Color & Co. Salon is the. best. salon. in the Tampa Bay Area, HANDS DOWN. I found them through Instagram a couple of months after they opened last year and I am SO glad I did. At that time, I had a hair appointment at my old salon before a trip, but my stylist (who I had been going to for several years) had an emergency and had to cancel last-minute. I found Color&Co and told them my situation, and they bent over backwards to fit me in before my trip. I haven't looked back since. Ben (one of the owners) does my hair and is just incredible. I have never loved my blonde more than I do after his magic and I am VERY particular about my color. Ben is the only stylist I've ever gone to that remembers my hair and what I like. Not only that, he remembers even the small details like that I part my hair to the left, or that I'm extremely tender-headed, without being reminded. I've had a couple of friends go to their other stylists and can say every single one is insanely talented. Aside from their quality of work though, I have to highlight a few other, less obvious things: Their salon, for one, is beautiful. Needs no explanation. They have a wash bar that is literally like a spa experience (scalp massage and all). I almost fell asleep during my shampoo today!! What I love the most though is how welcoming and kind every single person is in the salon. Even a couple of their other stylists know me by name and I always leave feeling beautiful. They always make me feel welcome and like I'm the only person there, and there's so much to be said about that. The only even remotely negative thing I have to say about CC is that they are very expensive. You get what you pay for, though. My hair is something I've always been willing to invest in, and I've never felt like their pricing was unfair. It's high compared to most in the area, but not for top-tier salons in big cities. I don't typically write reviews because I'm lazy, but I just saw the literally the ONLY yelp review for this salon was 1 star, so I decided that I needed to balance that out. First of all, you will ALWAYS walk out looking good. They don't settle for anything less than perfect when it comes to your hair. At the end of theou're getting what you've paid for. So at least that's two reviews that can agree that they are delivering a good service for the actual reason you're there. As for the atmosphere of the salon, yes, all the stylists talk. But I have never been there and felt out of place or uncomfortable. I'm typically very shy, and the whole salon talks, so it actually makes it pretty easy to join in. You can, and are welcomed, to chime into literally any conversation going on. I was fairly surprised, as a guest, that another guest felt like any of these girls are "mean girls". Everyone is actually incredibly sweet, and will typically pass by and throw a compliment out to you. I have had two fairly major hair changes done at this salon and left feeling 100x more confident than when I walked in. They hype you up and give you results you couldn't even imagine was possible! The attached photos are from an all day color correction that I had done at this salon. I was there literally all day. It was a LONGGGGG day but between the chit chat and Friends playing on the TV, it wasn't all that bad. On top of that, at lunch time, not only did one of the owners tell his stylists that he was going to grab lunch if they wanted anything, but he made sure he asked all the guests if we wanted him to grab us some lunch too. We all sat around eating sushi. It was great. This team goes above and beyond for their guests. So much so, that I drive 40-50 minutes out of my way to get my hair done, and I'll keep doing it! 10/10 would recommend! read more

First off, I'll start by saying there is NO other salon In the State of Florida that tops this salon! I have been a client of Dominique since early 2017 (before she and Ben owned their own salon) and she has been my go-to since the first time she laid hands on my hair. She brought my hair back from being bleached TWICE in one sitting (different salon, not color and co), to what you see in the picture I have attached. I could NEVER get my hair to grow and it's grown, at least 5-6 inches (believe me, that's A LOT for me) since 2017. I have NEVER felt more comfortable at any salon I've ever been too. You walk in and you are greeted with "Hello beautiful" or "You look so good, your hair is doing so great!" I have the lowest self esteem ever and I feel like I'm royalty when I walk in this salon!! Everyone greets you with a smile and I'm not even going to get started on how AMAZING you will feel once they set you up with a ring light and take pictures of your hair. like you're a model! You feel so refreshed when you're there and that feeling NEVER goes away! The other stylist will walk by and compliment each other's work and it brings such a joyful atmosphere to the salon! I highly recommend this salon to ANYONE who wants their hair to look absolutely FABULOUS and make you leave feeling just even more fabulous! I have been to this Salon one time. My experience was beyond incredible. After reading the prior post I am unsure if the person actually was reviewing the correct salon, because they are like a family. They all rely on each other for help and sincerely love working together. I went and spent hours with Crissa, while engaging in conversation with other clients and hair stylists. I had both owners & other stylist check in on Crissa, and they checked with me to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. My color is flawless, my experience was without a doubt the best I've ever had. I did not hear anyone speak anything negative in the 8hrs I was present in the salon. I also was one of the last clients there and they were all uplifting each other and every single client that walked in and out of that door. When you leave this place you cant wait to go back, you cant wait to see what your hair will look like next time and I left smiling. You feel so much positivity around you, you feel beautiful. What else would you want after being pampered all day? Yes, its expensive but you get what you pay for. I have since made my remaining appointments for the year (because this place is AMAZING!), also have referred 5 people who have all booked and have had incredible experiences as well. I wish I could have given way more than just 5 stars to this salon! Everything, starting from the aesthetics and ending with the immaculate service, was 100% amazing! I had balayage and cut done by Macy and she was the sweetest and very knowledgeable and professional! My hair turned out