My wife and I ended up spending about $85 total, which we thought was reasonable for a couple of hours of entertainment and a personalized keepsake to take home. It took us over an hour to finish painting our ceramics, and we genuinely had a great time. They accept both reservations and walk-ins, but I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to go on the weekend. Myself and my two daughters (ages 6 and 4) came in to paint something for Mother's Day. The girls painted their projects pretty quickly but the staff working at the time was so kind to give them coloring pages and colored pencils to entertain them while I tried to finish mine up. The staff was super friendly and helpful through the whole process, my girls enjoyed them selves and even gave the young woman working their pictures because they liked her so much. Was told when we walked in that the pieces might not be glazed in time for Mother's Day but in fact they are ready 4 days early. We had a party here this past weekend for our child. With the party package it was supposed to include two helpers during the party (18% gratuity was charged). They explained that they needed to write the numbers on the paint tray and how many layers to paint in order to achieve a good coat, but they never came back to ask if they needed more paint. I basically was asking the kids and filling their paint trays. This was for 16 kids, with 130+ tip. For that amount I was expecting someone to be on top of everything. Besides that, the space was clean but didn't have a Bathroom for customers (employees only). When you are having a party it's be nice not to have to leave and go to the food court just to use the bathroom. read more

Me and my friend were looking for something fun to do and came across this through Yelp. The price was really good, it's a $10 service fee which includes their materials and then just add that to the ceramic that you want to paint on. Ceramic pieces vary in price, really small items are about 10-20$ and then the bigger ones are about 20-30$. Overall it was a fun experience, we were given about 2.50 hours to paint and we just walked in. Although I would recommend setting a reservation because this place does get busy, we just got lucky because we came at 2pm on a Sunday, a time when they weren't as busy. Only thing I would say is that you're on your own when it comes to customer service, so prepare to get your own paint and your own brushes as it's a very self serve type of style. Stopped in as a walk in on a Tuesday at 1pm the entire shop was empty with only one table being used by two people there was two girls working one was super aggressive and a bit rude she went by name silver. When I asked for more colors she pointed from the project she was painting and told me to grab some myself which is fine but the store was dead and as much as I'm spending customer service would've been kinda nice. I took my mother into the store to do a art project the raw pieces of clay before they fire them were so expensive!!! I could not believe they wanted $42 for a bowl then you pay $10 for a fee to use their paint that's $52 + taxes on that you're paying $60 for a bowl that you could go to target and buy for seven dollars!!! unbelievable prices!!!!!! I do realize that you are customizing, etc., however the prices are way out of line. The store was completely empty when we walked in, not one soul was sitting there painting, and I understand why!!!! We walked out... I told the lady standing there that the prices were high and she says "yes everybody says that" and I said are you communicating this to the manager???? What a shame... One of the projects I wanted to do was a spoon rest for my stove., at the store plus all the fees it would be $30, I just purchased one for $2.99, from the HGTV design "Magnolia" line at Target!! My group of friends have a tradition where we all paint ceramic mugs for each other, and I recently decided I would paint a mug for one of my friends in this group. I had never been to a pottery painting shop before and wasn't sure what to expect on pricing, rules, or how the process worked. When I came in, the staff happily explained the process: you choose your piece (they have many pieces available at a range of different prices, but each item is labeled so you know how much it will be. The mug I choose was marked at 18 dollars). Then there will be an additional studio fee (for an adult, it is currently $8 per painter). I know some shops charge an hourly fee, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn this studio fee is currently not an hourly one, you pay it only once and you can take as much time painting your piece as you need (I was even offered that if I needed to come back and finish the next day, I could). Certainly affordable if you are just doing one piece, and still reasonably priced for families or groups. (This does also seem to be somewhere where gratuities to the staff are appropriate, so do keep this in mind when thinking about the price). The staff are knowledgeable about the process, the materials, and the best techniques for the desired artistic results. They also remain present and available if you need to ask any questions during the process. I do not have children, but there were other families around, and the staff are friendly and helpful with the kids. I would definitely say this is popular with families and children, but you could also go as an adult and still be very comfortable and have a good time. read more
