We visited Wacky Tacky in Rancho Cordova on a Saturday and overall had a really fun time. It's a great indoor play spot with activities for a wide range of ages, and the kids definitely stayed entertained while we were there. Unfortunately, there were two birthday parties happening at the same time, which meant about two-thirds of the facility was reserved, so we only had access to roughly a third of the play space. There was also a huge volleyball tournament going on next door, which made parking extremely difficult -- though I understand that part is outside of Wacky Tacky's control. One thing I would love to see improved is the under-2 play area. There wasn't much available for the littlest kids besides a single slide. Overall though, it's still a fun place to bring kids of different ages, and we'd definitely consider coming back -- maybe on a less busy day.

We checked out Wacky Tacky for a kid's birthday party yesterday - it was the first time for my family! The inside is split into 3 different play areas - the 2 on the right are reserved for private parties and the 1 on the left is open play for everyone. I really liked how it was separate and allowed for more space for the kids in our party to run around. It was a 2-hour reservation, so half the time is spent in the play hours and the other half is spent in the private party room. The party room was massive! It included a small TV that they played Bluey on, 2 or 3 tables for the kids and even benches along the walls for parents. It also included a big throne chair for the birthday girl to sit in while she opened presents. I also really liked that the party attendant had all of the kids line up outside the door and gave them hand sanitizer before entering the party room - he also cut the cake and served it as well. The reservation also included pizza for the kids! Overall, it was a pretty cool place. They have hand sanitizer stations setup all throughout which I really appreciate because we know how germy these places can get. They even offer a snack bar with drinks and snacks like nachos, hot dogs and popcorn. It's a great option for birthday parties or just letting the kids get out some much-needed energy. Check them out!

Walkie-talkie is a fun place to entertain the kids... We bought a month pass for two months of the summer and would stop there and let our granddaughter play while we worked remotely. It has tons of slides and tunnels and balls and all kinds of fun things for the kids to do and it entertains them for hours and wears them out. We go home just in time for a nap. The place is looking a little tired... Time for a renovation especially on the seats in that little café. They have fun food for kids like you would expect at a skating rink popcorn, pizza, chicken, etc..

This is the bathroom situation every time we've been here. Wacky Tacky, PLEASE clean!! Take a little pride in your business and take care of it. My kids find this place very fun, but it's so disgusting in here.

I'd have to say, this was probably the easiest most fun children's birthday party I ever threw! I've hosted many birthday parties at Chuck-e-cheese, Sky Zone, Jon's Incredible Pizza, GolfLand Sunsplash, etc and this place by far had a no issue, super smooth process compared to any where else. How to book an appointment: Must call location direct, or in person visit, and pay the $100 deposit via credit card. You aren't able to book online. The young lady that answered the phone was extremely helpful. I booked my birthday package B which included 20Kids, 3XL pizzas and 3 2liter sodas. I then received an email with my receipt and confirmation. I showed up 30mins before my scheduled time and checked in with the front desk. Very helpful and friendly young staff, place is packed as usual but easy to navigate. Went over all the details and recommended an additional pizza to insure I had enough fit my guests, I almost added two extra pizzas but he informed me only 1 extra would be fine. And it was! After I paid in full, everyone who was early was able to wait in the small waiting room with chairs near the play area. EASY CHECK IN for when your guests arrive, they just fill out the forms at the front and attach the party color coordinating wristbands on your child, PARTY TIME! You get 45 mins in two play areas. Each one reserved PRIVATE just for your party! The first play area was the best! Lots of Slides, ball pits, and a maze the little kids and parents loved! Super fun. The second play area was mostly the blasters where you shoot the plastic balls and run around. When your 45mins is up, a siren goes off to let us know we're on the way to the next area. SNACK BAR closes at 5:20pm so beware of this if you plan on getting snacks, I ordered fountain sodas, chicken strips and nachos. Pretty good snack bar food. PIZZA TIME! We are escorted to the back area private room for cake and pizza party. This is a really large space! Mirrors on the wall, clean tables and cups and plates already set out. Helium filled balloons decorated the tables. Our helper put out the cake and walked around and served everyone pizza, he even had extra candles for the cake since we forgot ours at home. I left feeling refreshed and happy that everyone had a great time. I didn't have to clean or serve or decorate, I just showed up and let them handle the party. They even thoroughly cleaned the party area as we were leaving so I'm sure they read previous reviews and stepped their cleaning game up. This place is awesome and I highly recommend birthday parties for children under 10. PRO TIP: Buy the Wacky Tacky socks for $4 onsite, the grippy bottoms make it easy to climb around the play area..

My 3 year old really enjoyed himself. There is lots of seating for adults and the set up is pretty cool, you can pretty much see your child from every angle if you choose the right spot. My only dislike is that it smells like dirty diapers and could be more cleaner/ fresher. The 1st play area with the "jungle theme" has a lot more space for breathing. We will come back only 4 stars because of the smell.

I have a love/hate relationship with this location. Great place for kids to run off energy! 3 different play sections with different themes and stuff to play on. My 4 and 5 year old loved it. The food was disappointing, minimal and mediocre but you can't really bring outside food so it is what it is. My biggest gripe is the accessibility to the front door. A lot of other kids play places have some kind of buffer to slow down/stop kids from walking out the front door but Wacky Tacky doesn't have anything like that. The doors lead straight out to the parking lot so it was stressful with 2 young children. I don't know that I would come back without another adult to help out. Between the 3 different play areas that are spread out and watching the front door or needing to take a child to the bathroom it was rough.

