Both of them are incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and they've always encouraged me to check out their barbershop. For about a year, I kept putting it off with excuses since I already had a go-to salon. But in early 2026, I finally decided it was time to check it out and support his business the same way he supports the community. The shop is conveniently located near Huntington Drive and 1st Street. Parking is a big plus--there's street parking in front, a lot across the street, and additional parking in the back. You can enter from either side, but I recommend going in through the front, especially for your first visit. It gives you a great first impression of the shop, with all the memorabilia displayed throughout. Some of it looks donated, and overall, the place has a lot of character. It's a cool environment whether you're waiting or just taking it all in. Steve takes both walk-ins and appointments, and the customer service from both him and Sheila is consistently excellent. I've been there about three times since the beginning of 2026, and each visit has been relaxing, efficient, and professional. If it's your first time getting a haircut there, you've got options--you can come in knowing exactly what you want or trust Steve to guide you. He really understands his craft. He considers how your hair grows and your personal style, then offers suggestions and explains how different styling choices will look. That level of attention makes a difference. One unexpected bonus is the massager he uses after the haircut--definitely a nice touch and something I look forward to each visit. Price-wise, it's about average compared to other barbershops and salons. But when you factor in the quality of service, the attention to detail before, during, and after the cut, the added extras like the massage, the conversation (if you prefer), and the easy parking, it becomes a great value overall. I would definitely recommend Steve and Sheila to anyone looking for a quality haircut and a great experience. Bonus: They even had a puppy there the last time I visited!

Once you're signed in though, the booking process is smooth and straightforward. A standard haircut is $50, but there's a first-time customer special for $40, which is a nice touch. When my appointment came, I met Douglas--super chill guy with a private setup inside a salon. I asked for his recommendation, and he just went to work. I was honestly so happy with the results. I've definitely had plenty of amazing haircuts in the past but my more recent ones aren't the same like the ones before. The fades here are pretty decent compared to most barbers, so you don't have to worry about a "bad" fade. However, my recurring issue was the shape of my haircut. I found that it was the sides were angled inwards toward my head rather than straight up as seen in picture 2. (I included pictures so y'all know what I mean ) My head fits a more "box" look which means the sides should be vertical as seen in the first pic. The haircut isn't necessarily bad by any means, but it isn't quite what I wanted. In the end, my advice for anyone who wants to try out this place is to be specific with what you want. You may have some growing pains when figuring this out but I feel that it would help you here a ton.
