a Wednesday. (It was already 6) I looked online, "Happy Hours until 7 near me" and this was the first hit. It looked cool so we went. The decor is amazing, and Melanie and Michael, were so nice and accommodating. It just so happens, it was the very first day for the happy hour and the happy hour menu. And I can recommend everything on it, both drinks AND food! We ordered the Filet sliders, the Kobe beef meatball sliders, Burrata Caprese, tuna tartare, and a taco. All ridiculous! Went here because everything else on the Memorial Day weekend was jammed packed. The decor is a tad different, maybe even gaudy for some, but I didn't come here for the decor. They have a happy hour, which gives a good sampling of their menu. We sat at the bar and the bartender Michael was very patient and explained every item on the menu my wife questioned. I had 3 of their happy hour dishes and they were all delicious, my wife had the hamburger, and I have to tell you I'm a hamburger connoisseur, she gave me a bite and it was the best I have ever had. We had a reservation at 6 pm , ordered our food at 6:15pm and didn't get our main course until 7:30. The manager blamed it on our lasagna witch he said took 30 minutes to cook. Then, we get the bill with a 20% gratuity plus a 3% swipe fee. I sent the bill back because there were only 5 of us. They removed the gratuity so we could put our own. I will never go there again . My Review of Park Social, Neptune There's a lot of hype about this restaurant that opened in December, so I decided to see what it was all about. I was thrilled to find valet parking because it was a rainy Friday night. When I walked in, I was shocked to see the transformation of the space from the last time I was there. Very chic without being pretentious, and I found it very cozy. Most people were dressed nicely. We live in a very casual area, so it's nice to get dressed every once in a while. We were greeted at the door and walked up to the podium, where the hostess was. The hostess was very pleasant and gave us the option of sitting at the bar or sitting at a high top in the bar. We decided to sit at the bar. One of my pet peeves is an unfriendly bartender; I mean, don't you think a bartender should have some kind of personality? I was pleasantly surprised that our bartender, Mike, was super nice, very informative, knew the menu, knew the drinks, and made a lot of recommendations. We decided to share plates so we could sample a few things. Shortly after we were seated, we were greeted by the manager, Johnny, who introduced himself. I noticed he went around to all the tables and worked the room while we were there. Exactly what a manager should do. They had a DJ in the corner of the bar. We were seated super close, and the manager asked if we wanted to move when he started, and we decided to take our chances. The volume wasn't super loud, so it was fun. I have to say I really enjoyed the music/mix-up selections. I actually took his card. There isn't any room for dancing, so it's just part of the vibe. I would suggest that, at the end of the night, they have the DJ in one of the rooms, clear some of the tables, and make an area for dancing. We ordered wine & had a Death becomes her cocktail that was excellent , cacio e pepe (a ten)tempura lobster and shrimp (if I ordered again, I would ask them for the sauce on the side). The grilled Caesar came with two chicken croquettes and shaved Parmesan--excellent! The Kobe meatball topped with ricotta cheese was good, but I wouldn't order it again. There was one meatball for $18, and I know why--because it was Kobe beef--but you couldnt really tell that it was Kobe beef. It tasted like a really good meatball, but for $18, I will pass next time. I spoke to someone who had the pizza, and they said the angry pizza and the fig pizza were amazing. For dessert, we ordered the donuts and tiramisu. The donuts were served in a bowl with no dipping sauces. I would rather have fewer donuts and have dipping sauces. But when I mentioned to the bartender that it would be great if they had dipping sauces, he came out with a little dish of caramel and chocolate. The tiramisu was delicious. It's so nice having a restaurant of this caliber so close to home. We usually drive to Asbury or Red Bank for upscale dining. All in all, I give the atmosphere and vibe a 10, the food an 8, and the staff a 10. This is not a budget-friendly restaurant, but we have plenty in this area, so I don't see it as an issue. What I loved: I love the vibe of the restaurant, the drinks, and I really loved that they had great mocktails. The drinks, atmosphere, food , and the staff were excellent. The restaurant business is really hard. I hope they make it. I think with some creative ideas on slow days, they can. We will definitely be returning and trying the steak. Start with the few positives. Service was decent and the menu is....interesting. However, the minute you sit down you can't tell if the place is a parody of the cool cringe TikTok fillers and filters scene, or it's just not self aware and it's actually embarrassing. Self affirmations on the walls and menus, "we're girls and all of us are perfect princesses" vibes and food that's faux-fancy to make you feel like you're a big deal but you're simply paying a 50% premium in dim lighting. If you think your self worth is equal to dining at Butcher Block, Birravino, Char and Gabriella's - add this place to your list. I'm sure there's a group of people who buy into this stuff, but it's just eye rolling, average at best over-priced food and a Gucci belt buckle waiting to be noticed. read more