Ask the Community - Wacky Tacky

I understand there are no outside food and drinks permitted. Are there any special exceptions for kids with severe allergies?

Just don't tell them

We don't see price list on website. What is the admission price?

$15 per one child (1 free adult admission.) $15 per additional child (adult.)

Can I bring my 18mo here?

I would recommend 2 and up based on the athletic requirements of the gym areas. My kid is almost three and is really only now able to appreciate it.

Is this place open now.? After all this Corona virus going on?

Yes, but there is absolutely zero mask enforcement. They say masks are optional for the children, but almost all of the parents opt to not wear them either. I probably will not return for quite some time.

Is this a good place to have a 1 year old party at?

Yes, but you should monitor the child, it is pretty open and has a lot of people around

When is the busiest times?

Middle of the day on weekends.

What age group is this most appropriate for?

10 and under is best.

I did see kids there without supervision, their one parent was doing their own thing and letting their kids run amok. Just saying. Guess they didn't want to pay $10 per extra set of eyes; can't blame em) - ok, end rant. I do like that there are several different areas. They have designated arts and crafts section; a painting and coloring area, a make believe area whereas kids can play dress up, a toddler area for kids 0-2yrs, a sensory area, a large tabletop train area, a foam blocks area with a pretty cool large pin board, and the most fun was the airways area (though it can get pretty busy). Staff is nice but lacks behavioral management. There's plenty around, but no one is really managing parents managing their kids lol. Everything seems clean and picked up for the most part. They have designated times to come wash the paint off the window, which is nice. They also have designated arts and crafts time lead by staff members (my kids did a little water color painting of a flag since it was Memorial Day). The hours are a bit tough to work with for working parents and kids, but you make do with what you have. It's more of a fun indoor play area as oppose to a museum, I'd say. This was our first time here and won't be our last.

The first thing I noticed walking in was how clean everything was. For an indoor play space, that really stood out. The layout is well thought out and there's a lot to keep kids entertained. The play structure is huge and even big enough for adults to climb in with the kids. The ninja course was a big hit and the Mario themed wall had kids lining up to try it. There are arcade games, small rides, and a separate toddler area that I really appreciated. The toddler section even has interactive screens where little ones can play games and draw, which kept the younger kids happy and busy. The staff were all fantastic. Everyone we interacted with were friendly, attentive, and very organized. Hosting a kid's birthday party can feel overwhelming, but they helped everything run smoothly so we could actually relax and enjoy the day. They even handled the small details I forgot like filing the goodie bags and blowing up balloons. The party room was spacious and nicely set up, and the overall experience felt soo easy and well coordinated. HUGE thank you to the team at Peek-A-Boo Factory for helping make the celebration so fun. We'll definitely be back for open play!

So I got to start the adventure with saying "no" cuz I just spent $40 for their entrance fees, then another $6 for THEIR grip socks even though we came wearing our own grip socks. Now I'm the bad guy cuz my kids see flashy expensive arcade games and want to play. The arcade games are so short and so expensive for the time you get to play, and no prizes to win, just money down the drain with the stupid pre paid cards that you don't know how much is left on it. The play structure has a super unsafe feature at the front, the Mario challenge wall, I saw multiple kids probably 8 year olds climb ABOVE the Mario structure where it's a full story high and they would be seriously hurt if they fell. My last complaint is that the staff did not keep a close enough eye on the gate to make sure kids don't escape. I saw the gate just hang open as the staff chatted with each other and not watching to keep it closed. On a positive note, the play structure itself is very large and a lot of exploring opportunities for toddlers and kids, lots of slides. Structures tall enough that parents can follow a two year old almost anywhere in the structure. The place has potential to be better and safer, but I'm sticking to Enchanted for my kids, it's safer for toddlers.

To keep my 23-month-old safe, I ended up paying the additional 50% fee so I could accompany him on the trampoline. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy the party, I spent the entire time chasing and playing alongside my toddler to make sure he didn't get hurt. It was exhausting--I left drenched in sweat, and I'm 38 years old, a runner, and in good shape. Unfortunately, the experience got worse when we left the party area. Someone stole my Altra running shoes along with the zippered party favor bags we had received. My 5-year-old was heartbroken. On top of that, many of the arcade games were out of order, two major attractions were closed. I think this location would benefit greatly from having a dedicated toddler area where younger children can play safely away from older kids. You cannot implement a time wristband when these kids are waiting 5-7 minutes in line just for an activity course to open up because there is no staff there to open it. We went on a Sunday and the weekends obviously your most busiest times you need to schedule accordingly to make sure there's a staff member at every single course because it's time wasted for them to play. Second, the employees seem annoyed when the kids would ask to open the next course. Anyone who has kids know that they stay on one thing maybe two times and then they're off to the next thing. Have employees at every single course if you don't want to stop what you're doing to go open the next course. And lastly, the open trampolines in the back where there is balls are inside the employee spent half the time yelling at the kids to stop kicking the balls. If you don't want the kids to throw/kick the balls then remove them.
