Initially brought my daughter there for a new pair of glasses. After she decided on her pair we sat…read moredown with an associate to determine her bi focal width and we basically told the associate that we wanted it to be placed at the same width as her glasses she had on. For some reason the associate didn't think that line was appropriate ( it s been that way for almost 10 years) and decided to adjust the line to a higher width. After about a week from receiving her glasses my daughter complained of headaches and that she was having trouble seeing clearly so we figured it was because of the bifocal width and took them back . When we took them back the associate (who I found out was the GM of the store was very defensive and rude when I tried to explain the issue and how we felt it should be corrected. She even let out a loud huff as I was talking as if we were a problem for her to assist us. The other issue I have , and it wasn't just me who felt this way was that the associate who sits at the counter greeting and assisting customers when you walk in also seemed to have an ongoing attitude and the was very unsanitary as she walked out (after asking numerous customers if they had light) and preceded to just step outside the door to smoke but the disturbing part was that when she came back in never even washed her hands or used hand sanitizer! Fast forward to today 06/27/26 1100, my two daughters and stopped by to pick up the glasses and I purposely stayed in the car. When my daughters came out with the adjusted glasses they mentioned how rude that this same lady that sits at the front counter was! I spent $255 out of pocket for glasses to be made to feel like we were a "bother" to some of the staff there. This location Probably needs a purge of some of these staff members as they have no clue of what customer service means. And where their salaries derive from. I'm also going to reach out to corporate as well

My kiddo had an appointment here and the good part is that we had a red-haired gentleman technician…read morewho did the puff-of-air eye test, and a technician named Leslie who were both fantastic. They were both friendly and helpful and wonderful. Unfortunately, pretty much everything else was very disappointing. We walked in and there was a young mother there with one child getting an eye exam, and another one who was on the spectrum. As my kiddo and I were getting checked in, the lady at the desk continues her conversation with the others about how the mother needs to manage her child, and how she wants to punch the child but she knows she would go to jail. As a customer, I was disgusted that she would be bad mouthing another customer in front of us. As the mother of another autistic child, I found it DEPLORABLE that she was expressing her desire to assault a handicapped 6 year old. I KNOW that she was not going to follow through and was just venting, but trashing a handicapped child is just low. And I will also add that a whole lot of the problem could have been... moved along... if their new eye exam system weren't such a mess. They have transitioned in the year since we were there last, to an online appointment. The in-house tech does what she does, and then you wait FOREVER for a doctor to initiate a FaceTime call to do the exam. Our appointment took 1 hour and 50 minutes, and the majority of that was spent waiting for the call. Instead of opting for high-end equipment for remote eye exams, maybe hire a doctor to actually show up and move the line along? I also have to say that it is somewhat annoying that their pricing is really a mess. Huge signs everywhere: "Two pairs of glasses with eye exams, $89.99!" And the fine print is that the $79.99 frames are what is included, you pay more for higher-priced frames. So we picked out two pairs of $79.99 frames, but apparently that is the BLUE $79.99 frames, the GREEN $79.99 frames would be $150, so if you get a green pair and a blue pair of $80 frames, it costs $130ish... confused? Yes, me too. But I would be able to deal with the slow wait times, and the weird pricing, but the unprofessional threats about someone barely in elementary school absolutely turned my stomach.

I'm blessing this review with 3 stars out of pure kindness. It took me three full days of playing…read morephone tag with the receptionist before I realized I will do my business elsewhere. Last year I bought my contacts from Walmart after having an eye exam at a Walmart in a different city. Apparently the locations are not all affiliated so my contact prescription had to be faxed over-cool , not too bad. This year, i figured I would get my eyes checked here since my info/insurance was still on file . Big mistake!! The first time I called around 2pm the eye doctor was off for the day ... so I called bright n early the next day only to be told the location where I purchased my glasses and contact are in no way connected to the actual eye exam department!! What in the world! So the eye doctor didn't have my insurance on file .. just the ppl who sold me my contacts. Now, if you have ever been in Walmart you know that the two departments are literally walking distance from each other. I had to explain to the receptionist over the phone in the exam department that she can call the other department and easily see my insurance plan ...this is still day two. She told me she would check and call me back. Day 3- I get a call from the woman around 4pm telling me that she found my insurance but I would have to pay out of pocket for my contacts and $35 for the eye exam. I eventually realized that Walmart did not accept my insurance but the way the lady worded it was in a way that one would think the cost I was supposed to pay was after my insurance was applied. I'm not sure if it was her lack of communication or simply the companies way of manipulating the information they give to get customers but I was royalty pissed. Moral of the story call your insurance to get a list of locations that except your plan completely so you don't get played.

I went to front desk to ask about specific brand, got a hand wave indicating the back of the store with absolutely no follow up. I had previously visited For Eyes, Eyemart Express, Sam's Club, and even Walmart where I was greeted and offered help. Needless to say, I left ,never to return. Too many young people in charge of this store, all about themselves and totally unconcerned for their customers. This review is for America's Best not Walmart!
