I've given Tuscany's in Centerville a couple of tries now, and I've been less than impressed on both visits. On my first visit, I ordered a cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, and the Trio Delight pasta. When I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn't ready, so I had to sit around and wait for a bit. The cheese pizza was very forgettable. I was expecting an excellent wood fired char, and that's not what I got at all. I'm guessing they just use stock photos on their website, which sucks, because that pizza looks great! The pasta was okay. It was better after I reheated the leftovers in the oven. Second visit, I ordered the cheese pizza again, and the bruschetta appetizer. As I said before, the pizza was definitely forgettable. I quite literally forgot that I had even had it before, and I would not have ordered it again had I remembered. The bruschetta... LOADED in onions. I put the leftovers in my fridge, and my fridge and freezer still reek, and I've been breathing fire ever since I ate it. Too many onions, and not nearly enough basil. I would not get the bruschetta again. The pizza and pasta wasn't bad, but I wanted it to be SO much better. Ate here for the first time tonight with a group we had a meeting. I had read the reviews and went with the trio delight. Stuffed shell, cheese ravioli and their chicken parm. I added a sausage as I was told they make them in house. What an amazingly good meal. The chicken parm was one of the best I have had in a very long time. I'm a snob about sauce and usually prefer my own. The marinara was very fresh tasting with a nice balance of flavors and little chunky. The ravioli was well seasoned and quite tasty. The sausage had a nice balance of flavors. The stuffed shell was fine but I would not have missed it. The owner/ a manger was taking scare of us and was very friendly and helpful. The place had a fun feel but it was not busy, it was a Tuesday but I would expect more business. If you are curious I recommend giving them a try I know I will bring my wife back soon read more

This little gem is tucked away in a quiet shopping center. I definitely would not have found them if I hadn't been searching for some good Italian cuisine to try near me (that wasn't a chain restaurant). They had some great yelp reviews so I thought we'd give it a try. Walking in we were greeted by the very friendly hostess/waitress. They weren't crowded and we were able to get a table right away. I immediately liked the cozy decor. There were large lights strung on the ceiling, cool wood paneling, and cute mismatched tables and chairs. Our seat by the window was perfect. While we didn't partake, the wine list was nice. They offer a homemade sangria, which I will definitely have to try next time. Our order was taken pretty promptly and we got our salads with homemade Italian dressing right away. I liked the dressing. It was tasty but it was VERY heavy with Oregano. It would also have been nice to have some bread or crackers with the salads. Our orders soon came out...I got the trio and my companion got the 4 pasta meal. The entrees both came out hot and slathered in a yummy layer of baked mozzarella. My trio had chicken parm, ravioli, and a stuffed shell, if a remember correctly. It was a lot of food and I ended up taking home some leftovers. I was also able to taste the lasagna in the 4 pasta meal. Everything was very good. However...again...LOTS of oregano was used. We also tried the limoncello cake and cannoli. The waitress told us a local bakery makes their desserts. Both were yummy! The restaurant got a little steadier as the evening went on. There were also takeout orders going in and out. As it is a small place, it seemed there were only our waitress and one other running food in and out. So patience is a must! We got a glimpse of their pizza and looked amazing. We will be back to try that pizza for sure! read more

Amazing food and you know as soon as you walk in the door. You immediately smell nothing but goodness. The marinara alone is worth the trip. We have been 3 times now and already I am thinking about our next visit. The place is the perfect cozy size, with plenty of parking, easy to find, booth and table options available. The lady and gentlemen working was so nice and attentive our drinks were never low The lasagna actually has a layer or meat and not just meat in the sauce which we love. Good size space on the bar side and seating side. Everyone thing is fresh. The deluxe pizza was unusual in that the sauce was mild. After several bites I could taste the vegetables not cloaked by a spicy Italian sauce. The homemade crust tasted like that of crab Rangoon in a good way. The large size made for great leftovers. Ended up being the only guests there late on a Sunday evening. So, needless to say the service was excellent. Food was hot and plentiful and the selections were good. The chairs were a mix of styles and eclectic, however they were uncomfortable. They had a good choice of wines, I went with a Chianti and my wife had a Merlot. We would definitely return. read more

Always have liked the food in Tuscany's. Their Chicken Parm is truly among the best in town like their sister restaurants. I had that tonight and it was good. However, at 7:45 on a Saturday, I was the only customer in the restaurant. One of the reasons, I believe, is that it was so hot in there. It was 82° outside when I went and it was at least that hot or hotter. My food arrived hot from the oven and it was delicious. However, eating really hot food in a hot restaurant was not really pleasant. I said something to the server when I was paying my bill and asked if their a/c was broken. She acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. I still gave her a nice tip but for $41 total, I won't sit there and be uncomfortable again. Shame because i do enjoy their food! read more

