I walked into this dealership today fully prepared to purchase a small RV for an upcoming trip to Florida next week. I had $25,000 in cash ready to complete a deal immediately. I was a serious buyer, ready to do business on the spot. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in, I was completely ignored. No greeting. No acknowledgment. No basic level of professionalism or courtesy. I was treated as if I didn't belong there -- as if my business had no value whatsoever. It was clear that customer service is not a priority at this establishment. The staff projected an attitude that unless you arrive in an expensive luxury vehicle or visibly appear wealthy, you are not worth their time. Instead of earning business, they dismiss it. After waiting and realizing I was not going to be treated with even basic respect, I walked out. I am now taking my $25,000 to another dealership that actually understands how to treat customers and appreciates legitimate buyers. Businesses that behave this way forget a simple fact: every customer matters. Respect costs nothing, but losing customers costs everything. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone looking for professionalism, respect, or even basic courtesy. This was our third RV purchase and we never experienced the type of service provided by Colonial. We toured the facility, seeing the service members, the many bays of repair areas, and the finance folks. Bobby was our sales rep. and he was very informative & accommodating. Paul did our vehicle walk-through, providing all the information needed and. Heather did the closing paperwork and could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Colonial provides good, old fashion customer service with a smile. Why go anywhere else, with pushy salesman, conniving financial folks and dirty facilities. We had a very disappointing service experience with Colonial Airstream today. One year ago we purchased a new Airstream Interstate Motor Home. We paid the sticker price, with no complaints. We live in Arizona, but spend our summers at the Jersey shore. When we arrived in NJ, in June, we called for an appointment for two minor repairs under warranty. We explained the problems in detail and sent pictures. The first appointment they had was supposedly more than two months out. They assured us the parts necessary for the repairs were in stock. Today we were there prior to our 8:30 am appointment. In spite of being fist in line, the service writer took two customers ahead of us, and it was 9:30 before we even got checked in for a two hour appointment. We had also asked them to change the oil in the coach and generator and perform the annual service on both. When my wife asked the service writer if they checked and topped off the other fluids, she responded, laughing at us and saying: "No, we don't do that!" Four hours later, the service writer told us that the oil change was done, but they didn't have the parts for second warranty repair, but she would check with the parts department to see how log it would take to get them. We walked around the coach and discovered another part that had been broken during the repair and oil change. Although she did not make us aware of the broken part, she immediately acknowledged they would fix that as well at no cost, but said they would have to order that part as well. An hour later, she still had not checked with parts as to how long it would take to get the missing parts. Finally, after talking to her supervisor, Colonial agreed to send us the repair parts so we could then schedule the warranty repairs with a different facility in Arizona since getting the parts would take at least 60 days. The bill for the two oil changes: over $600! Outrageous. And, the service writer was rude and dismissive during our entire encounter. I realize that service is not very important to many businesses today, but if you choose to deal with Colonial Airstream, be prepared for a less than enjoyable experience. Had an appointment with Patrick at 10am to view an airstream. He completely dismissed my husband and I. He didn't not even say hello. He opened one RV door and disappeared. I called the business and asked the secretary to have him come back outside. We had questions about the nest and wanted to see more options in our price range. Let's face it: RV manufacturers are not ashamed to ship crap units with crap components for the past few years. I bought my brand new Winnebago diesel Class A from Colonial after getting a generous trade in from them on my Mercedes Class C. The sales process went well (props to Bobby). From there however, things went downhill. Although the pre-delivery inspection went well and everything looked good, over our next few trips the real crap quality of our beautiful coach came shining through. Burst leveler hoses from rubbing on the drive shaft, moulding falling off (staples, yes staples used in construction), failed AC unit, failed convection/microwave, compartment doors flying open, shades falling off, awnings coming detached