    Custom Iron Rail - black
    Beth C.

I can't say enough good things about this company. When I was choosing the rail, the consultant spent as much time as I needed to talk out the details of the rail to ensure I'd be getting exactly what I want, and be happy with the result. They were meticulous with the fittings (tested 2x) and made adjustments as needed before final install. Corey, who did the final install, was tidy, professional, and respectful of my home. The end result is a gorgeous rail that looks like a piece of art in the house. Really beautiful!

They did an amazing job! Straight lines, professionally installed and very good attention to detail. Took about 2 months or so from estimate to install but worth the wait! Priced competitively, phenomenal work, and superb customer service. Thank you for making our stairs safe again!

Awesome company with excellent customer service and superb results. So glad we chose these folks for our new banisters. After getting our hardwood floors and stairs installed the boss/hammer/money spender (a.k.a. my wife) wanted new balusters, newel posts, and railings, and so, enter CCI. Allen, the owner, came out to our house to take measurements and go through our options. Allen was very nice and gave advice when we asked and we were very happy with the interaction. We did shop around and thought that CCI was competitive in pricing, and had good reviews and recommendations, plus Allen was very knowledgeable and nice, and so, we ended up hiring CCI for our work. We were scheduled for the work, about a 6 week wait for the start, and we waited. Kara, from CCI (who is very nice as well), gave us a call about a week out to let us know there were some scheduling concerns and if we could push the date by a week due to an employee's illness. My wife and I had already schedule time off and could not change and Kara understood our concern and had Allen call right back. In the end, Allen made good and we got our work done in an acceptable time frame. Why do I bring this up if I gave them 5 stars already? Because things do happen, which I do understand, and CCI really worked with me and I was extremely satisfied. Now for the work. WOW, is the the first word out of our mouths every time we look at the new newel posts, balusters, and rails. Chris B. was our carpenter/installer and he has an attention to detail bordering on OCD, lol. This guy is an ultimate professional: courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely patient with my questions. We could tell that he didn't just want us to be happy with the work, he wanted us to be ecstatic, and it showed through his work/artistry. Yes, a carpenter is a form of artist in my book; carpenters make a normal piece of wood into something beautiful, which Chris accomplished. Chris worked his tail off and continuously cleaned up after the work, we never had to do any pickup or cleaning once he left for the day. Pride in craftsmanship is what I saw in Chris and when I need more work done I will call CCI and ask that Chris be our carpenter/installer and you should too. In the end, we are ecstatic with the end product. Thanks CCI team and an additional thank you to Chris B. !!!!

I'm crazy about Colorado Custom Iron Works! We recently did a full house remodel and Colorado Custom Ironworks replaced five sets of railings in our house. I showed them a photo from Pinterest and they took it from there. Previously we had inexpensive black railings from Home Depot that we're installed poorly by a local handyman. From the moment Thomas and Dutch walked through the door with the new railings, I truly couldn't get over how beautiful they were or the quality, solid cast iron. Choosing Colorado Custom Ironworks was one of the best decisions we made. They were great from beginning to end and their prices are more than reasonable for the quality. Thank you Cory, Jason, Thomas and Dutch!

Allen came out to quote the job, and his prices were better than the other contractors I contracted.

Most railing companies said that they couldn't do it. MetalArc was one of the few willing to accept the challenge and the unknowns that came with it. They worked hard to understand my vision and priorities. I am very particular in what I want and don't want. They respected that and were not put off by it. They are very, very kind people. The project gave them challenges beyond their expectations, but they were patient and stuck with it each time. I am thrilled with the final result. On my end, there were a few challenges as well. I had to be extremely patient with the schedule. The project was bid at a flat rate, however, they increased it when they had a better understanding of the project. This was after I was already committed and had made a large deposit. I was frustrated by that because I thought the project was clear from the beginning since I had a picture of what I wanted to replicate. The payment installments were confusing and, as things took longer, they added new installments. I had to be firm that the final installment would be paid when the project was done. They had a few employees turnover which directly impacted my project. All but one did great work; but the one caused some major hiccups as did the transitions in general. We finished the project as a team. The results are beautiful. We are on good terms. We are planning to work together again, thankfully on a much more straightforward project!

However, the company she had used in the past wouldn't call me back. I found MetalArc using Google. And I'm beyond happy I did. First, their commitment to their craft is top notch. They will work diligently to get the project right. The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. The finished product is stunning, we couldn't be happier. Second, David's level of communication is a rarity. He is such a well spoken, clear and eloquent communicator. It is a lost art in today's day and age. I was impressed time and time again with his clarity and thoughtfulness in every conversation and email. This was truly a "project" that required communication and collaboration and he impressed me time and time again. Third, he is a good man whose primary goal was not only meeting but exceeding expectations. On top of being an expert in his craft, he has mastered being a good person. I can't say enough good things about him (and his brother, Joseph!). Thank you we will continue to sing your praises.

We wanted one of them converted to a hinged guard for emergency exit from a garden level room. I got estimates from three companies. Shield Iron Works offered the best price, but the prompt and detailed communications with Jordan at Shield were another factor in me choosing them. We ended up having Jordan sandblast and powdercoat all three guards (which were 48 years old with a scaling and rusting black finish). Jordan was able to match the hammer-finish dark silver-brown powdercoat of our newer security door, and all three guards came out looking great. It was an absolute pleasure working with Jordan from start to finish, and I'm very pleased with the quality and value of the work.

The owner called me as soon as he received our message on his answering machine, told me how to do the needed measurements, made the grates, and got them to me with no trouble, and all for a very reasonable price. And from two states away! The local business that I found to do this , had quoted me $350.00 per grate, ($700.00 for my two) when we first moved in to the home, six years ago. This company made them for less than $180.00 per grate. Even though they're in CO and I live in MT, they will get all of my future business for metal work. Definitely worth paying the postage. Excellent customer service, workmanship and honesty.
