Took my foster youth here and we spent a good 2.5 hrs here! Their selection of ceramics wasn't as big as other Color Me Mine stores, but we did find stuff to paint. The 2 girls working here were super nice and helpful, always checking in on us and asking if we needed any colors. I found they had stencils so I picked a stencil and it helped me paint my spoon rest. We came back a couple of weeks later and picked up our kilned ceramics and loved how they came out. Awesome place with awesome owner Raquel and workers. Came here for the first time with a friend that I invited out to Redlands. We had the time of our lives! The lady who first helped us was extremely welcoming & kind, and was on top of replenishing the paint. My friend had a bigger piece to work on and the lady was so reassuring saying we could take more time if we need it. The overall structure and designs inside was gorgeous and we felt 100% great vibes. Ended the last hour talking & painting with the owner who was genuinely a wonderful woman and amazing personality. I took my 3 year old and 11 year old and it's a great place for kids of all ages. I wasn't very happy that the shelves were pretty empty , there were not many pieces to choose from. We went on a Sunday so I was hoping since it's a weekend it would be full of options and that was not the case. On my photos you can see the shelves behind the kids and they're so empty. My daughter really wanted a unicorn or cat and there was none. My son was looking forward to get a figuring that was also a piggy bank but they also had none. It was disappointing but I drove down from crestline so we chose something to paint. Ivan was very polite and always able to help us quickly. He explained everything very well and when I brought up the fact that there was very little choices , he did say there was going to be a new delivery Wednesday. He provides refills when needed and gave us some pointers to make sure our ceramics come out nice and bold. After we were done , they said it's going to be 2 weeks till we get our pieces back. I like that this is a nice calm activity for kids and for it being a paint studio, it was very clean. It's a bit expensive, we paid $5 for the reservations which was returned to us and used in our total. I paid $99 for my whole experience, I didn't Paint just my 2 kids so you have an idea of cost. Update , my pieces have just been completed and ready for pick up on 2/18 if you want to know the amount of time you will need to wait for your pieces. 3 weeks. read more

This place has really gone downhill under the new ownership. They used to sell smoke pipes, but now they don't--yet they still sell alcohol pieces, which feels inconsistent. You also have to ask for paint, which is frustrating because the staff either hovers over you or seems annoyed. On top of that, there's distracting music or loud staff, making it hard to relax and be creative. If you're looking for a better experience, drive to Riverside or Painted Earth in Menifee. Riverside is more professional and offers smoke pieces, while Painted Earth lets you grab your own paints, has smoke pieces, and creates a much more welcoming environment. read more

Great place for a date night. Went here with my wife and we loved how cool it was. Reason for the 3 stars is a couple of things. First thing is everything is pricey. If your on a budget and you wanna do something special probably not a good idea to come here unless your picking cheap stuff to color and have done. Second is I understand the whole wasting paint, but why can't we just pick our own paint? Us waiting for the assistant to pick our paint out and not really telling us paint pens were available was kinda annoying. But overall experience was great we picked up our works of art in a couple of weeks. read more

I took my daughter and my uncle, we were one of two tables at the time but it was a wait to get paint and even longer to get more paint since they are extremely pressed about giving you too much paint. They weren't very attentive which would be fine if they didn't give only a couple colors of paint at a time. We weren't offered stencils or paint pens. Then we were told 3 to 4 weeks before we could pick up our items which I thought was a pretty long wait. When I called in to check on our items I was asked to wait. The phone wasn't placed on hold rather just set down so I could hear everything. When she was done assisting the guest she forgot about me and I wanted 15min before hanging up. When I tried calling back it was a busy signal because the phone was left off the hook. After a total of 40min and repeatedly calling back there was finally an answer. The girl working offered not apology for the wait or forgetting about me and stated you got a text sent to you so yes it's ready. Customer service was very disappointing all around especially for an experience you'd hope to have a higher level of customer care. We won't be back especially if you charge as much as you do, are skimpy with the art supply's and have poor costumer service. read more

My friend and I went in on 10/21 as a walk in around 6:30pm. We thought it would be enough time since they close at 8pm. The employee, Giselle was super rude. At first she had just mentioned that they were gonna close soon and that if we didn't finish, we'd have to take it home and come back at a later day. That wasn't a problem at all, we picked small ceramics to try to finish as soon as possible. The employee failed to explain anything to my friend, she just had an attitude telling us it would not be enough coats and that that's why she told us they were gonna close. From my knowledge, they close at 8, not 7pm. We got done and paid before 7:30pm but not without the employee huffing and puffing for us to finish. I don't know what makes her so unhappy but projecting it onto a customer isn't what she needs to do. I'd recommend the riverside location 100x more than this place. At least those girls are attentive and nice to customers read more