from the sidewall... just to name the big issues. Fortunately my coach came with a 3-year bumper to bumper factory warranty and Anthony & the Colonial techs did a great job on all repairs. My big slide just failed (only a matter of time with any slide out on any manufacturer's unit these days) 2 days before a 2 month retirement trip. Guess what? Anthony & Co came through with both a replacement motor AND made time on their crazy busy service schedule to fit me in and replace the failed motor. Amazing, unparalleled service, and they saved my big trip. If you're contemplating buying a new unit, I'm warning you: pick a different hobby instead. Or buy a tent, or an Airstream anything (conveniently available at Colonial!) If you still want to get into RVing, you must see the team at Colonial. Highly recommended. I purchased a 19 ft 2020 Airstream Bambi about 8 or 9 months ago from Colonial. On the second trip we took it cross country. Along the way we realized the hooks on the awning that secure it while driving completely fell off. I contacted Colonial about the issue and told them I would use Coach Net to repair the issue. They said if I used Coach Net (the roadside assistance service) they would only reimburse me for parts and not labor. They recommended I take the Airstream to a dealership. We were in Big Bend National Park and the nearest dealer was in Dallas, several hours away and not along the route of our trip. We took their advice and attemped to drive to Dallas. However as one might expect, during the drive the awning began to open up during high winds. We pulled over on the side of the highway and I put my wife on my shoulders as she ziptied the awning to the the camper. I'm shocked that the service department and sales department would tell me to take the camper to a dealership on this condition as opposed to using road side assistance. I'm even more shocked that Colonial would not reimburse the labor cost of repairing the airstream on the road in the event that I used roadside assistance. What is the purpose of having a warranty if you're only going to cover the parts? The part I needed to secure the awning is probably only a few dollars (just a hook and a screw with a washer. Also, on this trip, the refrigerator stopped getting cold, the toilet leaked water at the flange, and screws in the bathroom door are coming out causing the door to misalign. Prior to the trip, the main door on the camper stopped lining up with the latch and would not secure properly. The hinge was slightly loose as a result of a stripped screw that was left inplace. All of this has been documented and photographed. I'm so discouraged with Colonial Airstream..I strongly recommend either purchasing somewhere else, unless you are prepared for a host of uncovered problems from a dealership that cares about nothing except the initial sale. So I had purchased a 2022' Solis 59P from Colonial Airstream Rte 33 E. Millstone NJ & recd delivery 10-21'. It was disclosed that the chassis portion a brand new "021' RAM Promaster" would be covered by any Dodge/Ram dealer. Makes sense. But recently the Radio Head unit display going blank which is part of the Dodge Ram chassis. Freehold Dodge (rt 9S) Ram's service dept stated they would not cover a Mfg warranty & a scheduled visit would incur a diagnostic labor charge as well as any other parts & labor to correct the problem Fri Nov 19th 2021. This is a Classic case of pushing the consumer back & forth until the warranty runs out and they turn them upside down to empty their pockets. These type of situations are vehemently frowned upon and covered by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty act. We bought a brand new rig from this dealership. When we picked up our "brand new" unit... it was filthy. Windows weren't washed, crumbs on the floor and cushions - You know all the things one could get over. But the bathroom is where it takes another turn...the shower had clearly been used. Hairs, pubes, scum ...on the toilet, in the toilet, in the shower drain. It was absolutely disgusting. It wasn't just A hair casually falling off either... it was full on stubble and HAIRS. The GM denied it & tried to suggest I was being unreasonable (for not liking the fact that someone clearly showered in our new rig). Before he even saw our bathroom/ shower he insisted it wasn't hair. I said " Oh it's hair... come out and let me show you" After showing him what was no doubt hairs, he later said "Well let me go pick at your trades" I reminded him our trades are USED this is NEW and we PAID for NEW. If it was a used unit I can see being a little more tolerable, but it wasn't. The GM tried to blame everyone else (the cleaning company, us ) and didn't simply take responsibility. I was shocked. My guess is someone took our rig on a camping trip and when they got back to the shop someone had the wrong rig detailed or maybe they honestly thought they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I don't know. I get things happen, but someone using a customer's new