We visited Saturday afternoon in September from 2:30 PM to closing at 4:00 PM. It was us, plus two other women with their toddler girls. The youngest girl was almost two and explored and played at her own pace. My girl and the other girl was closer in age, so they played together some, but mostly separately. Overall, it was nice and quiet. No kid music in the background, just the sound of battery operated toys and toy wheels. Really really spectacular if you are a parent in need of decompression. I am currently enjoying the sofa. Ahhh. So nice. There is a small kitchen with drinking water, ice machine, coffee, tea, and a sink. There are small snacks like Pringles, plain popcorn, Honest Kids juice boxes, fruit bars for sale. There is a separate play space for children 24 months and younger, but it's pretty small and simple. There is a clean, single restroom with two stools, child toilet seat, and not loud manual flush toilet. There is a changing table next to the restroom. Drop-in price is $12 first child and $10 for siblings, no time limit. Adults are no charge but must accompany child/children. It is a no shoe facility and adults must wear socks to go into the play area. There is a shoe cubby at the entrance. Tap to pay accepted, so I paid with my phone. There is a waiver but you can do it online ahead of time.

Concern About Staff Harassment…read more I attended a community event recently and had an uncomfortable experience with one of your staff photographers. Despite clearly blocking him and expressing that I did not want my photo taken, he continued taking pictures of me and singling me out to take my picture and record me. When I reported this to venue staff, the response was essentially that he was "just doing his job," which made me feel that my boundaries and safety were not being taken seriously. The staff did not address his behavior and requested a private meeting with me to question me. I'm sharing this so the venue is aware that attendees' comfort and consent must come first. Staff should be trained and reminded to respect boundaries and ensure everyone feels safe. I hope the venue will address this behavior and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Plenty of shade trees, open space, poop bags and water fountains ( for humans & K-9's)* *water fountains for humans & K-9's. Poop bags for dogs only. Both the big dog (over 30lbs) and small dog areas have ample room to run and play. We now have 3 very nice dog parks ( Folsom / Cameron Park ) within a 10 mile radius of our home. What a great place for "Man's best friend" to run, play and meet new friends.

I was hoping to find something that 1.) we hadn't already done (and with two toddlers I assumed this would be a difficult feat) 2.) Something that was somewhat low key, she's still at this phase where she isn't quite demanding things (like a dozen screaming little gal pals being present) so I want to take advantage and 3.) something special, I of course adore this chick and feel she deserves something unique and worthwhile. I looked up Princess Academy online and checked out their "menu" of services and it was exactly what I was looking for. I had heard about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland and always hoped that they would have something similar close-by (and ideally not as $$Expensive$$). This was that and SO. MUCH. MORE. I reached out and left a voicemail. I received a return call from Amanda who was incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about putting something special together for us. I immediately booked The "Royal Treatment" with Tea and Cookies -for four. Two Grandmas, myself and the birthday girl. Amanda then told me about a special photo-shoot opportunity, which I took advantage of as well. The photo shoot day was so much fun for our little girl. Amanda was so nurturing and wonderful to work with and the photos turned out great. You can't beat the price either, especially considering that they provide the attire, they do the hair and makeup! Garden fairy princess, I believe was the theme. Next up was her Royal Treatment and Tea Party surprise. I can't even describe how wonderful the entire experience was. "Princess Amanda" and "Princess Brea" were waiting at the front door when we arrived. It was a magical and empowering morning of pampering and positivity (at a fraction of the price that you would pay for anything similar anywhere else). Of every class or sport my kid has ever done, this has been his absolute favorite (It's been one of my favorite activities he's done, as well!). The coaches are super positive and keep it high energy. It's only 45 minute classes (I wish they were an hour) but they don't waste any of the time. Even during their water breaks they have an activity or video on the screen that teaches confidence building skills. The coaches are very friendly and encouraging to parents , as well. My only complaint is that there often isn't enough instruction on proper form. Kids are frequently using bad form. There are only 2 instructors for the class so they can't help every kid for every activity, but there needs to be more live assistance on proper form. (I will say that I provided this feedback via a survey and the following week the coaches made a noticeable effort to help my kid with form, so they are very receptive to feedback, which is very rare these days). Every single coach there acts like they love their job. I'd think they'd have to have a passion for working with kids in order to do this job, but nonetheless, I love their business model attitude. (I was actually very hesitant to sign up as I had seen them at various festivals, and it seemed like a money grab. But after attending a single trial class, my kid was hooked, and it was evident that their entire business model revolves around building confidence in kids). I can't recommend them enough!
