I posted a review on 1.5.2026. I am posting again to let potential clients know that Ted's Pool's…read morereply to me was inaccurate, since this is a website for consumers to share honest experiences with a company. It disturbs me even more that this company is comfortable lying about the service they provided our family. Ted's Pools subcontractor put in an inadequate gas line for what our system required. We could not run our gas oven if the hot tub was on. They did not turn in a peco adequacy form before they started the work. After it was over they told us to do it if we were having issues. Their work also resulted in a gas leak which we had to hire an outside contractor to resolve. I did not trust ted's Pools to respond to an email let alone resolving a gas leak. Carol said they did not want me to have a dark ground pool because I had young children. I told her at the time of the meeting my three children are teenagers and all can swim very well. So that is another lie they told in their reply. Maybe Ted's doesn't have adequate options for their clients. They only showed me two options and did not make any effort to show me anything else. It was that or nothing. Carol did speak to my husband about the spillway after we sent email after email. I cannot confirm if the mason ever came because at no time did I speak to a mason at my house sent by Ted's. At no time did they follow up and say "our mason was there." If their mason identified the issue why would they just not fix it. Again we spent months trying to resolve the issue and our emails went unanswered. Next lie. They screwed up the closing of the pool. We spent a month testing the water at Leslie's Pool supply. The only thing Ted's did was come out and the tech left a note say the balances are really messed up and they would let Carol know. I had to follow up with Carol and she responded with a 30 minute window that had to get in touch with her. Then we fired them after one of teenager got a chemical burn from them screwing up the hot tub maintenance. Carol did not try to explain anything you have to track Carol down for a response to anything. They said they came twice a week in the winter to service the hot tub. That is a lie. That is what I repeatedly asked for Carol never replied to that request and they only ever came once a month and the hot tub was completely under serviced. Carol you can reply to this all you want but you know you did not handle the account correctly. You're not running a good business and you do not take care of issue after the pool has been built. Customers are on their own to track you down and in the end they are better to hire someone else to resolve it so it actually gets taken care of.

I called around noon that day and was told "oh they're going to come tomorrow instead." They showed up the following day and got the cover off. They couldn't figure out how to start the pumps. after 3.5 hours of trying, they asked ME for help. I'm not a pool tech!! I did my best to guide them but it still wasn't working. They told me "we called the office an hour ago, they told us we should just leave right then and there". I told them to give it one more try and if its still not working, give up. Three minutes later they went zooming out of the driveway. Haven't heard from the company since then. It's been 2 weeks. My husband came home from work and started the pumps in about 30 minutes. despite my profile location - I assure you, this is indeed a review for Teds Pools in Delaware County PA

Be careful with this company…read more We switched to EVO Pools a few years ago because we needed a reliable pool service to open and close our pool. They are a local company as well and seemed reasonable the first year. Last summer, we had them open and clean the pool. They showed on time and communicated arrival. When they arrived, many of the workers (while friendly) don't speak English and so there are a few language barriers during the process. Many times the workers will just instruct to call the office to discuss any questions or next steps. So, asking them about their process or what should expect is futile. A day after they left, the pool was not clean (debris at the bottom and algae on the walls). I called and emailed and the response was that it may take a few times to clean the pool for it to be truly clean. And they would come back "for a charge" to clean it again. What?? And honestly, if I didn't pay A LOT of money to open, I wouldn't have been that upset. So, I simply remembered that I would need to add a cleaning next year and worked to get the pool clean on my own. We used them again this summer, but this time I ordered a cleaning with the opening (as a separate item to which they charged me an hourly rate). The pool reps came (same workers) opened the pool and cleaned it. They let us know that someone would be back for the full cleaning a day later. GREAT! They came back a day later (I was charged 1.5 hours) and cleaned the pool. When they left that day, there was still algae and other sediments in the pool. My husband and I thought this would be cleaned by our filter, expecting that the walls and floor were scrubbed and this is what caused the cloudiness in the water. Two days later when the water cleared, there was still algae on the walls, floors, and around the lights. I reached out to express my concern and the response was "it may take more than a few cleanings" and they were happy to come back out and CHARGE ME AGAIN!!!! It was clear that the work/scrubbing of the pool walls, around the lights, in the creases of the stairs, etc wasn't done at the cleaning. We will never use EVO again. I give them 2 stars for communication because they do quickly respond and especially quick to tell me that they would happily come out and fix the issue at MY expense. And if you have money to burn, you could just have them come out 20 times to clean your pool until it's done and ready for the summer!!

The agreement was signed on the 2nd of March 2026. I wish that I could post photos here, but In the interest of complete transparency, I invite anyone interested to inspect the work at 354 W Christine Road, Nottingham; PA . According to Clarks, this is the highstandard of work that they deliver. 1. The area around the pool is "machine graded" as per the contract. My understanding at least from the initial verbal assurances was that this would end as a 1 by 3 slope. There is leftover stone and debris which Clarke claims they are not responsible for 2. The sides of the pool are warped. Clarkes assures us that this will be fixed when the pool cover is installed but they cannot provide a specific date. 3. Piles of excavated material is left over, even though the contract specifies that excavated material should be removed. 4. The outside grill for the Heat Pump unit that Clarks installed is damaged. This might indicate that the unit was dropped or bumped during the installation. 5. Clarkes insists that all approvals regarding permits are my responsibility. I can't even get a complete list of inspections that were done or completed, just an assurance that everything was done. So after spending 120 K, I do have a plastic tub in the backyard. Not quite what I expected. The good part is the the folks were really quite pleasant up until the contract was signed.
