I don't often write reviews, because I just expect businesses to do a good job and if they don't then I'll just go somewhere else in the future. However in this case I feel a great review is warranted. Our 2011 Subaru was making an awful noise whenever I stepped on the gas pedal. A local service mechanic said that the catalytic converter needs looking at and he recommended a local muffler shop that I won't name in this review. The technician there spent about five minutes with the car and then told me that the catalytic converters were worn out and would need replacing at a cost of somewhere between $2000 and $3000. Thankfully at the time we weren't in hurry to get it fixed as we had another vehicle we could use and so I waited a few weeks. I'm so glad that I did as I used the time to research all muffler repair shops in the local area, and Noubar at Colorado Muffler kept coming up as highly recommended. This week I took our Subaru in and the technicians there spent time checking out the exhaust system. Noubar explained that Subarus have a lot of metal plates to protect the catalytic converters and the noise was most likely that the plates had worked loose over the years- a very common issue with older Subarus, but he would do a full inspection just to be sure. It turned out he was right. Instead of dropping thousands of dollars replacing the exhaust system that was not even needed, the work on the metal plates only cost $150 and our Subaru no longer makes an awful noise any more. It's that kind of honesty and customer care that means I will be back should our car need any of the kind of services Colorado Auto provides. read more

Catalytic converter got stolen! While I wasn't entirely sure... but something was obviously wrong with the exhaust system. Called Colorado Muffler and Nubar... bring it in, we will take care of you. It took me a while to get there... had to figure out how to jump an old Prius. Drove surface streets to get there so it took some time to get there. I was amazed that Nubar called me back to see if I was still coming. When I got there.... but the car on a lift and showed me that the catalytic converter was stolen. It was about 2:30 pm. But he actually got the parts delivered and fixed the car the same date. It was not cheap --- but in line with with the range of costs based on my research. Wonderful service. Answered all my questions. And took care of my daughter's old beat up 2013 Prius. read more

I took my truck in to be worked on. They didn't look at it. They didn't touch it until I called to find out what time it would be ready. The problem that I'm having with my truck they don't know what it is and they can't figure it out because it might cost him some money they're still under warranty. That's the problem I would not recommend dealing with them ever again. read more

Very unreliable, called to get a quote on a muffler and the man said he would call back in 20 minutes, never received a call great customer service I guess, I then showed up and asked if magnaflows would be a nice loud alternative to my old muffler and they said yes but now my car sound horrible, got charged an arm and a leg to just cut old mufflers off and slap on new ones. This is the most honest and well run mechanic shop I have ever experienced. I have multiple company vehicles that needed service and the dealerships and other mechanic shops were trying to charge over inflated prices. I found Noubar and company through yelp and decided at least stop by. Not only was I blown away with their speed (something that would take a dealership days/weeks was done in a few hours) but the price was literally 70-80% less than I was being quoted. I didn't understand why it was so much less but Noubar told me its simple: he specializes in fleets and return business therefore he will give the best possible price to keep customers coming back. 6 Stars! I had a loud rattle develop from my exhaust that had my truck sounding like a beater jalopy waiting to fall apart, every time I hit even the slightest bump in the road. I thought it was going to require some welding to fix. Took it in after finding this place on yelp and Noubar immediately threw it up on the lift, no waiting, and after a thorough investigation of all components - jumped right into action! Not only is Noubar and the staff here ultra friendly and pleasant, they are as honest as they are proficient! I was prepared to be gouged for a weld job price and who knows what else might've been wrong and go through the hassle of seeking a second and third opinion etc etc. Instead, Noubar and crew did some heating, bending, and prying, and 20 min later lowered the truck down and told me to take it for a spin to ensure the problem had been solved. Drove around the block purposefully hitting ever pothole and speed bump and not even a pin drop was heard all through the dena! Noubar ended up charging me half of what I expected I might pay and got the job done in 1/4 of the time I expected to commit. I was delighted to learn that they do every form of mechanical work (not just mufflers) and I will be taking my truck here for all and any future mechanical needs. Bravo! read more

I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!!!! They ripped off my son that was really excited to make his car really loud. He told me that both a muffler and resonator delete would cost about 250 at the most. He did his research on it to. When he walked in the man working on his car told him an estimate for both the muffler and resonator would cost 500!!!$$. He said that he would just do a muffler delete. Later on he wanted his car to be louder and so he took it to a PRO MUFFLER EXAHUST PLACE. They said they would do the resonator delete for about 60 bucks!!!! THE PRO MUFFLER SHOP TOLD HIM THEY EVEN DID THE MUFFLER DELETE HORRIBLE. They screwed up the welding and made the exhaust tip crooked which they also ripped him off on. I repeat do not come here if you want to make your car louder. read more

Well, I asked for quotes from multiple stores. This one gave me a quote at $175 and according to the message owner sent to me 'it includes labor plus tax' then I thought $175 will be the total price I will need to pay. However, the second day while I picking up my vehicle. The total price they charged me was $212. I wanted to argue with them but the owner indicated that was some kind of 'glue' fee. I paid the total price but I want to warn everyone, be careful of their quote!!! I considered it as fraud! read more

Just thought Id chime in here because I don't have an axe to grind. Its seems like a low blow to give people who work so hard, and give such excellent service, a bad review. So here is my $.02: Nubar and Mike have always done an excellent job for all the mechanical work Ive brought them over the last two years or so. I originally discovered this place when I needed a set of headers and related hardware installed on my 75 Olds 442. Not only did they custom fabricate several pieces needed to make the installation viable, they offered to check the system a month later. Just to be sure everything was working well. After discovering that they do excellent mechanical work in addition to muffler work, I started giving them other small jobs, and then some complicated stuff. Here is some of the more complex things they have done for me: repair faulty ABS system on a 88 Jag xj6 fix sequential relay on cougar tail light system Install pertronix system on 65 mustang replace clutch on a 70 Challenger replace steering system on 81 honda accord Each of these jobs were done perfectly and at a fraction of the expense I would pay elsewhere. I purchased yesterday a 2001 Mercedes ML 320. Immediately the AC was not working. Mike and his brother not only fixed it at no charge, but replaced a faulty air flow sensor, filled a windshield chip, and repaired the faulty interior lighting, all at no extra charge. When I insisted on an invoice, discounted, of course, Mike said nothing doing we just want you to be happy. The very clean MB was reasonably priced to begin with and these guys went more than the extra mile for me. This kind of dedication to the customer is rarer than rare in the business. I had a few issues with my car and I needed someone in the Pasadena area to fix the problems while I went to class. I came across Colorado Muffler and the owner was such a sweet man! I had told him what was going on with my car and he showed me everything one by one and took his time. I'm a girl, I don't really know much about car engines and oil changes.. He was nice enough to let me leave my car there and he even asked one of his employees if he can drop me off to class at PCC. All and all, I haven't had problems with my car ever since. Took my rust bucket in progress restoration 73 K5 Blazer to get mufflers and custom bent pipes after upgrading the engine and throwing on full length headers.
