This is a really cute spot with so many options to choose from on what to make. After choosing what you will be painting, you choose a table and staff will give directions on how to pick your paint colors. I do feel like they could do a better job explaining as they don't explain the random sponge on your table and they also do not walk around to see when you need to refills as we had to call them every time to get refills, which at times felt like they were bothered by. Anyway, we got there when it opened at 11am on a Saturday and within 40 minutes it really started filling up. They even had to turn away some people so I would definitely suggest making reservations when you want to go. I wish the colors were more expansive, however they have enough to get the job done. The colors look very different painting than they do when they dry so you have to just take their word for it when they say it appears as a different color once completed! We had a great time. Staff were very friendly and attentive, selection was great and we received our items before we expected.

They have a selection of pottery that varies in prices. The $10 per person covers the paint and materials to paint. The pieces you paint are variously priced. They placed us at the table next to the fridge. We were asked to move twice to where our entire table was within one foot of the refrigerator where i know we would have just been asked to move again so instead we left. Wasted $30..no one asked how they could fix it or if we wanted a refund. Will never come here again. read more

FUN. Came here to do a little something different with my friend and her 11 year old daughter. We arrived right at opening time on a Sunday and SO glad we were early birds as by the time we left the place was really really busy. Basically you pick a piece, pick your paint and have fun. You leave your piece there and they glaze/fire it so you pick it up 5 days later. Not sure what mine looks like. I can tell you that you could spend hours here if you are super into perfection and pick an intricate piece like I did by accident. Cost is okay -- the pieces were a bit on the high side in my opinion but given this is a business with overhead and you are using their paint, etc. I totally get it. I guess they have groupon's going quite often for parties of 2 or 4 which would make the fun super affordable all things considered. Terrible experience! Lady in the picture - who would not give her name- was beyond rude and could care less about customers. Threatened to call the police on us if we didn't leave "her" store. She wanted 8 of us to sit and paint at a table made for 6! Yup! All while we were the only customers in the store. Very disappointing. What was supposed to be a fun experience for my mothers birthday turned into us being treated like crap by this person. Her coworker wouldn't even come out of the back room. First visit, had a blast on my day date with my daughter. Color Me Mine is a nice relaxing place, plus, you get to mall people watch if you sit at the window. It was hard trying to pick just ONE thing to paint & a lot of different colors to choose from. You get five different colors to start with but can get more at any time. It is $10 per person (16 & up) to paint. That covers costs of paint, brushes, etc. Then the cost of the item you choose. Plus tax. There is also a tip jar, no matter what, put a buck or two in there. It's not going to hurt you ;) It takes a few days for your item to 'bake' so you will have to come back to pick it up. The guy who helped us out was super awesome. Wish I got his name. My son and I had a wonderful time last weekend. We attended during the anniversary event so the studio fee was only $1. We chose to paint small plates to hang on our dining room wall. I was impressed at one of the female employees paying special attention to a disabled senior female guest; she made sure someone would look after her when she left at the end of her shift. This is a really fun activity for kids and adults alike. I've been here a few times and used a Groupon on my most recent visit. Most of the staff are really helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you create the piece you envision. There is one young gent who was working during my last visit, and he wasn't very attentive or helpful at all. Then again, I had been in before so I knew my way around with the supplies and didn't require much help. It would be five stars if not for the prices. I'm not sure how people can afford to take their kids here. To paint a small mug, it's about $30, because you have to pay your studio fee and the cost of the piece you're painting. I'd like to do a big doggy treat jar or platter at some point, but that would probably run you $40-$50. Even with a Groupon, we still paid $43 or so to paint two mugs. read more