RV? all that hair in the shower? AND they couldn't even make sure it was cleaned properly before we got there to notice? Then they tell me I'm being picky? Wow. Had our time frame been different, I would have absolutely backed out of the deal if we were able. The GM did offer to have the cleaners go over the inside "again" but I refused. If these guys cleaned it in the first place and it's filthy, why would I want to waste my time and have them clean it again? I always clean things myself anyway but the hairs, pubes, and stubble in the bathroom of our new unit was unacceptable. I did end up having the cleaner go over the bathroom/shower to wipe that stuff off , then I put my gloves on and got the Clorox wipes out and cleaned it myself. Bobby our sales guy was great and did his job well responding to emails, phone calls, questions, etc. Laura and Bobby also helped expedite the titles in a timely manner after the deal was done, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I don't think Bobby make the calls or has any say in the service department or how the GM handles difficult situations. Pushing the papers to make the deal happen wasn't an issue. They were timely and responsive in making the deal ( money). The issue was and is 1.) the condition our new unit was in upon delivery 2.) how the GM handled the situation 3.) the service department. Manufacturers typically want you to go to the dealership you purchase from for warranty work. We had some issues we needed addressed, so we had to go back for service shortly after. This is when their service tech gifted us with 3 new dents on our roof while fixing the shower vent that was leaking. Now we have dents to get repaired too. As easy as I'm hoping that it will be to fix, it is still another thing we have to take time out of our lives to deal with. It was negligent and avoidable. We also called ahead of time to schedule a date and told the service coordinator we would be rearranging our schedule with family and driving 7 hours to make the earliest appointment. I asked before confirming the appointment if we would be able to address all the issues we had listed. He assured us that they wouldn't let us leave without getting everything completed (outside of parts needing to be ordered) even if it took days. So we prepared to stay in the area for a week thinking the trip would be worth it if everything was address (at least the more important issues). When we arrived to get the work done it was "Oh yeah, we only have today and you'll have to come back in over two weeks to get the rest done. " I would have really appreciated a call to inform me plans had changed and they would only be able to work on our unit that day. I would have cancelled the appointment and stayed with my father in law who was having health issues. When we found out the news we were very frustrated but remained flexible and hoped the tech would be productive. After waiting 8 hours we found out only a few minor issues were worked (not even completely resolved). I was just too tired, disappointed, and upset to argue with anyone. ..& then there was the dents. I was done. I will never go back to Colonial or recommend them to anyone. We have since taken our rig to Crowley in Bristol, CT and have had a great experience. Night and day. I would recommend going through them if you are on the east coast looking to buy or have service done. I'm disappointed with Colonial Airstream. We really wanted to buy from them, mainly because they are local. We reached a deal with the salesman and everything was pretty much smooth sailing, until a competitor came in $5,000.00 cheaper for the same trailer (there was a difference in the microwave/oven configuration). We asked the salesman if he could make a comparison between the two trailers and explained that we still wanted to buy from Colonial but could not ignore a $5,000.00 difference. In return, I got a nasty email back from the salesman and was scolded for "being given plenty of time for due diligence", his words exactly. As I write this, I'm currently serving in Afghanistan in the military and sometimes it's been a challenge to keep in touch with my spouse, but I think we handled this transaction pretty well. Regardless, I didn't need the admonishment from a salesman when I have a valid question and I came to him with a real written offer from another competitor. We spoke with the Manager who agreed to return our deposit, and we did get it back, but we tried really hard on our part to keep this deal together and asked for a reason to stay with Colonial. We were told that someone else would buy the trailer anyway. So, Colonial was clearly not interested in winning business and it's all for the better anyway, because they have proven to me that once we would have pulled that trailer off the lot we would have been forgotten. read more

