Ordered a pair of TTS breeches for $199 plus shipping. Received them and they appeared to be used…read morewith hair/fuzz on them and these were a birthday gift. Reached out numerous times and finally received an email 10 days later. below is the email back... no apology, sorry for the inconvenience or anything.... "The breeches are clearly not used. The tags are still intact. While it is true that Velcro has the propensity to attract fuzz, that is not an indication of wear. Further, it is common for customers to try clothing on before buying. Based on your picture it looks to me that the fuzz was most likely from the rug we had in our dressing room, which would shed considerably. If you want to return the breeches you purchased at wholesale cost that is fine, you may request that. However, the refund will not include outgoing or return shipping." $199 is not wholesale cost, that's the normal price of black TS breeches. Def will never recommend or use them again. I wished I could post the pictures on here for reference.

I was told it sold for a little over $500, but the paper work was in the wrong binder so they would leave it for the owner to call me. I never heard back. I have since called at least once a month and am always told the same thing, "the paperwork is in the owner's office and she isn't in, but they will leave my name and phone number for her to call". I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A CALL BACK. A sales associate told me that if someone doesn't pick up their money after their item sells within a year they forfeit the profit to the store. I have tried to call repeatedly with no call back from the owner. I am worried she will claim it has been over a year and not give me my money. I feel as though they have taken advantage of me and stolen from me. As a social worker in Denver $500+ is a lot of money. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I know this tack shop has a lot of English tack and supplies, but my memory is a little foggy on the Western tack. The Tack Shack has a great service for cleaning and mending horse blankets - totally worth it to have someone else deal with that horrible cleaning chore. I've talked with the owner several times and I really like her. She gave me good advice on good and bad stables in the area.

Over the last 3 years I have spend a lot of money at this place just because it is the closest one…read moreto my house. Last year I bought an expensive ($400) bridle that needed adjustment but every time I went in there was never anyone available till I just left it there with the message that whenever someone would be available to please have it adjusted. ??? we are now a year further and 4 weeks ago the bridle was finally adjusted but it was horrible when I brought it home the stitching was loose and not even finished and glue was dripping out. They charged me $65 for the adjustment and it looks absolutely terrible. First of all I can't believe they charged to adjust a bridle like that and then deliver it like that. I was deeply insulted when the creepy guy who works their told me he didn't remember me buying the bridle their. All receipts present and as I recall they have all this information in their system, I didn't need him to remember me I just need him to provide service. BTW people always tell me about the creepy guy making them feel like they are stealing cause he breathes down your neck. I AGREE !!! it is now 4 weeks and still no bridle, when we called on the status last week they told me they needed clarification on what to do with the bridle, REALLY and they didn't call, you have to be kidding me.... so I am still bridle less as of today. I will not spend a dime in this place ever again and I will do my best to tell everyone I know not ever to shop there. I have heard people say they are nice, well only if you buy and don't expect any service afterwards. Very two faced. This is not the first time this happened but I didn't know that other places like Fox Creek in Boulder and Happy Horse offer service. I bought my daughters first riding boots ($365) at tack collection also when the zipper broke they never offered or suggested that you can send them back to Ariat and they can give you a bag. When my brand new martingale broke they never offered any service to have it repaired. When they don't have something they don't offer to order it for you. Do I need to go on. I never have gone to this extend to even review a business but as I am so insulted by their way of treating me I will go above and beyond to not recommend this place .

I have had the worst experiences with Wardle's and just want to warn others…read more In June 2024, as a brand new chicken owners, I bought 3 Rhode Island Red hens from them. I was not able to go into the coop with the sales associate so he just went in, grabbed whatever three hens he could get and put them in my carrier. When I got home and took them out, I noticed one could barely walk. I tried to give her some rescue 911 electrolytes in her water and access to food thinking maybe getting scooped up and put in a box and then being in a car for 15 minutes was a stress on her nervous system and she just needed some time to acclimate. I called Wardle's to tell them what happened and asked if I could switch her for another hen. The manager told me no because she could be sick... even though that meant they had just sold me a sick chicken. She struggled for weeks. We had to keep her in a separate coop and spent countless dollars on a ton of different supplements trying to figure out what was wrong with her and to keep her alive. Finally we tried Vitamin B12 and after a few days of it in her water, she able to walk normally. Although she was always a pretty sickly chicken and not even a year later we found her dead in the coop one morning (no sign of attack or any injuries). Fast forward to September of 2025. We wanted to get a few chicks to raise and integrate with our flock. Against my better judgement, we went back to Wardle's to get chicks. They only had 4 week olds and again, we weren't allowed in the room where the brooders were to pick the ones we wanted so we just told the associate how many and which breeds. We got 3 gold laced Wyandottes, a Rhode Island Red and a Barred Rock. I looked in the box and noticed one of the hens had a pretty big comb. I asked if that was normal because we definitely didn't want a rooster. They assured me it was a hen. 3 months later, our "hen" has started crowing. We can't have roosters in Lakewood so now we have to find someone to take him or cull him. It breaks my heart. Of note, since then we have ordered chicks from McMurray and Meyer's Hatchery and had really healthy, beautiful, hens. Not a single rooster. I would highly recommend ordering from a hatchery over buying any chickens from Wardle's!