SO much fun!!! Color Me Mine is a great way to spend an afternoon, anywhere from an hour to four hours. They have tons of pottery options to paint and every holiday they get special pottery for that specific holiday. Around Valentine's Day they had the most adorable heart shaped items, plates, penguins, cups, bowls, and more more more! The first time I went we spent three hours hand painting items. I made a really cool dog treat jar customized with my puppy's name on it. The next time I went I made personalized Christmas tree ornaments for family and friends. This place is so much fun! I used to frequent a similar place in Phoenix, so when I moved down here, I was excited to find another place to relax and paint. The staff is usually very helpful, and ready to answer questions. It can get very busy some days, and there aren't always enough staff members to assist everyone at the same time. (I try to avoid weekends; it gets packed!) The pieces can get pricey, but it's a lot of fun, and very rewarding to create something all your own. You can sit and paint as long as you want for the studio fee, whether you spend all day working on a single piece, or do a few pieces. And if you run out of time, you can have them hold the item so you can come back another day to finish it. (I believe they only charge half the studio fee for the finish-up visit.) They have a calendar full of specials, classes, and events. Overall, it's a great place to go, especially if you have kids. read more

Consistently a Great Time! We have been coming to Color Me Mine (CMM) for years and have always had great experiences. Time and again over the years, the staff and owner have been so helpful and accommodating. Tonight was another ten out of ten! I had signed my son and I up for the "Special Needs Night," (he has autism) that was held this evening and it was perfect! The two ladies who helped us were awesome. While we were there, they were very attentive to us and the other clients that were there, so patient! Thank you! Finally, an additional shout-out to Lisa. This was an after-hours event that we pre-registered for where the studio fees were waived and we only paid for our pieces. Beforehand, Lisa was so obliging. I wandered into the shop, planning to paint food dishes for my two dogs. I recall seeing something on the website saying that pieces were between $10-$20, but when I got there, that didn't seem to be the case. I found a few things for under $20, like salt and pepper shakers and small plates, but the dog dishes were $28 each! Ok, I figured, I'll try a cookie jar. Nope, $38! PLUS a $9 studio fee on top of that. Certainly not what I was expecting. Think I'll pick up two dog dishes at the pet store, a set of paints at the craft store, and spend less than half the money. read more

I've been going to Color Me Mine ever since I was a kid. When I found out there was one here in Tucson, I dragged my husband with me more that a few times. I've created tons of pieces. Mostly those I can eat out of. They make sturdy dishes and are not toxic whatsoever. The oven process glazes all the paint making it nice and pretty like any other dish wear you would find in a store. Though, they can be quite heavy and I wouldn't recommend for a small child to handle directly. They have an array of supplies and colors to choose from. Even stencils, brushes, and sponges. Pencils, pens, and sharpies are available to pre-map your design if necessary. The staff is always helpful and will help you if you mess up in any way. Usually all mess ups are easy to fix which makes this great for children. They also have tons of other pieces to choose from, way too many to list. I recommend you walk in one day just to explore what they have which they always allow and will help you despite how busy. They also have hair driers to speed up the process if you only have so much time to spare but I really recommend you plan on making this a 3/4 hour visit. My visit today was over 3 hours and I did a simple sponge water color design with little petal features on a cereal bowl. If it's your first time, the staff explains everything to you and everything is really easy. One more note, it can be pricy! I recommend you check their website for promotions that are going on. Like every Tuesday is buy one studio fee and get one free. Students also get a discount as well. I also believe there is a pajama night for the kids! There's a studio fee which is a flat rate to access to all of their supplies and tables. Then there's the amount of the piece you choose. So if bringing the whole family, be prepared to spend. Though, it does make for a fun past time especially during Tucson monsoon season at least just once! read more

My friends and I went to Color Me Mine for the first time. Lauren and Emily were so kind and helpful. We showed up kind of late but they were totally accommodating and so kind. Lauren even offered one of my friends water when they said they were thirsty. Prices are not as expensive when you use Groupon. I was so excited to take my kids because I had bought a groupon and we live on a very tight budget. They had a discount on sitting fees the day we went in but after we painted we found out because I had a groupon that I had to pay full price for sitting fees.(why different prices for different ages? A seat is a seat no mater how old you are)Total fees with my groupon ended up costing $90. (Which would have been less without the groupon)Such a rip off!!! There was a company called paint yourself silly that didn't have all these extra fees, I'm going to see if they are still around so I can help them drum up more business and take it away from this place. read more
