We had made a reservation error on the date of the rafting trip, and the office really went above and beyond to reschedule us for the following day. The rafting trip on the upper Colorado River was fun, exciting, and really fantastic. Our rafting guide Tanner was friendly, informative, funny, professional, and truly made the rafting trip for our family, which included two adults, a teen and a 10-year-old, an unforgettable experience. Our family of 4, with two kids aged 6 and 15 took a trip down the rapids with Colorado Rafting Company today. Everything was perfect and the highlight was our guide "Coach" (Nathan). They did an amazing job explaining things to us, making sure we were safe and prepped, answered any questions we had, and showed us where to go on the rapids. Plus they were funny!! My group went snowshoeing on Hoosier pass with Nate a few weeks back and it was a BLAST! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and let us choose our own adventure! It wasn't my first 14er, but it was my first winter ascent, and so, as a flat lander with zero avalanche or snow training, I decided to hire a guide to climb Quandary Peak. Emily was more like a coach or an escort, but that's only because it was a perfect day and nothing went wrong. The truth is, Em is a completely badass mountain chick with wicked knowledge and skills and zero ego or attitude. Pretty rare find at her level and I couldn't have been more pleased with her company on the hike. Before the hike, Dave and I had multiple conversations about the trip and what I would need to bring. He was responsive and informative. Full thumbs up on this company all the way around! BTW, tip your guides. When nothing goes wrong they've earned it more than any other time! read more

Had an incredible climbing day. First day since before pandemic started, first time ever outside, and the guide (Sean) did an incredible job making me feel safe, calm, comfortable, and supported. The location was spectacular! Sean explained the differences between indoor and outdoor, talked me through outdoor etiquette, and guided me from top roping to lead climbing in a half day. They supply you with what you need and discuss with you by phone beforehand - helmet, belay device, hiking sticks (the approach is no joke steep! Wear your boots!), helmet, quick draws, etc. Also, because of the times, appreciated the covid safe protocols (separate cars, vax status, probably would have taken other precautions if asked). I'm an extra cautious climber and am very picky about who I climb with. This was such a great experience. Definitely recommend! read more

Yes and Yes! We did a package that included white water rafting one day and hiking the next day. So much fun, it was like hanging out with your friends (less the adult beverages). The rafting trip included a lot of good conversation (thank you Tanner, you are the man) and fun, not limited to jumping off a cliff (no worries it was not too high and optional). The hike was also a lot of fun and challenging. Our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable about the mountain and the hiking trails. We had an option of several different hikes and choose one that went above the tree line. Again, the conversation was good and Graham understood mountaineering and our abilities for more or less hiking. Of course, we made it to the top and Graham did a great job of capturing photos to document. I would do this again in a second and would recommend it to anyone with all skill levels. Well done and not forget the tasty lunch provided on the rafting trip. Spot on! read more
