Their customer service person called 3 days before the wedding (all payments had been made) to inquire if this event was still taking place. Yes of course it is-you certainly took our money. Total lack of communication between the owners, the customer service person and us the wedding party. Day of the wedding...The bartender showed up 53 minutes late-we were lined up to go down the aisle. The company said they had geo-located her being at the venue. She was not. I texted back & forth with them and although the bartender was not there they continued to say she was. Sent pictures of the empty bar. She was seemingly drunk, totally unorganized when she finally walked in and was already running behind before the guests came into the reception from the wedding. She could not seem to make a drink in a timely fashion to save her life. She asked my son's friends to cover the bar while she went to restroom then we see her outside vaping and eating a sandwich. We fired her and my son's friends had to bartend the rest of the night. She was there 2 hours tops and we were only refunded $128 out of the $2,100 we paid. Run do not walk away from this business. If I had even lower stars and 1 I would give them that. TERRIBLE.

Good Ol'Fashioned Party created a stunning wedding reception for a gorgeous June backyard wedding. The decor was crafted to be meaningful for the families and their guests. But more importantly, they understood the couple and who they were was reflected throughout the event. They even used the front yard space and driveway to make a beautiful sit down area with low benches and pillows with lace wrapping around the yard to make for an intimate and private event. The way they transformed the space was magical and I'll never forget this wedding. From the first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Nicole has incredible creativity, a beautiful way of designing for the uniqueness of her couples, great experience, a terrific local network, and is very direct about what to expect throughout the process. She was able to spot that we had been off with our initial estimate on overall costs, then broke everything down with tons of direct talk about where expenses would be generated, where we could save, and where we wouldn't want to save. In the end, her initial estimate was almost exactly what we ended up paying. Once we started working with her, she was brilliant about making a balance between taking the initiative and asking us for guidance. We always had trust in who she connected us with (she works with a network of total pros), and she made the entire process completely transparent, so we could keep an eye on what we needed to do, but also see what we didn't need to worry about. This was the only way that working together from a distance, and only meeting a couple of times in person was possible. Our wedding was on a family member's property, and Nicole was very skilled at pushing through our agreed vision for the wedding, but without ever stepping on any toes - she's a skilled diplomat. Regarding the wedding design, we we bringing together several cultures in the wedding - Hawaiian, Russian, German, and Coloradan. She was able to blend all of these into a seamless whole that totally reflected our identities in ways tasteful, fun, and surprising. All of our guests and families felt this terrific combination of style and identity that Nicole was able to orchestrate. On the day, she was absolutely a dream to work with. Attentive and in control, but without being overbearing, she was on top of every transition and important moment, but never taking the limelight. She's a true professional's professional. Overall, we were so lucky to work with Nicole, and I can highly recommend her to anyone who wants their wedding to be a true representation of who they are as a couple, and at the same time a totally professional production that they can simply celebrate with the people they love without worries.
