I think the last time I was in a Color Me Mine was in the late 90s so I was excited to bring my 5 year old niece here. She had already been here for a classmate's birthday so we didn't need much guidance. We were greeted by staff who welcomed us into grabbing a table and to look around their stock of ceramic pieces. Prices are at the bottom and it seems that everything that I have picked up was in the $30 range. There are so many things to choose from - mugs, plates, figurines, banks, home good like a platters, utensil rests, cake stands. In the shelves to the left when you enter are holiday and seasonal pieces. There is a color palette of what the glazes would look like after they were fired up. What you see in your palette will be lighter than what they would look like when they are fired up. Pieces will then be picked up within 7 days. On a Saturday, this location is pretty busy. (It makes me happy to see so many people being creative.) While we were there, a couple of birthday parties took place and every seat seemed to be filled. I brought snacks and water for my niece and her tablet in case she needed a break from painting. Prices include a painting service fee and the price of the ceramic pieces you choose to paint. The painting service fee is priced fairly as staff has to glaze the pieces and then fire them up. They also clean up the stations and materials you used during your session. Snacks are available for around $2. - So far, this location has the least expensive studio fee. ($12 while locations in LA are $14 and $15) - This location offers more events and discounted nights/days in studio fees. - On average, this location has one of the shorter wait time. (7 days here... average of 10 days in other locations. - This location is one of smallest. - This location has less ceramics from what I have noticed. There are still awesome choices to choose from. Celebrated one of our friend's child's birthday party here at Color Me Mine in Valencia, Town Center Drive on a Saturday afternoon. We had the back area all to ourselves. The party consisted of 15 people both children and adults. The lady who was in charge of the party and instructed on the painting of the ceramics was excellent. She was great with the children as well as adults. In the back area where the children painted was an area that the catering food was placed along with the cake and goodie bags. There were also balloons and a personalized TV birthday banner. The children painted for a good 2 hours. The party lasted about 3 hours since food was catered in. Our friends didn't have to clean up since Color Me Mine does the set up and clean up of the birthday party. We received our ceramics from the birthday party within a week. It was hand delivered to us by our friends and it was properly packaged by Color Me Mine. Thank you Color Me Mine at Valencia Town Center for a fun birthday party. read more

I haven't been here in several years but recently came in with my family for some fun painting together. They have a good assortment of unpainted items to choose from and have a selection of seasonal prices that rotate in and out. The staff was helpful getting set up and explained good techniques for getting the best results. One thing our group notice was that the numbered colors on the sample color palate plate, didn't line up with the numbered colors on the paint supply counter. So be sure to take a good look before just grabbing them. We enjoyed our time and were happy to see this place is still around. read more

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember ! This is, without a doubt, my favorite Color Me Mine location. I remember coming to birthday parties here in elementary school. I even have a bowl I made here that I've been using since I was in high school (I'm in my 20s now!!). I know there are a ton of Color Me Mine locations, but the staff and the weekly/ monthly events they hold, like pj night and Color Me Kids, really make this place feel like a community. Gift that counts. Located in a shopping plaza, parking is easy to find, and there is a parking structure nearby. Made a reservation day before visiting. Brought two kiddos to do a mother's day gift. Upon arrival, the staff helps you get checked in and your table ready. Next, you pick the piece to paint. The supplies are plentiful and they have samples for you to see how the work will turn out after firing the glaze. Staff there are very friendly and helpful. They constantly check up on you to see if you need any help or have questions. Once your work is done, they will call you within 7 days to pick up your masterpiece. The workers were very helpful, nice, and explained everything we needed to know. Youre sitting in a tight area and there's not too much background noise to make it an intimate date night experience, but it kinda works. Not especially cheap either, I think i left with a flower vase and margaritas glass at around $120. I will say that it was super cute for the date it was and we have keepsakes. I called first just to ask if it was busy and if they would be able to accommodate me and my daughter if we walked in or if they preferred that I made a reservation. They were busy but had space so we sat right away after arriving. We spent a couple of hours there and the staff were attentive and always recognized when my daughter wanted paint she couldn't reach and instantly helped. There's no limit to how many colors you can use on your project. More pallets and brushes are available by the self-serve paint area along with other items you can use like stamps and painters tape. Making an online reservation was a smooth process. It is located within the mall so close parking can be a bit difficult to find. You can choose to be seated outside or inside, depending on your party size. Our group was warmly greeted when we arrived, and we were told to select what figurines we would like to paint on. Once that was done; an associate came to the table to explain how we select colors, get the paint, borrow tools, and the best way to apply to the figurine. Our group was pretty meticulous ....and also we chose some big figurines...so 2 hours was the minimum amount of time we needed. When applying the color, you wonder if you chose the right paint but I can promise you that once the figurine is processed, it'll turn to the color you expected. Overall, it was fun. The only concern was how close the seating was to other tables and that some of the brushes we get to borrow are pretty old and wonky. But it's an affordable experience, given the tools we get to use and the cute figurines. read more

A great mother-daughter bonding activity! I brought my daughter here when she was in elementary and during her summer break from high school (!), she asked to visit this place. This place never disappoints - we picked out items (plant holders for we have made so many bowls and mugs but I am a softie for personalized items). You pay $10 for studio fee plus the cost of the item you choose to paint. If you did not finish, you can return for no additional studio fee. Make sure you coat it 3 times if you want it to appear darker - check out the shades on the wall as a guide if you paint once, twice or three times. They contacted us less than a week later and our items were ready for pick up. To our delight, our items looked exactly how we both envisioned it - loved this experience! read more
