Cars2Sell, East Windsor NJ - Where "Free and Clear" Apparently Means "We Have No Idea"…read moreIf you enjoy long games of phone tag, expired temp tags, and mystery paperwork that vanishes into the ether, you'll love Cars2Sell in East Windsor. My mother & I paid cash on August 20, 2024 for an As-IS Used Vehicle... Every document said the title was "free and clear." Spoiler: it wasn't. Nearly two months later, after endless holds, "meetings," and contradictory stories, we learned there was actually a lien on the car -- something the manager admitted on video a month after he signed said papers. When title was ready to picked up two months later He continued to say "he didn't know about it" Cue round two of expired tags, overnight mail fees, and a trip to the DMV so frustrating that even they suggested we bring the police. The officer told the manager he had 48 hours to get the title. That was October 13. It finally appeared on October 18, conveniently notarized on October 8--meaning it had been sitting somewhere for days while we were still being strung along. Turns out it was at their Hillside location all along. Funny, since I called Hillside, after my 1st paper tag was about to expire and I was told, "We can't help you, it's at East Windsor." When my mom finally picked up the title, the manager actually asked her to have my sister remove her negative review. That says it all. Yes, I bought the car as-is. I didn't realize that also meant good luck in getting a title without threatening a lawsuit for Breach of Contract So if you're thinking about buying from Cars2Sell, bring a camera, a lawyer, and a saint's level of patience. Because once they've got your money, you'll need all three.

The team did not get the car out of the back of the lot stuffed behind other cars, they didn't care to clean the inside or out as it's been sitting and dirty (I'll add photos). The battery was dead, the sales rep was entertaining other customers during my visit. I asked prior to coming what mods have been done to this car. They said the only mod was the rims. That in fact was not the only mod when I got there, the exhaust was done and some intake work and I'm sure some other stuff if I cared to look harder. In addition, every time I talked to a rep over the phone it was frustrating as they made me repeat myself several times. The only person in that whole place who seemed decent was Anton. Unfortunately he has to leave when I was there. This place was red flag after red flag.

Once they finally gave in and gave me the price breakdown, it had a whopping $7500 dollars worth of excess fees that didn't even include registration, taxes, and tags. The most outrageous fee was $1800 non finance fee since I was be bringing a check instead of financing through them. VERY SKETCHY DEALERSHIP AND SALE-MAN!!!

They have held my refundable deposit and kept in touch with me to stay in touch which makes me even more positioned to buy this vehicle from Exem. I am a skeptic of buy here pay here places but this one has seemed to be a positive and pleasant place to work with. I have not felt forced to buy quickly nor have they tore into me about the remaining deposit (just inquired) and thats professionalism at its finest to me. I buy my cars straight out cash from owners and don't mind fixing them up if need be, but exem has me locked in especially as they do have nice vehicles again imo. Check em out. This is not a paid advertisement lol, it's just someone happy putting in their two cents.

Ok so, we had our kids drive to our house so we all could drive to this place to see about a van we…read moresaw and was interested in. total drive time for us all was 5 hours round trip time. Our original plan was to get a car for $2000. On the phone we were assured they had this van for the price we wanted and they also confirmed if we did NOT like that van they have 80 more! Their words not mine. We get there and as soon as we get out the car the guy sees us and goes "oh yeah you're here for the van! shoot, you don't want that van! I got another one here for you tho. it's 14,15".... I say 14, 15 what? he says 14, 15,000. WHAT!! Then he says that van needs to be towed outta here it needs an engine. The person you spoke to just answers our phones remotely and doesn't have all the information. Well sir, if that IS true it isn't working because thats information needed BEFORE we take a 5 hour drive! I do NOT recommend this place. If you get something like that THAT wrong you shouldn't have clients.
