Such a BEAUTIFUL place. It's up in a mountain, you walk out your front door and all you can see/hear is the roar of this small but mighty stream. I couldn't believe the views up and around this location. Cabin was soooooooo cute! All new appliances and check in was self serve they text instructions before arrival which I loved! Everything I can say about this location is that we loved it! 20ish mins away from Denver, about 10 to Red Rock! Definitely 10/10 will be coming back!!! read more

The Cabin sits just off the Hwy, on the River just minutes from town, hiking, parks, food, etc. Our Cabin was the end unit. Comes with an assigned parking space. The Cabin has a cute front porch to sit and listen to the river or BBQ. Inside: Fireplace (Bring wood), Double & Twin bed, kitchenette with a coffee pot, pot & pans, etc & bathroom. This place was awesome I just wish we had firewood but everywhere was sold out of it. My partner and I stayed here because we wanted the cabin feel and it didn't disappoint. We had none of the luxuries like a resort had but that was the best part. It had a huge fireplace (no firewood though), and a huge king bed. Dang, I just wish we had more time to explore this place. It had a full kitchen with full cookware and cutlery. The bathroom was small but boy did that hot water come out super quick! I enjoyed this cabin very much and we had an excellent time. Cleanliness is something missing from this place. If you want to pay alot of money for a cabin that is un-cleaned, then go to Bear Creek Cabins. It is located in a beautiful area along the creek, so it is unfortunate that they can not keep up to the standards of hotel cleanliness. Toilettes un-cleaned, with urine still on the floor from the previous guest and hair everywhere from the previous guest. It was so gross and nasty. There was blood stains on the comforter, again from some previous guest. Unacceptable. You could tell their staff is not qualified to clean as they themselves looked like they just woke up after a heavy night of drinking and drugs. read more

We stayed here because it was conveniently close to Red Rocks amphitheater. There was no working shower in the cabin at all.

They have a 2 week cancellation policy buried in the contract, best of all they interpret it as all or nothing. They wanted me to cancel with no refund so they could rebook it. Also the contact info on the contract and the website are different. All in all, legal but shady. read more

The location of these cabins is beautiful. The sound of the creek water moving makes for very peaceful surroundings. The cabin itself was very clean and had all the kitchen supplies we needed. The only thing it lacked which we felt is absolutely ESSENTIAL to a cabin is..... firewood! No firewood?! Crazy! We didn't like having to go to Safeway to buy firewood which is the reason for the 4 star review instead of 5 stars. read more

Had such a great experience! You cannot beat the scenery and the location is perfect. Evergreen is fun with cute shops and good places to eat - also close to Denver. We stayed for a girls weekend and it was the perfect place and had everything we needed. All the staff we encountered were so great and helpful. Can't wait to go back!! read more

I made a reservation here for 2 weeks in October. This is a very slow rental time for evergreen. Covid began remerging and my job (trail)in Jefferson courts was continued until March. This was due to covid and out of my hands. I asked for my reservation to be moved to a future date. They were willing to move it but insisted on charging me for a "no-show" I explained the situation with covid and they were not willing to work with me at all. They don't answer their phone nor return emails for days at a time. I know this is something that others have complained about and I should have paid attention to the other reviews. No office staff on duty. I sent a friend by to preview the property and the office was aways empty. I moved my future rentals to a near-by cottage type motel and they have been more than willing to be transparent and flexible due to covid. read more