As a family, we frequently visit Color Me Mine studios all over with the Santa Monica and Tyler Mall locations being our favorite. My daughters 8th birthday event at Legoland was canceled so I decided to stop by the Redlands Studio to pick up a few items for the at home DIY kit. The young lady who helped out was friendly but the older short guy working there was a complete nuisance. I was shown the bottle sizes for the to go kit and was very pleased with the size and opted to purchase extras for our at home birthday paint party after being shown those sizes. While waiting for the kit to be assembled, the two employees started whispering back and forth about the paint kit bottle sizes in which the short male employee advised the young lady to use smaller bottles which were not shown to me "because the ones that were presented would utilize too much paint." She ended up ignoring him and proceeding to assemble the kit but then he brought out there smaller bottles. I asked if he would be using those and he said yes because they ran out of the sizes that he had just shown me and that I had paid for. I asked for him to me over the smaller sizes from my total as I wouldn't be paying for something different than what was just shown to me. At that time, he states that he can't do that because Color Me Mine doesn't issue refunds. Keep in mind, they hadn't even started filling any of the bottles yet. He was very rude and unprofessional. I asked for the owners contact information and was told that they didn't have it. I ended up waiting for my order but was very unhappy with the experience as well as being forced to purchase items under false pretenses and then being denied a refund for the extras that I paid for and wanted to remove prior to that portion of the kit being assembled. This has been the worst customer service experience that I have ever witnessed at a Color Me Mine and I won't be returning. I wasted my time and almost $200.00 bucks on an establishment that doesn't even deserve a second look. As far as ratings go, I would give this place 1 star. I also wouldn't be surprised if this place doesn't survive the pandemic. When you treat people like that, you lose customers. Being rude as well as providing poor customer service, isn't a luxury organizations can afford in the current financial climate. read more

Apparently the goal is to offer as little paint as possible. Also selections radically down from a visit ten years ago. Attendant was not attentive at all, and very restrictive. It wasn't really possible to "create" anything attractive or pleasing due to virtually no paint. Not sure what the point even was.... Huge shopping center/parking lot! Not too far off the freeway, and easy eateries nearby. Right next to a frozen yogurt place as a great treat after an afternoon fun painting our ceramics. Tons of items to pick from, vases, plates, piggy banks and other figurines, butterflies, Disney themed, etc. Enter, choose your design/figurines Staff help you choose your colors by number. You can look at the palette on the table you're seated, to choose the end-result color. Staff gives you a white ceramic painter's palette they'll put your colors onto, and number them to remember. Tons of paint brushes, sponges, stencils, etc. Water mug to help keep your tools and station clean Once you're finished, they label and take your items away to be fired in the kiln at a later time. You'll pay afterwards, for the figurines individual prices, and the sitting/painting fee. They've even sent a free painting day coupon once I joined their mailing liast. Just return within 5-7 days after our items have been fired in the kiln. Such a fun activity to do with the kids, from a toddler to the older, including adults. read more

I went to color me mine the first week of April, I took my niece and it was our first time there. Two ladies were working and they made the experience very enjoyable. I went today on a date with my husband because I liked it so much. AWFUL experience. We had a lady help us by the name of Alora (spell check A-Laura) and she was unpleasant from the jump. We walked in, poorly greeted, seemed as if she didn't want to help. Almost as if we bothered her. We proceeded to pick out our items and painted. About 20th minutes in, two ladies walked in(Caucasian and older) and the vibe was so different. They were greeted with a pleasant "hello hello" and treated well. Will not be returning. read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. We came in today (a Wednesday) and picked out our pieces, which have the prices clearly marked. They also told me the studio fees up front before we even picked our pieces. This wasn't the first time we had been here either so the cost was not only expected but explained to us before we even picked our pieces. The girls that worked there were very helpful and checked on us often. They refilled my kids paint whenever they needed it and were very pleasant and happy. They also had let us know when we arrived that their kiln is down and it would take extra time to fire our pieces. No big deal and I appreciated them letting us know right away. Had to make 2 visits this past week to complete our pieces. Each time the staff were exceptional. The owner we met on our first visit was super nice and helpful. She gave us great insights and direction on how to paint. Anything you needed or questions that needed to be answered were taken with the utmost care and information.
