I tried this place out with a friend and had a great time! The process is so easy. You walk in select a piece of pottery, sit down and paint, and come back one the pottery is ready (about a week). The workers gave great instruction on how to make sure the pottery comes out of the kiln nicely (three coats!). The color of your pot when you paint it will not be the same colors as after firing. Be sure to reference the colors on the wall and not what you see as you paint! The environment was peaceful too and very clean too. The pick up process took less than two minutes and we received a $15 voucher for our return. I will be returning next time I need an indoor activity with a friend! read more

Just a heads up ! Be sure you pick up your pottery within 30 days or they donate YOUR paid for pottery without notice. May be in the fine writing - not sure, but definitely not in the reminder text that your items are ready for pick up. Generally my girls and I had a good time. A bit stuffy in my opinion, too quiet. Took my daughter in today on a whim, with spring break we were going stir crazy.. I assumed it would be packed and we'd maybe even have to wait a little. To our luck, we walked in and it was just our little group! We were greeted by Madisin, who had such an impact on our whole experience! As soon as we entered the store she was excited to see us and asked if we've ever been to Color Me Mine before, unfortunately we have not so she walked us through the whole shop explaining everything step-by-step. I love how she not only talked to me as an adult but made my daughter feel comfortable as well. I didn't feel rushed to finished our project as some more and more families started coming in. You'd think Madisin would've gotten stressed but she floated around with such grace! Absolutely amazing experience overall! NIce place. Fun times. My only issue was with making payments. Their credit card machine was down and they said they would call, and days passed without a call. I have been painting pottery for years. I have had classes in pottery. I have painted in various places. My husband, friend and I decided to paint some pottery here one day. It was a good thing that I already knew what I was doing because the staff didn't explain anything. I taught my friend what she needed to do. We painted our pottery and did our thing. No one asked us if we needed anything. (We were on of two tables working in the store.) We finished and handed in our pieces etc. We went to pick up our pieces after they were fired. I don't know where they get their paints but the quality isn't very good because the paint looked terrible on several of the pieces when we picked them up. As I said, I have been doing this for years. There was know reason for the paint to look so bad. I won't be returning to this pottery place. read more

I have been here in the past pre- Covid. Things are different .... employees get paint, refill paint. I felt as though for the amount of tables painting and people picking up finished items they were short staffed. When in need of more paint we had to keep flagging an employee down. They charge a seating fee. Fine no problem. Then they charge an adult $5 to help their child? Seems money grubby on top of the seating fee and overpriced pottery to paint. Lastly. The woman accused my niece of stealing mosaic tiles. But after I pulled all her pockets out (she's 7) she could barely come up with an apology. I think I'll save the money next time. Went there for my daughters birthday. Took 5 friends. Was very surprised at how expensive it was. When I picked the pieces up they were fine. Wrapped but not well. When I got home two were broken. I called and asked if the 2 kids could repaint. I said it wasn't there fault they were broken (although could definitely be wrapped in something better than a sheet of paper) and she said zero discount but I could rebuy them). While I try to help businesses out in covid, the understanding on their part wasn't there and will never go back and make as many people aware as I can. read more

My husband, daughter and I came here on Mother's Day as a surprise to me! We were accommodated immediately into a private party room which was nice since the main room was pretty crowded with all the mothers and children in the world. My toddler was not ready to sit and threw quite the tantrum so my husband took her out of the store and I painted by myself (the real present of the day LOL!!!) The girls who worked there were SO pleasant and helpful. The group in the private room with me were a little elderly and needed help getting their paints, etc and the staff went above and beyond to do that for them. I finished my piece and they took care of the rest. They said it would be about 7-10 days before I got a call to pick it up and it was ready in 4! Very clean shop, and since it was Mother's Day all the moms got to paint for free (just pay for your pottery). I would definitely come here again! read more

Can't say enough good things about the staff and owner of CMM. My 10 year old kid and I are both VIP members and we have now brought 2 of y kids friends here who both loved it. Very please with the products and service. Made an $80 Christmas Tree (ouch) - but we will have it for years. Our latest project was a 14 tile mirror that my kid custom made and hopes to take with her to college one day. Very therapeutic. read more

I have gone here with my kids several times but no more. 1) prices are too high 2) studio helpers who expect a tip never provide any assistance 3) it can get very crowded and because there are so many young children and everything is spaced very close together you run the risk of breaking something which you then have to pay for Luckily there are other studios in West Chester where we will be going from now on. read more

Me and my friend went there for a canvas art class where you are instructed how to paint a copy of a painting. We were in a group with 2 other people and had a blast. The instructor was very knowledgable and very friendly along with the other employees. Afterwards we went to the pizza shop next door which I also recommend. Great pasta. read more

Over priced items and very grumpy owner. Thought it would be a 'fun day out with the kids', but it ran me $100 for one hour of painting and not much to show for it. Then, my 9 year old accidentally knocked over a $21 item. You would think we would be charged for the item.. maybe at cost (if you ever want to see us again.. and since we were already up to $100), but nope the full $21 was charged to our bill. So, we were out that money too. No mercy here. Overall, kids will be in the store and everyone should practice patience. We will never go back. read more

My son and I have come to this location several times in the last two years. Today we went again for some mother son time and I was taken back by how much the prices have gone up. The pieces have become so expensive. 1 hour of painting a twelve inch tall pumpkin stack and a 6 inch Christmas tree plate cost almost $100! You really can't get a decent piece for under $25. I spoke with my friend who took her kids to another location and the pieces there are still on par with the way the prices used to be here. In addition to the cost, not one staff member offered advice or assistance on how to make the pieces look good. read more

This is a nice clean store with a decent selection of items. This is not a cheap day out. The studio fee which covers paint and firing ranges from $7 to $10. The pieces themselves range from $5 for a trinket to $50 for a pumpkin in the fall. My biggest beef is the help. The girls are very much untrained in customer service and would rather sit in the back of the store or stack shelves than help with the million questions that we have to make a piece come out well. Help me get a straight edge, help me avoid brush strokes. Suggest some techniques. Wish there was another place in the area with better service!!
