Read the reviews so thought I would try the salon for a haircut-took 10 minutes, wash was abrupt (no 'scalp massage' as I read in review :( and the salonist checked her watch a few times), and the end result was---I could have done it myself! I'm only writing this because I saw how cheap the color/cut/style was offered on Color Bar $17 (ended yesterday 6/14 I believe). Although I have used Groupons there a number of times...I asked prior. I gave up trying to make an appointment. They do not have a receptionist. I've witnessed once when the owner and Janelle were both there, one answered the salon phone? I "believe" they use cell phones for making appts..no biggie (actually better), "if" they return calls/manage calls emails in a timely fashion. Email is not responded to based on my experience. Janelle did a great job on my Cut/color, never unhappy; but "as far as I know" she is not a Massage Therapist, which accounts for the bad massage review(s). I had a facial there that was done by a young woman, renting space per say at the Salon. I was happy with it, but prefer a SPA atmosphere for Spa Services. I personally think they are diminishing their worth by offering the services through Groupon "at that price". I always gave a 20% tip based on the full services price (noted on the Groupon), but not on the product trials (sheen on color etc) that were suggested by Janelle & said yes to "while in the chair". I did pay for those, but didn't tip on that....After writing a bad review (which I haven't) even with good intentions, best to go to the source prior...if they answer your call. I'd suggest, try somewhere else. I honestly wish them well...but they need to "fix" their practices; i.e. maybe use the service that allows customers to book appt on line based on Color Bars' availability. The Color Bar team are excellent. I've gone to Christine for years for cut & color and Janel now cuts my children's hair. Clean salon, good pricing, creative styling -even for the kids! I look forward to my visits bc they do an awesome job and I feel 20 lbs lighter after my cut & color. Call ahead but walk-ins welcome too. read more

I really wished I loved this place because it's so close to me. I usually buy Groupons to try out new places and if I like them, I'll for sure invest on them. But unfortunately this spa did not win me over. It took me forever to get a hold of someone to book an appointment. After weeks of trying to call I was finally able to get through via email, I came in for my "60 minute massage" in reality it took about 45 minutes. My therapist, Janel, did an okay job. She had firm hands in which I loved, but she didn't massage my full body nor did she ask about me problem areas. At the end, she had offered me another massage on the house because of my booking problem. The day of my next appointment came, she called me an hour before my massage to cancel on me. So we rescheduled. This time I was the one who had to reschedule, but I called them a couple of times a week before my appointment and I wasn't able to get a hold of anybody. I left massages but I still haven't heard from anybody. At this point, I give up and I'll never be coming back. They seem nice people but they are very unprofessional when it comes to their business. read more

I got highlights that came out great, but it was nearly impossible to reach someone to make an appointment. Booking a single appointment took two weeks. Eventually they replied to email and said I should text them instead of calling their business number... seems weird, no? After getting the highlights, I booked an appointment 12 weeks later (was kind of pressured into it), and then at 8am the day of that appointment, I got a voicemail saying that their hours had changed and claiming that this was the second voicemail they left - sadly that was not true (I checked my call history). Honestly, even if they do a nice job on the color, they need to do a better job at running the business end of it. read more

Fabulous!!! Had mine, my daughters and my moms hair done tonight...the most friendly, non pretentious wonderful staff. I didn't feel forced to buy extra stuff, it was a mere suggestion and yes I bought a few things but I still have money in my account and I am going back for my mani pedi in a week!!! They cut well but suck at hair color. I went to get highlights and cut. She did highlights but also colored my roots brown. So I had about 2 inches of brown. Who fucking does that. You pay all this money and they do a shit job.I have groupon bucks to use so I messaged them, they read my message and ignored me. So I commented on one of their recent posts and asked if they could get back to me and they blocked me from being able to message them. Do you always block people when they ask your business a question about a groupon? Why are you listed on groupon then? Unprofessional. Now I see why they have bad reviews. read more

Don't waste your hard earned money on getting a so-called "massage" there. They didn't even give me the full hour I was promised on the Groupon I used. She never asked if there were any problem areas, or if her touch was too little or too much. She completely skipped my feet (I hate feet anyways). She acted like she was either too tired or couldn't care one bit about what she was doing. It's outrageous they're even allowed to give massages at all. A TOTAL waste of time, money & energy. After I bought a groupon for 3 60-minute massage sessions and I tried calling them not only have I tried to get in contact with them by calling multiple times without getting a call back (like half a dozen times), but when I finally do get in contact, I make my appointments and they keep on changing it! Now my groupon's gonna expire soon & they're still giving me the run around. Today was the third time the appointment was scheduled (for 4pm), and today I found out that they close at 3pm. I called them maybe a dozen times but I haven't gotten in contact with anyone yet. I'm surprised this salon doesn't have more reviews! Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean, comfortable salon. They do nails, massage, and even laser hair removal. Janel was able to fit me in her schedule and took care of me in no time! I explained exactly the color and cut I wanted and it came out perfectly. Janel did an amazing job! Used an Amazon Local $40 Shellac Manicure with Rejuvenating Peppermint Scrub (my aunt paid $20, and was a gift)....my nails came out terrible, my color was not taken off completely, so you can see the dark purple under my new color which is pink. It's lumpy on some spots, a glob in another, an air bubble in one nail, the full nail wasn't completely painted, AND, my hands never touched water (nope they weren't soaked) so my cuticles don't look that great either, and I didn't get any peppermint scrub. The brochure they gave me after, says a shellac manicure is $30....very disappointed and misleading. They were very nice, but overall a waste of time and money. read more

Janelle was very nice and didn't try to make too much small talk with me which I appreciated, so I hate to write a bad review, but I've never had a worse haircut in my life. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and the finished look was nowhere close to it. She faced me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing and by the time she turned me around, the damage was already done. I will never go back again. read more