Rented one of these cabins last week. The place stank so bad I couldn't even sleep. It smelled like rotten eggs and mold mixed together. I tried to tell them and asked for another night in a clean room and got no response. Just really poor business practice. I did pay almost $190 for one night of restless stench. The Good: There is a babbling brook (Bear Creek) running through the property that is soothing and relaxing to sit beside and ponder the meaning of life and just appreciate the beauty of nature. There are picnic tables with charcoal only grills for those who want to do some outdoor cooking. Cabin 8 was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need (except an air conditioner which we did not need). Bruce and Jayne are delightful people who are very knowledgeable about the area, friendly, and engaging. The bed is really comfortable and they provide extra blankets in case it gets really cold (it did not). Kathryn is also very amicable and accommodating. She does a great job and is a sweet soul who works very hard. The Bad: There wasn't anything bad about our stay, the locale, or the accommodations per se. However, it is important that you know that the CO 74 is a busy road and that the cabins are on a bend. The white noise from the creek completely cancels out the majority of the white noise from the traffic so you will hardly notice it. Another thing to note that was not clear to us when we booked was that the cabins are all duplex style. There is a shared wall between each cabin and the walls do not do very much to buffer the sounds of the other guests when the opposite side is occupied. (Cabins 7 and 8 share a wall. The cabins are in duplex pairs.) The bathrooms are teensy weensy but sufficient unto our needs for bathing and jetting out the door. Excellent water pressure and very clean and updated. Everything in the cabin is made from logs with the exception of the stone fireplace. The cabins are rustic and there are mild drafts that cause the windows and cabinets to pop open. Just make sure you have all the locks firmly in place and you will be fine. (There is no deadbolt on the door to Cabin 8; only a knob lock.) The room heater is pretty old but it works like gangbusters. We were here in the Spring at the beginning of the early thaw so the ground in the parking areas was very loamy and wet. This property is an EXCELLENT location for large groups who want to do some adventuring. There is so much within easy driving distance to do and see. We really had a wonderful time and would recommend it overall. read more

This has been the most spiritual getaway I have ever experienced, I have been 4 times in the last year. Spending my spiritual time with God, I have seen miracles and blessings all around me. This place is incredible! I give it 10 stars. I usually go to spend time alone with God and reflecting on my life. Also all my stays fell on special days that I needed to get away and be alone. Like on the anniversary I lost my husband, his birthday and our wedding anniversary plus a whole week to work on a book I had been writing for a long time. The inspiration and the quiet and gorgeous atmosphere help me to actually finish my book the week and is already on its way to being published. This place is so special and see glimpses of heaven every wear. I so wish I could live there and it's cheaper to stay there then a regular hotel. I keep the windows open just to hear the creak that is so calming and serene. I never met the old owner but Susan and Bruce are amazing!!! I just can't say enough about thins place and am going back for a 3 night stay this next weekend. I only live 30 miles away so it's no problem going spur of the moment if I need some alone time. Would love to spend another week to work on a new book I started. This is the most spiritual quiet place I've ever been and can't wait to go back and will most likely spend a few more stays over the summer. I just can't say enough about this very vey special place. We stayed in the 2X2 "Mountain Home". Very rustic, but no complaints whatsoever-very comfortable, with the Creek right outside our door. This place is absolutely fabulous. My wife and I are on our honeymoon, and went to Red Rocks to see a show. We dove from Virginia, and I had booked the cabin a few months ago. When we arrived, we were early and they asked us to give them 45 minutes, and we could check in. We went into Evergreen for a bit and came back. The property manager was pressure washing the sidewalk, and he had two dogs with him. One was a Bernese Mountain Dog, and he was awesome. He sat on the porch with us and was very photogenic! The cabin was gorgeous inside, and was everything we expected. The smell of the wood and the cozy decor really brought it home! This property sits right on Bear Creek, which is beautiful and clean. You can walk right down and put your feet in. After the show we came back and settled in. My wife really enjoyed the shower, pressure was perfect and the water temps were good. The bed was very comfortable and there was no need for A/C, as it got down to about 50 degrees (the cabins are not equipped with AC, you don't need it.) They have real coffee makers in the cabin, plus all the utensils and cookware, plus a full kitchen if you bring your own food for a long stay. Also, an entire herd of Elk was hanging around the cabins in the morning. They are very docile and almost seem to pose for pictures, and seem to co-exist well with the residents. All in all, this was a wonderful experience, and I'd encourage anyone looking for a slow-paced, scenic vacation to stay here. 10/10! It's rustic, it's beautiful and you'll appreciate it. read more

This was one of the best vacations ever due to these cabins. The location is perfect for relaxing and reconnecting to nature. The only issue were other residents that did not respect the rules and other guests by smoking cigarettes and vape pens in designated areas. There were also some late night partiers. This was a destination for relaxing and recharging. We got in some great family bonding time, and made some lasting memories. We will only consider this place for future stays in Colorado! read more