amazing, very natural and exactly how I wanted it, she fixed my uneven cut and grown out foiled highlights that were very stripy. When I came in, I was offered a tour of the salon, everyone was super friendly and I didn't have to wait to get my service at all. The atmosphere just felt very welcoming and truly relaxing. They had fruit infused water, coffee, cocktails and snacks to tend to any dietary need too! Plus, guests can watch Netflix, enjoy a talk or just relax and listen to music if they want to. Also, not only Macy did an amazing job with my hair, we had a great conversation as well, she answered all of my questions and made sure that I understand all the steps! My appointment was 5 hours but I didn't even notice because time flew by so fast and I left with amazing hair and feeling so good! I have never been happy with my hair and usually leave the salon upset because my stylist doesn't care or gives me the opposite of what I want. I found this salon while home for quarantine (I live in NYC and have been to lots of upscale salons & never been satisfied) so I thought why not give this place a shot while in Florida. The backstory about my hair: I have years of black dye on my hair & desperately wanted to get back to my ashy brown natural color. After years of trying I almost gave up, then Kimberley did my hair! From start to finish (10 hours at the salon), Kimberley was the nicest stylist I've ever been to. She was bubbly and also made sure to give me advice about the upkeep of my hair. She is very knowledgeable and knows how to slay hair, period. I also wanted to mention the salon itself- this was such a relaxed environment. Everyone was VERY friendly to each other and no caddy behavior at all like some comments I saw on yelp. They have more of a family relationship and I felt very welcomed. I was introduced to Dominique and Crissa at Color & Co by a girlfriend and have been BLOWN away by every experience I've had thus far! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are at a premium salon. It is absolutely gorgeous inside, and everyone is kind and welcoming. The entire vibe is just perfection! My first experience with Crissa was a creative color and I seriously had never been so in love with my hair before in my life. I've had some amazing stylists in the past, but nothing compares to Crissa's talent. I've been a client at Color & Co for almost a year, and I can honestly say each time I love my hair more and more. I have extensions now and she's transformed my hair into something I never thought would be me. I have been going to Color & Co since their grand opening a year ago. My stylist is Dominique (Owner) and her assistant is Cassandra- they are by far the most thorough and caring individuals! The atmosphere is incredible and I truly do look forward to my hair appointments. I originally visited this salon because my hair was damaged and I was looking to correct this with a talented stylist, proper products, hair extensions and most importantly time. Dominique was very realistic with the methods and lengths available and assured that they would be blended and unnoticeable. A promise she has continued to uphold. She was also very realistic about the time and effort it would take to get my hair healthy again. A year later, my hair is healthier than ever before and I would have to say, I haven't felt this confident when it comes to my hair... EVER. This is one of the best, most professional salons I have ever been to! I have been going to these stylists for years and have had the pleasure of watching their salon flourish since. It is truly an honor to go to such amazing stylists who genuinely care for their clientele. My stylist is Macy, but I can honestly say that they are all so amazing that the word "talent" isn't a sufficient enough word to describe what each of the stylists at Color and Co. possesses. My favorite aspect is definitely the products they use on your hair to make sure to it remains healthy, and they are always willing to take the time to educate their clients, which has helped my hair personally come a long way to be so much stronger and healthier. I can not say enough good things about my experiences here. My first visit I went in with hair that really didn't have me feeling great about myself. I was scheduled with Crissa, one of their blonde specialists, who is an absolute joy to be around. Their team was so kind and more than helpful with jumping in to help with my hair and offer me refreshments/snacks. They have such a family vibe, which they make you feel apart of, that you don't see in many salons. Crissa was able to keep the integrity of my hair (and actually made it stronger) as well as give me my dream hair. I've now been a couple more times for maintenance and I've been pleased with my results every single time. Also everyone has made me feel so gorgeous, that I have walked out each time feeling completely elated the rest of the day. I absolutely love Color and Co Salon! I have been going here since they opened, and followed them from their last place. The owners, Ben and Dominique, are professional, experienced, friendly, creative, kind and fun to work with. I have never had a bad experience here. My stylist Kimberley has been with them since before too. I love her! She always knows just how I like my hair and its perfect every time. She is intuitive with what my hair needs and doesn't push anything on me either. I love talking to her and I feel like everyone there is very friendly and no cattiness. I absolutely LOVE this salon and all the people that work there. Not only do they treat you like a queen but your hair will look it's absolute best! Their work is outstanding! I have my hair hi-lighted light blonde and it's in very healthy condition because of the care and technique they use. It's also an Oribe salon which says a lot about their quality standards. Only 5 stars because 10 stars wasn't an option! I can't say enough good things about this salon. Everyone here is a true artist and are all personally trained by Dominique. I came to Dominique over 3 years ago for a color correction and they did such an amazing job that I will never go anywhere else. They are very professional and are all perfectionist!I I have recommended the salon to many of my friends and co-workers and they are all obsessed now! I just went in for the first time to just buy Oribe. The stylist who helped me find the right product was super sweet and patient, and the reception was extremely nice as well. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, and I didn't feel intimidated like how I feel walking into some salons.