I just want to give two thumbs up to Colonial Airstream. My wife and I purchased our first RV... really a large Sprinter van Interstate Grand Tour Ext. We picked it up in March of this year during Covid-19. We had to pick it up without any real lessons due to the restrictions at the time. We came home and scheduled a facetime walkthrough with the service department. The walkthrough was informative and very helpful to get us on our way. Our salesman, Patrick was great on the day we came in to order our Interstate. He spent time with us, didn't rush us, and we took an Interstate out for a test drive while he explained everything to us. He worked a fair deal with us and we ordered the Interstate right on the spot. Bottom line...Patrick was great! Next - after getting the RV and going away, we had a few questions and concerns along the way. I emailed Patrick with concerns and he answered me back every single time within minutes! Truly unbelievable. What salesman does that after the sale? Then, after he gets me comfortable with the service department, I had other issues. My wife and I made a mistake and let the batteries run down, as well as other mistakes that we made along the way. I emailed directly to the service department numerous times while on our road trip, and every single time the service department emailed me and called me to walk me through things to do to solve the issues we were having. We often heard from Conner in the service department and the guy was incredible. I keep hearing and reading about nightmare situations at RV dealerships, but honestly, I can not say enough great things about Colonial's sales department and service department. Colonial is as good as it gets. I was absolutely amazed at how there was no pressure sales going on when we visited. Even more pleasantly surprised by the lack of having to negotiate for everything. We visited during an open house and saw the very Airstream we wanted and bought it on the spot. Patrick Botticelli helped us through every step of the way including our paperwork for being out of state buyers, and helping us decide what stabilization to get for the hitch. We picked up the Airstream this past Monday in a rainstorm and the they had filled the propane tanks the water tanks and gave us a full intro the the camper features and a tutorial on the sway bars and hitch system. We got to our campground at Cape May and after two days of perfect camping, our hot water heater stopped working. Patrick and the team at Colonial helped troubleshoot the issue over email and the phone and got me a part the very next day. I swapped it in and we are back up and running. The dealership was really nice to work with and they have a nice clean area for customers and a nice shop for parts and accessories. Service is everything and the service at this place is outrageously terrible. months on end waiting to get a service appointment. parts never in on time they hold your vehicle for weeks on end. These folks are truly "Top Shelf" Roadtrek RV service providers. I ordered some parts from my home state through Scott and asked them to be held for pick up since we were coming up to visit family in the area. Bigger than Dallas, upon our arrival the parts were ready to go at the parts counter. Unfortunately I was not able meet Scott as he was in training, but his coworker John was equally as helpful. The entire parts department was AWESOME! Other Roadtrek dealers would be well served to see how Colonial RV operates and treats customers fairly and with respect! I hope I never have to call them again, but if I need parts for my Roadtrek it is very comforting to know that there is a dealer that is ready, willing and able to provide the required support. Never ever do business with this company. Bought an RV from them and the GM lied about it and its condition. Sat in the Hurricane for the 10 days and he lied said there was not damage. Rust every place. Dishonest is what I would say about him. When we picked the RV up it was not in clean shape. Had various damage to it. Our fault for not inspecting it closely. But a cheater always finds a way to beat people out of their money. Karma will find its way with him. I Can't say anything bad about the other employees as I have no info. But the GM is a scammer. Purchased a used Tab Rv in January. It sat covered all winter until we decided to camp in beginning of June. We Also purchased extra insurance for repairs if needed. First trip out our water line was leaking. Poured out the bottom of camper. Also our holding tank leaked. Called to schedule an appointment. Was told first one available was August 19th at 9 am. Mind you we live out of state. Drove 2 hours there to be told drop your rv here. Tom may get back to you in around 2 weeks when they can look at it. Probably won't get it back until middle of Sept. Then the guy taking our info asked well do you have any camping planned. What do you think I bought the camper for. I am really disappointed with them. I was never told anything when I scheduled initial appointment in June. I've already waited over two months for the appointment. I have to wait more? How to begin? The men in the service department are stretched to the max helping the multitude of