Amazing!!! I want to live here! Seriously had a hard time leaving this place. The cabin was immaculate and very well decorated. Anything you could have needed was there. Well, except AC. We went in June. It was warm in the afternoon when we returned. Asked them to leave us a fan and we were fine after. It was cool after dark and in the AM. The hot tub was great in the cool evenings. There's a SafeWay in Evergreen. Go there and get snacks or grab some food to cook outside on the grill. Don't miss the breakfast! It was absolutely divine. Everything on the menu was great. We got it delivered and ate outside on our porch. It was hot off the grill even with a chilly morning walk the owner made to deliver it. The wifi was strong in the cabin. Cell service in the area is really spotty. We had neighbors next to us, but never heard them. We did hear the kids at the park next door in the AM. Otherwise it was a quiet stay. Overall, I absolutely loved this place. Not a thing I would change! read more

Best place to stay in and around Evergreen period! The property is simply amazing. Beautiful views and sounds with wildlife all around. I am a nursing student doing clinicals in Evergreen, and coming here one night a week for six weeks. The owner went out of his way to welcome us and even worked in a great deal for the multiple nights. I can say enough just how great this place is. If you are coming to Evergreen or the surrounding areas; put this place at the top of your list for places to stay. read more

there was black mold all over the cabin and in the bathroom, we had to leave in the middle of the night around 12am my mom started to not feel so good. It is very pretty and cozy but I would inspect the cabin before hauling all your belongings in there.They should check their cabins thoroughly. Why rent a BORING hotel room....when this gem exists? Quaint cabin rooms facing a babbling stream in the mountains. A room with a fireplace, a tiny kitchen and a small but well-constructed and clean bathroom. Just a mile away from The Little Bear....so we could have all the Halloween party fun we wanted, just a short cab ride away. We did not want to go home ! The price was comparable to a regular room at a regular hotel...but the value was in the character, the abiance and sharing a porch with your neighbors...I love this place, and we will be back ! read more

We stayed here after a foma* concert at Little Bear and I was amazed (only a mile from downtown Evergreen). Our log cabin had a little kitchen with a miniature dining room table, a fireplace, and beautiful exposed beams. The window opened up to a breathtaking view of the creek bubbling just below the mountain. (The blanket of snow simply added to the gorgeous scenery). I stayed here before I moved to the area and it was the most beautiful little spot. We had a little cabin with two beds, a fireplace and small kitchen. Bathroom was a bit teeny but walking out the door into the canyon split creek bed with the welcoming adirondack chairs and picnic tables, it almost feels like being home. This place is the epitome of rustic charm! Positioned right on the creek- you can enjoy the water rippling right at your cabin door step. There are picnic tables and grill- we loved barbecuing under the stars , waterside- it was the best!! Ducks floating in the stream just added to the moment! The cabins are rustic but really really clean, comfortable, and well equipped with towels, dishes, cookware, WiFi and cable. We recently had a four day/three night family get together at the cabins. The location and scenery is great! We rented all the cabins (which are very nice) and the house was the pefect place for meals. Had it not been for Bruce, Jayne (they are without a doubt the most pompous, snobbish, arrogant people I have ever met) and the service this would have been a perfect setting and a great time. Instead it was Bruce's daily tyrade or Jayne's holier than thou attitude that will stick in our memories. In the 4 day's we were there our bed was never made, trash never taken out or even a fresh clean towel provided. I have never felt more unwelcome anywhere in my life! After reading Janice G's review I think Bruce needs to seek help, We had a similar experience with him on a daily basis. read more