We had the bacon as an appetizer, a filet mignon, a salad that I can't recall the name of but had artichokes in it and was very tasty. We also had the mashed potatoes - delicious. First time we sat at a table and the second time we ate at the bar. This place has a very solid staff. The bartenders are old school professional and the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The maitre d - a guy named John is also very engaging and attentive to the operations of the business. If you want to go back in time when service, quality and atmosphere meant something - this is your place. No gimmicks, no nonsense, no illusions - it's an authentic joint. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I tried this place when it first opened and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back for my friend's 40th. We had a group of 10 , our bill was close to 2k. The food is mediocre, at best. Do yourself a favor, never order the "Farmer's Field" -unless you want to pay $30 for breadcrumbs and slimy mushrooms - picture attached for reference. The next day our server text one of the girls in our party saying that the manager wanted her to contact us so we can "return the picture we stole off the wall." Needless to say- we were shocked. We asked the server why they thought this and they said they have video footage of us taking a picture off the wall. We asked for the footage- but never received it. Shortly thereafter an Instagram reel we had created was shared to their Instagram account and captioned accusing us of stealing the picture! We immediately contacted them asking to take the post down to which they refused. The owners continue say that they have video footage of us but their story has changed numerous times . First they said they had us on video taking the picture then it was that we were hiding the picture under our coats and had the picture in a to-go bag, but have refused to provide any proof. Visited this past Wednesday evening about 7 o'clock. Sat at the bar. Love the atmosphere and the decor... It has a very old vibe and speakeasy feel. Very comfortable. Very romantic. Very cool. The manager JP was very polite and very informative. The bartender Mike does an excellent job! Mike has a pleasant demeanor and is a good conversationalist but most importantly he is an excellent mixologist! Ordered a few things off the menu, including the lobster burrata, the bone marrow with roasted oysters , foie gras and the steak tartar and finished with the pork chop scarpiello. And maybe a few other things lol. Yes I had lots of leftovers which I was happy about. Every meal was excellent! If I had one suggestion, it would be to bring the food out a little slower, but I did order everything together in groups of threes and it came out in groups of threes. Heard about this place and have been excited to try it out. When pulling up it looks like it was a diner. When you enter it's so aesthetically pleasing. Such a sexy and classy vibe on the inside. When we were being sat the hostess told us she had a small table with 3 chairs and asked if it was ok. We appreciated her asking because we ended up moving to a different and larger table with more space. Mike was our server very friendly and knowledgeable. We got an array of drinks. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING! 10 of us went to dinner here for my 40th birthday. We are all working professionals who just wanted a nice night out at a new restaurant. First, I will start by saying that the food is VERY subpar for the price. Be ready to pay a lot of money for something you could get at a diner. The crispy lasagna was good though (I'll give them that). Second, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the next day I got a message via Instagram from our waitress asking me or if my party stole a picture frame from the restaurant and claimed they had video evidence. Immediately I was horrified at the inquiry as myself nor anyone that was with me would ever steal anything, so I quickly replied to her that we would never do anything like that but that I would check with my group to see if anyone knew anything about it. Before I could even get back to her, the restaurant (who has since blocked me and everyone in my party) reposted a video my sister made for my birthday - promoting the restaurant, thanking them and the waitress for the great time. The resturants repost of my sisters video had a caption on it reading "Hi! Please return the frame you guys stole off the wall. That would be so appreciated." Now, I will add that in my sister's video, it includes the "stolen" picture on their wall that had a cute saying on it.. something like "All women need is money and pasta". Certainly not incriminating in any way. Clearly, we all were very upset as that post is defamation of character and slander against a group of ladies who spent 2k and left a very generous tip to the waitress (who most of us have known for a long time). We are all very fortunate to do well enough, we don't need to steal a picture that we could get on Amazon for $8.97 (I looked it up because the owner tried to claim it was very important to his wife because she "thrifted it" I guess Amazon is the new "thrifting" site. I will add that i know this because the owner called me to apologize and said that the "social media manager" was fired immediately after he saw the post go up. I wasn't going to write a review but then seeing that they blocked me on Instagram is very alarming considering he was super apologetic and wanted us to give them another try "on him". We don't need them to buy us dinner, we will NEVER be back there. I'm appalled by the way this was handled. Be ready to be accused of something illegal if you go, clearly, they have common sense over there. read more
