I've been using CRC to develop my film for a little over 2 years now and I cannot say enough amazing things about them! They're easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to go the extra mile and help you meet your deadlines. If you ever have a question, they're a call or email away. I used to stop by to drop off my film and I was always greeted with a warm hello! Sadly, I am no longer based in NYC and miss those pleasant exchanges but their online/mailing service has been an absolute breeze. The turn around time and quality remain unmatched! Definitely use them for your film processing/scanning/printing needs!

I've been getting my disposable cameras developed here for 2+ years!!! I could not be happier with the way my film comes out, time frame they get returned in, and customer service!!! Although I wish they didn't move downtown further from me, they are worth the journey down there! I've tried other places and have never had good experiences compared to CRC!!

Will not be going here again. Dropped a 35mm film roll off and every photo had a bright purple line through them. Very bummed.

In an effort to generate incremental revenue many of the sites I frequent (NY Post, DailyMail, MLB…read moreTrade Rumors) have installed partial paywalls to sequester their best content/columnists behind a paid, members-only rope line. I get it. Quality contents costs money... meaning the days of "everything is free on the net" are coming to a resounding close. The problem is that while I frequent those sites for their entertainment value, I'm hard pressed to rationalize an extra $30 bucks a month for content that doesn't have the immediacy and credibility of those sources that I pay for willingly such as the NYT, WSJ and The Economist to name a few. It's probably fair to say that their paywall gambit counts on their advertising continuing to be placed by AdTech "bots" rather that human buyers who might consider more subjective reader engagement metrics such as overall quality of the environments and a more robust match with client objectives. Again, even though I enjoy their entertainment value, it's amazing what you can learn to live without. After a month, I barely remember that they exist. Five stars for amnesia.

I always admire The Associated Press (AP), an American not-for-profit news agency for its extensive long history founded in 1846 and numerous Pulitzer Prizes won for outstanding journalism achievement and breaking news photography. The AP keeps me well informed, well read and acutely aware of world news and events. There is no fee to access their news articles from the email links. I highly admire the "This Week in Pictures" emails which "highlights some of the most compelling images of North America, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America, Europe, Africa." Four stars for The Associated Press (AP) because the emails are plastered with too many annoying ads.

It is cool to have a free paper that will entertain you for more than 5 minutes. It just keeps you in the know of what is going on. Ads in there also for places like Barcade, tell of upcoming events East/West beer ngiht and so on. I was actually revising and looking over that very issue again earlier today. (Jan5-18, cover had a story of 48 hours with a certain rock star). That title in itself makes it blog worthy and worth an actual look at the article which was very interesting. One guy actually talked about his waking up in the morning routines of eating cinnabons then alot of other healthy crap like squash, broccoli, beats, and kale but then use of some kinds of drugs. Ironic in that he seemed like a health nut with the food he actually consumed but used drugs and abused alcohol left and right. The bar and restaurant directory in the back makes alot of Brooklyn bars seem very appealing. I have also seen a few spots in there of places us yelp eliters got to sample at one point or another like Nita Nita and Woodwork. Thanks for the Reco's guys. Oh yeah then there is a sex with the natural redhead section on the back page, it is usually very funny stuff that explicitly involves penetration and sexual operations. Personally, I best enjoyed the "Unemployment Issue" April/May 2010 as levity breaks the sadness of today's ailing economy.