My husband and I stayed here in Cabin #2 for 3 nights in June. He has an art gallery in Evergreen and was here for the annual "Weekend in the West" Show. (He had lived in CO for 35 years, prior to recently moving to CA.) The positive: the cabins are adorable and well kept and stocked with most of what you might need for 2 people. Beautiful setting! Our first night was quiet since there were only a few other people staying there.Cabins filled up over the weekend. On the last day of the Art show, we invited some close artist friends (who were also in the show) back to our cabin, and seeing how beautiful the setting was, decided to paint along a small part of the creek, at the very end of the property so no one would be disturbed. There were picnic tables full of other "paying" guests and their guests in front of our cabin, eating, drinking and smoking, having a good time. They "borrowed" our chairs off our deck and were enjoying themselves. Another area was full of people sitting around relaxing. Before we got started, we asked the people there if they would mind or be bothered by 6 of us quietly painting in a small area; not one of them objected, in fact, they enjoyed walking over to where we were and watching the artists, asking questions, etc. Negatives: After about an hour, I noticed the owners walking down towards us so I approached them with a smile and said that I hope it was fine that we invited our friends over for a bit. Whew...that started a tirade that shocked me into muteness! First, they assumed (obviously didn't recognize us from our prior conversations) that we were strangers off the street who just showed up to paint. One owner said "you can't just show up and disturb the paying guests here!" I informed him that we were paying guests and these were our friends and he said that we needed to contact him and "ask permission" first. Have you ever stayed anywhere where you had to ask permission to have guests over? I politely informed him that none of the paying guests had objected, and there were other people with friends all over the place. The 3-4 vehicles our friends drove were safely parked up on the public street so not to take up guest parking. He went on, so that everyone could hear, about how never in his 19 years has anyone done anything like this, (done what?). The most disturbing thing ws when he asked "Where are they going to the bathroom? Are they pissing in the creek?" Whoa mama! I was still in shock, so trying to alleviate some of the tension, jokingly informed them that plein air artists are used to being outside for hours without bathrooms, but if they needed to go they were welcome to use OUR bathroom. I could go on and on about his unprofessional behavior, but even now thinking about it, still shocks and upsets me. My husband and I both have worked in the hospitality business and NEVER would consider treating a customer/guest like that, especially in public. Nevertheless, I apologized over and over again and said that I would get our friends to leave. They walked away still sputtering out loud. I went up to any guests who were exposed to his tirade, apologized to them if we disturbed them. They pretty much couldn't believe what happened either and commented that they enjoyed watching. Needless to say, our trip was ruined and I couldn't wait to check out the next morning. It gets really bad when I called Jayne to inform her that we were checking out (wanting to pay with a different credit card) but no one was in the office. She said "well, Bruce is out biking so you will just have to wait for him to get back". Really? I said nevermind, and proceeded to explain further and clear the air about the incident. I mentioned that these were our good friends and didn't realize that we needed permission to have 5 friends over. Her response was, and I quote, "Those weren't your friends! They were just artists you saw at the show and invited them over." I mentioned that they didn't take guest's parking like they had accused them of, and she told us that the public street along the main drag was "their property". (Possible easement, but not owner owned.) I mentioned to her the the other guests we talked to had no objections to our being there; she said that she got calls from guests complaining and that I "intimidated them" that's why they told me that. Hmm, I am probably one of the most un-intimidating, calm, respectable people I know! She said that the "artists were going up to guests trying to sell their paintings." Truth: a few guests approached one of our friends and OFFERED to purchase her painting. These are PROFESSIONAL fine artists who have galleries; they don't have to try to sell paintings. It went on and on; didn't matter what I said, her mind was made up. Bottom line, what could have been a wonderful trip ended up a nightmare. We will never return nor will any visiting artists. read more

I'm very sad about this place...I really wanted to love it. It is beautiful and I thought the lady, Jane, was very nice...until I left! I was in the mountains and had no cell reception, when I did get cell reception, she left me a message stating that my card did not go through and I checked my bank statement and it did, also with a 50$ fee taken out . I called her back to make sure she knew I paid her and she said she did. Why didn't she call to let me know?! Then she very rudely accused me of taking one of her towels! I apologized and said, I wasn't aware that I took a towel? Still haven't seen the towel! And said my dog was on the bed, which he wasn't! She said, "I had to wash the comforter" umm, you don't wash your comforters after people leave anyway??? Gross. Keep in mind, I never said a word about the 50$ that was charged to me! I felt like a scolded child and I politely told her that my dog was not on the bed, the dog hair was from us and my suitcase, she laughed at me. So, my overall experience was very disappointing. Just stayed here to go see a concert at Red Rock Amphitheater, best place ever!! I accidentally booked for the wrong dates, but they were very quick to help me get it right! Jerry is super awesome and friendly!! I loved the creek along side of the house! We even got to meet Grizzly the mascot! Who was super friendly dog! I would highly recommend this place!! The town is a mile away which has two bars and lots of shops! First time here and I'm already trying to plan a trip back! read more

Cabins are misrepresented by the pictures as advertised. It's a shared cabin built on cement slab, the wood looks to be rotting and needs to be treated for mold. I stayed one night and felt sick the entire time I was there, and ended up leaving at 6am and instantly felt better. 10/10 would not recommend. Also no wifi, manager refused to refund. read more

It is just a little piece of heaven! The cabins are comfy and have everything you need. Just a mile to the center of town and few more blocks to Evergreen lake.
