Pottery paint night with the family

A new spot to paint pottery in Palm Springs. We enjoyed having a large variety of pottery and the color palette options on point. Thank you Fire up Pottery for having a friendly and cozy shop to create good memories with my family.

What I liked the most , No rush, you absolutely feel like you're at your own studio and if can't finish your project in one visit, you simply leave it safely at the cart with the other unfinished projects and come back during studio hours to continue painting until it's completed. I LOVE that concept!basically you paint at your own time during studio hours. They provide everything, paints, brushes, etc you just pay for your project of choice. I love this place highly recommended for a date night, girls date night, solo time, any event you can think of, groups of 6 or more require reservations. Ceramic painting, canvas, candles and so much more. I'll definitely be going back over the next few days to finish my very detailed skull! Recently moved from Texas and this is one of my new favorite places. Thank you One Spot, you got a new regular

I had an amazing time at The Hot Spot in 4S Ranch!!…read more I took my friend for her birthday and we had a blast. A fun, creative art workshop where you can pick from a variety of options from painting pottery to making candles to building your own garden pot. The prices are clearly written on the item and it's all inclusive (the item, all materials, and use of their facility) so no additional fees other than tax. Most items were between $20-35. The owner was friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of free parking in the large shared lot. You're allowed to bring your own drinks and food as well. We opted to make candles and it was really fun. You start with picking out your glassware, then cutting up the colored wax pieces you want to use and fill them in your glassware, then choosing which glitter color and scent you want. They pour hot wax to mold it all together and the candles ready to go within 15 mins. A great activity for all ages including adults. This would be a great option for any type of celebration, date night, hang out with friends, or spending time with your kids. There's something for everyone.

Gretchen let him choose what he wanted to make, then guided him through each step, resulting in an adorable Christmas tree that could also functions as a night light. Gretchen also did a fantastic job of asking thoughtful questions to give him the space to explore his creativity, while still offering support. It was such a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

It was a time our life was disrupted and things were very hard for my son. He loves art and we tried 29PCC in hopes it would bring him joy and it brought us so much more. We are now living much farther away but make the 1.5 hr trip back for art class when we can. Just last night my son said, "Mommy, I miss Ms. Gretchen!" And I figured it was time to leave a review! Ms. Gretchen has a beautiful way of letting him be him, fully. My son is level 1 autistic, plus very shy at times because of lack of socialization due to a rare disease that keeps him in the house a lot. But when with Ms. Gretchen, none of behaviors are challenging, none of his behaviors need to be adapted - she is so loving and accepting in a way that allows him to feel cared for amd safe. To love and care from a distance in the way that she does is such a strong quiet power and we are grateful to know and to have the opportunity to continue returning to 29 Palms Creative Center. Also, the entire place is a gorgeous adventure. I find something new and delightful to look at every time we go. Forever grateful

I was welcomed in by one of the shops owners who promptly asked me if I was there for the Mayor's Birthday... If you are like me and prefer one-of-a-kind service ware, make your way up the mountain and peruse their offerings. I got this neat garlic grater that is so beautiful just grate the Garlic and then pour the olive oil into the same dish Voilà your good to go! They also offer pottery classes here as well. One item I wanted to purchase but refrained was the candle that had the scent of rain after it's initial descent on the earth Petrichor - there were 2 choices one with pine forest scent and one with wild flowers... they come in lovely pottery urns (not very large). You walk in and the employee will give you a run down on the process. If you want to take your ceramic home the same day, you can use acrylic paint, if you don't mind waiting you can choose to glaze it and there is a $5 firing fee. We chose to do glaze and wait a 1-2 weeks and they texted us when it was ready. (Only took a week) In terms of inventory, they have cute Knick knack ceramics you can make or kitchenware like plates, bowls, coasters, etc. I also saw people painting canvases so you really do have a lot of options if you're looking for a fun craft day. Pro tip: do multiple layers if you're gonna do glaze. I'd recommend at least 3, but 4 or 5 if you have the time.