customers coming and going. They are always on the phone and we always have to wait no less than ten minutes ( I am being kind) to be helped. Our 2015 airstream trailer has a leak in the shower due to faulty installation and black mold is growing behind the wood panel. This is covered under the warranty. We brought her in for the scheduled appt after calling multiple times to confirm the replacement panel was in. Photos of the damage were emailed because we were in GA. We got there with trailer in tow and were told the repair person was out for at least eight weeks for an injury. We told them multiple times prior to arriving that we live in our trailer. We are not able to leave it for eight or more weeks. We brought the trailer back when we were told the work could be done. They had it for two weeks. We picked it up yesterday and they had replaced the bathroom door but they did nothing to the shower!!! I believe they must have pulled an old work ticket to fix the gap in the bathroom door from last year. Major mistakes happen when people are stretched too thin and there is no accountability or follow up on jobs. We are on our way west for a job we need to be at. Not sure what to do next. It will be about a year before we get back to the east coast. Burt from the service department was apologetic and said they would absolutely do the work whenever we get back there. Not sure how I am feeling but it definitely is not five stars. This place is not easy to get to or to pull in and out of with the trailer. read more

I'd like to start off by saying I very rarely write reviews, or take time out of my day to "complain" about anything, however, people need to know what they are getting themselves into when they deal with Colonial Airstream/RV. We saw a used Fleetwood RV that we wanted and Colonial was the only dealership to have it in the area, so we set up an appointment with Bobby to see it. The pictures matched what we expected and we told him we would have to check out other models and get back to him. Bobby followed up with us a week later and we still did hadn't made our decision. Lucky for us, Colonial dropped the price by about $4k, so that's when we went back and put a deposit on the RV. We are first time RV owners and we inquired about adding solar panels to the RV so we could "live off the grid". Bobby said that they would be able to install the panels for us, and in order to live off the gird for about 10 days we would need TWO solar panels. He gave us the price and we figured why not have it done by them so we know it was done correctly & we will have a warranty if anything goes wrong. We gave Bobby the go ahead to install the two panels and a back up camera. When we went to pick up the RV, Kevin walked us through the RV and all it's features and advised us that the solar panels only work on the LIGHTS, not the appliances or outlets. I was furious because of the misinformation Bobby provided. Any person who says they want to "live off the grid" understands what they are trying to accomplish. When we approached Bobby regarding this, his response was "that question was never asked" so because my husband didn't SPECIFICALLY ask if the solar panels work on appliances, Bobby decided that he would pull a fast one and take advantage of an additional sale. Rather than being an honest person knowing what we wanted to achieve and telling us that the solar panels will not help, he knowingly took advantage and we ended up spending a good amount of money on solar panels that are essentially useless. To top it off, Bobby advised that the RV would be DETAILED inside and outside prior to us arriving to pick it up. There was a sticker on the back that we had asked to be removed and when we arrived, the sticker was still on it. We proceeded to check out the inside and while Kevin was walking us around, I noticed the stain on the ceiling tile was still there, the bathroom had fingerprints all over the mirrors and shower door, the antifreeze was still in the shower from when we first saw it, a smear on the microwave, coffee stains on the table, and more. THEY DIDN'T TOUCH IT. Kevin brings us outside to show us how the awning works and that's when I said Bobby told us this was supposed to be power-washed and detailed inside and out. Kevin said they can bring it over to their shop and have it cleaned. We waited another HOUR for it to be cleaned, and still when we received it, wasn't spotless.This was supposed to be taken care of prior to us arriving, it completely wasted our time. Once we got it back to our house, my husband went inside and started cleaning it again, and what do you know - the stain from the ceiling is gone! It's magic! I think these guys are persistent to make a sale but when they get you, they don't pay any mind to you as a customer. Bobby handled the situation very unprofessionally and I would encourage others to look elsewhere for their Airstream/RV needs and not bring their business to Colonial. He is a sleazy salesperson and I am sorry I ever gave them my money. read more