Cute little mom-and-pop rustic Italian decor, kind staff and DELiCIOUS classical red sauce Italian. It's a fake Italian restaurant- went here tonight with the wife who had a salad with chicken- charged us $26.00 ridiculous as the chicken was 1/4" thick and overcooked - terrible- I had chicken Parmesan 21.00 and our grandson had penne with Alfredo sauce - small portion 21.00. - here is the best part we all drank water- the place had no Italian theme - all the workers were sitting outside when we arrived at 5 pm , should have been a sign but I figured hey I'm Italian let's try it. What a joke- servers were three ladies spoke broken English and it wasn't Italian?? If you get my point. The terrible salad was the most expensive thing and when I asked to see it on the menu Girl told us it wasn't on the menu but in their system !!!! What !!!!!! Been here a couple times since "the change" and it still feels like the transition from carry out to Italian restaurant is incomplete. Tonight we were surprised with the addition of the bar. That was new to us. We ordered the Stags Leap Cabernet right from the list and the OWNER had no clue what I was ordering. They finally found it but it tasted like it had sat on that shelf in the sun for quite some time. It's a great wine, if you store it properly. We decided to order a pizza and split the pasta trio. I asked for the 10in pizza that was offered on my menu. She snapped at me "only 14 my friend!" . I showed her my menu and she said "wrong menu, only 14". I didn't get myself the menu but whatever. A guy came in 15 minutes after us and sat at the bar. His food came out before ours. Ours took forever. I'm not sure why. We didn't order anything more complicated than his. The pasta Trio was always a favorite at Troni's. It was good here too. The sauce is amazing. The garlic knots were dry, no butter or garlic. That was a huge miss compared to what we were used to at Troni's. The pizza crust was really good and crispy. We got the Tuscany. The Olive oil almost tasted rancid. We only ate a slice each. We were forced to get a 14" so that's a lot of pizza to throw away. We had to ask for water and once those became empty, we no longer had water. The most attention we got was when the check got delivered. That's when I noticed a 3.5% surcharge that wasn't mentioned. I asked her about it and she said "we paid $2000.00 in credit card fees last month. I suggested she think about Marions and how long they held out on taking credit cards and once they did, their business EXPLODED. That's the cost of doing business. Expenses like that are taken in to consideration when you price your menu. Tossing a random charge on a bill at 3.5 gets deducted from your tip! I loved the atmosphere! Is a cute little place, loved the white lights and mismatched furniture; charming! We started with the cheese sticks which were alright but the marinara was sooo good. We then ordered the meatball and sausage appetizer- SO GOOD! The sausage was especially tasty and the marinara added the perfect tanginess. Then we ordered the pizza as our entree, very good! The crust is thin and crispy and the topping cover edge to edge with a delicious coating of stringy mozzarella cheese to glue all the deliciousness together. The interior isn't the most fancy of places but the owners make up for it in their welcoming appreciation for your business. When I visited a full bar was being constructed and will be a nice addition to this family restaurant. Currently, they do offer beer and wine. So... my sister in laws birthdays were this week so needed to pick a place where all nine of us can be seated and good food because we are all a bit picky. My mom had mentioned that this cute little Italian place down the street from Centerville's High School had the best pizza she's ever had. And more impressive, my dad didn't argue with this accolade. We get there, we are seated and Oli(sp?) starts up the some conversation about the store. His folks run it, they are known for their pizza(did my mom talk to them?) and he takes our drink order. We start out with an order of the New York Rills(spinach) that were delicious. Freshly baked bread with white cheese and spinach inside. The aroma and taste of these was sooooo good. Nine of us, we order four pizzas, a supreme, two meat lovers and my favorite, the Tuscany. We also ordered the lasagna and the Trio Delight which includes chicken Parm, stuffed shells and ravioli. We got salads with their house made Italian and ranch dressing. The Italian dressing was pretty darn tasty. I'm not kidding you when I state, this was some of the best Italian I've had in a very long time. The Tuscany pizza was as good as the freshly tossed pizza I had when we were within 200' of Central Park NYC and I considered that the best pizza I've ever had and this teeny tiny small strip mall mom and pop Italian shop brought me right back to the taste... the lasagna. I consider my lasagna snob and mine is the best, but this was incredible and way less time for me to prep, build and cook my own from scratch. During the meal, the owner dropped by a coupe of times to ask us questions and simply spend time getting to know us. I really felt like family to this fella. For dessert we got a slice of tiramisu and limoncello cake and just like everything else, delicious. If you haven't been here, go try it and support some nice folks and enjoy a fantastic Italian dinner. This place was great! Ordered over phone to pickup a beef lasagna and Four Way Pasta. I was told it was would be ready in 50 minutes. That was fine with me. I got there and it was ready. They even brought all items we bought out in a box for me. I thought that was super nice. The food was great. Taste was excellent. I had the Four Way pasta that included the Lasagna, Ravioli, Stuffed Shells, Manicotti!! All was great but I really liked the Lasagna! My wife also got the beef Lasagna she loved it too! No complementary bread with dinner. Spaghetti sauce was like paste with tomatoes. Cheese calzone ($12) was over cooked. The vegetable calzone was $15. I added tomatoes to my cheese calzone and basil. They charged $3 for tomatoes, ok but also charged $3 for basil! More than the vegetable calzone which had more on it!
