Guy at counter was gruff at 1st but had quirky sense of humor as he comes around frequently checking on you & cracking jokes. Rustic feel w/ old antique decor & lotsa wood. Good classic music too. Hot food came out fast - just as salads were done. Mac & cheese pizza - daughter loved. My BBQ chicken pizza was pretty good. Lotsa toppings. Listen we're from Jersey, so the standard for pizza is pretty high. However, it got the job done. Flavor was good, crust was nice. But... it was the bbq chicken pizza that stole my heart. Mmmmmm! Classic small town pizza place. The staff are friendly and helpful. Pizza is always delicious!

Finally got a chance to stop in and get pizza a few weeks ago. The other two time we stopped, the place was packed, and so busy we were too busy to wait. Pizza is worth the drive to Cedarville, dough is chewy and had a good bit. I was disappointed with the antipasta salad, I would like a little more meat, cheese on it, and a nicer visual presentation (check out my review of Venecia Italian restaurant) We will defiantly come back, and we have learned to order ahead, and they will likely be packed or busy most of the time. read more

First time here and found almost everything we tried was good. We arrived before it got crazy with dine in and carry out. We tried the pizza, two different subs, potato skins and mozzarella sticks. The pizza is a hand tossed crust with great flavor, the sauce is a sweet sauce. We have been long time customers. Colonial is expensive so we do not order often. We just ordered this evening to support a fundraising event. We got an 18" BLT pizza. It was inedible. It tasted like bacon bits piled on crust. The bacon bits were held together with cheese and kept falling off of the crust. There was way too much "bacon" on it and it was teeny tiny crumbles. I'm positive it was bacon bits or bacon cooked in bulk one day a week, chopped up and refrigerated. $30 bucks down the drain because we couldn't even chew it! Colonial used to have nice large chunks of bacon on the pizza- not teeny crumbles of dry unchewable bits. Good pizza. I could have ordered better, perhaps. We ordered 2 large pizzas, One more traditional and one without meat and low dairy. The regular pizza was as expected. Eaten quickly by teens. The veggie pizza was unremarkable... now... maybe I should have tried harder to find out if there were other veggies I could have added... like banana peppers or jalapeño peppers, more bell peppers or whatever, but as is, it was a bit boring. But- that may have been my fault! My recommendation- give it a try! But if you want a veggie pizza- try to see what additional veggies you can add to flavor it up. As for advice to the business, I would suggest to try hard to feed your plant based customers well- lots of veggies on veggie pizza- because those plant based eaters might be the mom who pays the bill. This place is a hidden gem. The food is great! The wings are one of the best around. The pizza is amazing. My only complaint is that they have done away with their online ordering. They updated their menu with new pricing and the online ordering went away. Online ordering capabilities are essential and critical in todays market. They could be making so much more money. We stopped by on a trip through town. The restaurant was very cozy inside. It was Friday night and the phone was ringing off the hook for carry out orders. The daily special was a one topping 18 inch pizza and a basket of cheese covered breadsticks. The breadsticks came out really fast and they were delicious. The pizza came out just as we finished the breadsticks, so perfect timing. The pizza was huge and our family of four could only eat half of it! Nice decorated walls with laminated newspapers from decades ago, tv show posters, arts, etc. even the restroom was pretty cozy and decorated with art. Not much to choose from when visiting this part of Ohio but Colonial Pizza was a "college campus" suggestion. The place was a bit divey which lead me to believe that this pizza just my have a shot with me. Nothing really special about the Franks Red Hot chicken wings but those garlic Parmesan wings was on point the thin crust sausage and pep had just the right amount of sauce and the garlic butter that I slathered on the pizza crust and cheese bread was delicious. The steak sandwich was decent but that chicken bacon tach sandwich was slamming. We placed an online order for pickup, two pizza's, one pepperoni and one chicken alfredo pizza, and an Asian salad. When we came in to pick it up, we were accused by the manager of having beer in our coffee cups and questioned several times about it while we waited to pick up our order. Then we received food that was not made as expected. The website states that the chicken alfredo pizza comes with chicken, Alfredo sauce, bacon, onions, and cheese, but our pizza only had chicken, cheese, and sauce. The website also states that the Asian salad comes with spring mix, red cabbage, craisins, almonds, rice noodles, chicken and Asian dressing. Our salad was made with iceberg lettuce instead of spring mix and came with raspberry dressing instead of Asian dressing. Since we were visiting from out of town, there was no way to have our order corrected. But when we called in to let them know our order was wrong, we were met with a rude response from the owners son that our order wasn't made incorrectly, but that the website was incorrect and they apparently are not responsible for what their website says. I ordered the Margherita pizza. Barely any cheese and way to much tomato. The bottom crust was still raw. With the COVID rules, they lock you out the back patio so you can't go back in the back door. If we're talking best pizza in town, Colonial's the place. It's also the only place. They have solid pizza and sub's. The menu has a lot of good choices and they have good hours. If you're looking for a good place to eat for dinner, colonial is a solid choice. It's not the delicous thin crust east coast pizza I've become accustomed to, but for an Ohio pizza joint it's not bad. They also have Pepsi, which we all know is the inferior cola. We ordered a pizza and they charged our card aNd told us it would be ready at 6:45. We called them at 7:00 and told them our pizza was no where to be found. They said it would be 10 mins bc the delivery guy just left and our pizza was supposed to be delivered first. They called us back at 7:25 and told us that they couldn't find our order, even though our card had been charged and they put us on hold to talk to the manager. After several minutes of waiting, they transferred me to the wrong person and we had to wait some more. They then said that we could reorder and repay for our order.
