Another great vendor! Marci, the owner, is very accommodating and easy to work with. My understanding is that all she does is wedding cakes, and she has a show area with several faux cakes decorated so you can see her work in person. In addition, she has albums full of pictures and is quick to offer suggestions and customize a cake for you. Many of our guests said (and I agree) that it was simply the best wedding cake they had ever tasted. We chose an amaretto + mocha mouse layer and a lemon + raspberry layer that were both absolutely delicious. A unique feature of Marci's cake is that she layers the filling and cake several times, instead of just once like many other bakeries. As if that weren't enough, the decorations were beautiful. Marci prides her business on their ability to perfectly smooth butter cream icing onto a cake, and she wasn't kidding. They accented our layers with two sizes of brown ribbon, some pine cones, and a few fresh flowers. Simple, and beautiful! read more

Amazing!!! We went through Marci and her team for our wedding cake and it was amazing. I worked with her on a custom design, and it ended up being more than I could have imagined! Very easy to communicate with and very open to ideas. I loved the taste of the cake and the fact all the design work was done in frosting not fondant! Looking online, her cakes looked beautiful. But upon calling to discuss pricing for small cakes, was completely insulted and because of this phone call, I will never use her or recommend her to anyone. I'm sure her cakes taste as good as they look, but quite frankly I would rather work with someone who is nice and not someone who acts like a complete snob. I want to work with someone who still feels honored to be apart of people's special day, not someone who looks down on those who are trying to add a delighter to their day, despite financial troubles. I cannot afford to have a beautiful cake for all of my guests, but I really want to treat myself and my wedding party to something special. Upon mentioning this, and tinkering with the idea of just buying something basic for my other guests, was told, "If you're going to get sheet cakes from somewhere else, like Safeway or something, which in my opinion are terrible, then I can't bake a cake for you and have my name associated with the OTHER cakes..." I didn't even say Safeway, or anything else. I get wanting to stand by your work, and not to have your name tainted, but seriously?! I haven't even begun to explain why I can't afford 5 tiers, or what my alternative plan for feeding the other people is -- who, by the way, are from out of state or south of Colorado Springs (and will never hear her name again). read more

All I had to do was pick my flavors (chocolate chocolate chip w/ mocha mousse, strawberry with champagne, and amaretto with raspberry) and order the cake flowers from my florist.
