i had lunch at Omega for the first time ever today. I've passed it lots of times but never been until my brother suggested it - he's a regular. I didn't know what I've been missing! It was fairly crowded when we got there - a good indication since it was 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. a server was with us immediately and we had drinks in no time. same with placing our orders & receiving our food - fast & friendly. my brothers ham & bean soup looked delicious it was easy to tell it was homemade. my corned beef & pastrami w Swiss & Cole slaw on grilled rye - called the Detroit Shocked Sandwich - made my mouth water looking at it and was just as tasty as it looked. Plus let me tell you they do not skimp on anything You get a STACK of meat on it. It was all I could do to finish half of it. my family is originally from the Detroit area where they have some of the best delis and I can confidently say that Omega would fit right in. I haven't had a sandwich like that since going to one of the Detroit Delis that specialize so I'm over the moon after eating at Omega. It was $16.95 for my sandwich. I think that price is on point when you take a look at how much a fast food combo runs these days. You definitely get your moneys worth at Omega. Plus you get to sit back and have great service from a very friendly attentive waitstaff. My brother having been there many times also said they've tried a lot of other things on the menu and there's nothing that has disappointed them. His wife particularly enjoys their breakfast. So if you are down in Grand Blanc or even if you aren't - it's worth a little drive - stop in and give Omega a try! read more

Our server, a dark hair older lady, was very abrasive. Not the service we are used to, there was a big DoorDash order placed and I can understand food being slow or delayed, our order was prepared incorrectly. You walk in the door and you feel like a regular. Everyone says hello they invite you to sit down and they're right at your table to find out what you want to drink and if you know already what you want. That's what I call service. Then you open the menu, it's huge, I have had breakfast and lunch here and I have never been disappointed and it has always been top notch to overboard. My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The place had a comfortable, diner-like feel with an open kitchen, and it looked like a lot of regulars were enjoying their meals -- always a good sign. The restaurant was maybe a quarter full when we arrived, and we were greeted right away by our server, Taylor, who was friendly and brought our drinks out promptly. We ordered Greek salads, sandwiches, and a chili dog. Everything was great. The Greek salad, in particular, stood out -- definitely one of the better ones we've had in the area. While the tomatoes were a bit off for this time of year, everything else was fresh, and the house Greek dressing was excellent. The pastrami Reuben was generously stacked -- my wife couldn't make it through half of hers. The chili dog was exactly what you'd expect: classic diner-style comfort food. Just GO! Both the food and the service were excellent. The corned beef and the pastrami were delicious, flavorful, and moist. The hash browns were perfectly prepared (not pictured). The only downside is that they're over an hour away from home. If we're ever in the area we will certainly go there again. read more

First visit here for breakfast. Stumbled on a great diner with colossal omelette, fluffy pancakes, delicious potato side, and a great homemade corned beef. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast or a mile high corned beef sandwich. Can't wait to come back. read more

There's plenty of seating for a classic diner. Parking lot is huge. The inside is nice and clean and the customer service was great. The hash browns could have been cooked a little bit longer I like them to be a little more crunchy but the ham was absolutely delicious as was the bacon. The bacon was super smoky and very meaty. The biscuit seems like it might have been homemade and they toasted it which was a nice touch. They are on the expensive side but quality cost money. Next I'd like to try their lunch menu I hear they have a great corn beef. read more

I've been here dozens of times: dine in and to go. Waitresses are surly and couldn't crack a smile if their lives depended on it (particularly the one with a long reddish pony tail and the dark haired one turning grey). They prefer to spend their time talking with each other or rolling silverware at the expense of customer beverage refills, delivering the bill, or just checking in. Food is fantastic. Just opened on the Lake Orion/Oxford border on M24 and just South of Drahner, the former Country Koney. Martin, the owner, whom we got to meet, has done a stellar job cleaning this place up in just a short time. It is cleaner, new tables and a breath of fish air. The outside look is new and appealing too. Food and service was excellent, piled high. Note to Martin; Dijon mustard is a must have, I hope you remember to get some for me/us. read more

Saw all the great reviews and wanted to try out the place while I waited for my car to be serviced at Al Serra. Usually would have breakfast at Leo's across the street. Didn't live up to my expectations. Not a bad breakfast but typical fare. Hash browns were bland and not as crispy as I would like. Eggs cooked perfectly. Decent coffee but nothing extraordinary about the breakfast. Might given them another try and their lunch menu as their corned beef seems to be their specialty and what people rave about. read more

I had breakfast on my mind all day and it was very very good. The eggs were over medium just like I like them, the sausage was well done just like I like it, and the hash-browns were good too. I also had 1 inch thick Texas toast with extra butter. Very good experience and enjoyed seeing my friend. They were still so friendly with the organized rush of lunch. I have lived in the area 35 years and recently came across a review on Omega. Well, it made me get a craving for a corned beef sandwich. So, I went in for a carry-out of their New York Reuben with a side of fries and a soft drink. It was perfect with HUGE flavor, and even an extra Russian dressing on the side, without asking. All that dressing was used and loved it to the last drop. Every component of the sandwich was high-quality deliciousness, yet everything came together in a symphony of perfection. The coleslaw was fresh, crispy, and its sweet & piquant flavor contrasted beautifully with the gooey melted Swiss cheese, all adding to the perfect savory spices of the thick, generous layer of tender corned beef, all held together with the grilled crusty beefy bread for my moment in heaven. My response to the sheer delight in this fabulous Omega creation only made me have an economy of words by quoting Arnold - "I'll be back" (and bring friends). Not from the area, in the area for a special event and wanted a good breakfast. Being on one of the last days of my Meatless lent adventure made me look for a coney island. I would be able to get some good veggie options. It is SMALL and intimate. There are folding tables and office chairs in the middle of booths from a fast food place. Service was pretty quick, but even tho my waitress asked all the right questions, she never responded after we answered. It made me feel like she didn't really want to serve us (even with my light skin, we were the darkest people there). Anywho. Food came out pretty quickly, we all had breakfasts. I ordered a grilled vegetarian omelette, filled with broccoli and spinach and peppers. While i enjoyed the food, the ingredients were fresh and abundant, the omelette was a scramble with scorched eggs which i hate. Rye bread was good, but i got mismatched slices. Mom asked for Over Easy Eggs and got Over Medium. Would I go back? IDK, Id probably look for something else, the fabric office chairs and pull out tables made me feel weird, especially after paying 11 bucks a breakfast. read more

I had breakfast today, a pretty simple order; two eggs, four sausage links, and a pancake, plus coffee. At most restaurants this is a eight or nine dollar meal. At Omega Coney Island, my bill total was $16.45, what a surprise. Way over priced as far as I'm concerned. A couple of days ago I had breakfast at Antonios Coney Island on Fenton Road in Flint, the tab was $7.15 for a sausage and cheese omelette, hashbrowns, and toast. Add a coffee in and you're still less than 10 bucks. read more

Also switched out the hash browns and toast for two pancakes. Awesome that you have this option! The pancakes were good but standard. Nothing I would actively come back to get.
