First time to Colore Italian Restaurant in Littleton, Colorado, located in a small strip mall close to the Littleton downtown area. The restaurant has a great online reservation system, which made reserving a table very easy, including making a modification to it the day before. In additional the public off-street parking had plenty of space and was easy to access. Upon arrival the front desk greeted us warmly, confirmed our reservations, and we were seated right away. The server was quick to greet us and gave us plenty of time to review the menu for drinks and food, which primarily was Italian based dishes (as expected). The server also informed us of the soup of the day and daily specials, which I do wish he could have voluntarily provided the price of the daily specials. We had full dinner, which included complimentary bread, appetizer, entrees, and desserts. The Fried Cheese appetizer was prepared as breaded cheese balls, served on a layer of marinara sauce. The perfect size for an appetizer for the 3 of us. Entrees were all served in the appropriate timing after the appetizer, consisting of a Vegetable Lasagna, Chicken Saltimbocca over Potato Gnocchi, and the daily special of pan seared Branzino fish over Potato Gnocchi. All the entrees were served hot and fresh from the kitchen, and each was flavored very well. To top off the meal, we each ordered a dessert, which as the entrees, were served fresh and tasty. The Tiramisu was a traditional serving, which the Carrot Cake and Peach Bread Pudding were more creative, but all of them were excellent. Overall, the dinner had excellent service from front of house to table service, and we never had a moment when we lacked anything. I especially enjoyed the pace of the meal, never feeling rushed, which gave us all ample time to visit with friends over a nice meal. One thing to be aware of is overall menu pricing is a bit on the high side, depending on premium entrees, but there is a nice variance of choices. Even with this, I would not hesitate to return, due to the service and atmosphere for a fine meal. Tips for your visit: Sunday dinner was not crowded at all, and noise level was very low for easy conversations, but in case of peak times, use the reservation system. They also were very accommodating for separate checks, just be sure to tell your server at the start of the meal. read more

We tried this restaurant on Tuesday night. We did not have reservations but they were able to seat us immediately. The ambience is very good. This is a small Italian restaurant in a strip shopping center parking lot. They have an outdoor patio, but it was still a bit warm for that. Our server was Jennifer W. She greeted us and discussed the wine list making recommendations. We settled on a bottle of the Super Tuscan, which was excellent. She reviewed the daily specials and we both ordered the salmon pasta special and a small Caesar salad. The salad was perfect. The main course was excellent with a wonderful cream sauce, arugula, tomatoes, and salmon cooked to perfection. Jennifer checked on us throughout our meal. Stopped in as we drove back from a weekend away. Overall, it was delightful. We were greeted by the manager who seated us promptly even though we didn't have a dinner reservation. Newly opened down in Littleton and a bit off the beaten path Colore turned out to be pretty good. We snuck in late after one my kids sports practices when i didnt feel like cooking. Three of us with an app and 2 adult beverages came in under $100 which is pretty good these days, especially when my daughter had the NY Strip. Best items were: Friend Calamari appetizer, which was light, not greasy and not chewy - common pitfalls of other similarly priced restaurants; and the pesto linguini with prosciutto. The NY was really well liked by my daughter, although its a smaller steak. Newly opened and with us in late the service wasn't perfect but you could see the management team was working with all of the new folks to improve. We will definitely be back. read more

Second verse, same as the first! This is the second location of this popular Italian restaurant, and it's almost a carbon copy. The menu is substantially the same, and the new place serves a different part of town, so it spreads things out as both are frequently crowded. They do also have an outdoor patio on one side when the weather cooperates. We went with a large group for an event on a busy night and the service was great, even with the kitchen being backed up with so many orders. I like both locations and would be happy to return to either one. A note about this one though: the parking lot that serves this entire shopping center is deceptively insufficient. It was absolutely packed, though on another visit it was much more accessible. So I guess it just depends on how you hit it. But don't let that stop you from coming here - this place should fit in just fine in this neighborhood. I'm glad they have expanded and still kept up the quality. read more

Ok we gave it a try. Good service and atmosphere but the food wasn't overally impressive or special. The cesear salad was great and they brought some anchovy's the Alfredo was solid garlicky but dry shrimp. The piccata was disappointing not flavorful at all dry chicken and boring I make this at home and it's lemon garlic and buttery this was blah and don't care for spaghetti in this dish angel hair would have been better. Very few capers. We will go back and try the pizza but think there are better Italian dining options in town. read more

We were happily surprised by a second location opening up in Littleton after moving from Englewood to Highlands Ranch. The Englewood Colore was one of our go to's! We went on a Sunday night around 6pm and it was fairly busy, we were seated outside per our request and our server, Jennifer, was phenomenal! We started with the calamari which was tasty as always and then we ordered that evening special - prosciutto parmigiana - and the baked penne bolognese. The penne bolognese was delicious, as it always is (we almost always get this), but the plating was differing than the Englewood locations! We were both unfortunately underwhelmed by the special, for the price ($26), we felt it was a bit lacking as there were only four shrimp, and while it was mixed with prosciutto, it was almost like a jerky version of it which was odd. We kind of thought it tasted like lomein, which again, strange from an Italian restaurant. You just never know with the specials, but we will still obviously be returning as we know we like some of the other staples! read more

We tried this relatively new Italian restaurant just off of Bowels & Platte Canyon recently. It's nice to have another Italian option nearby. The decor is understated and pretty with a good ambiance. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. We both enjoyed what we ordered. Although the sauce was initially forgotten on mine, they quickly remedied the mistake and the server & managers were fast to apologize. We will definitely try this restaurant again. read more

Nice enough restaurant. Warm greeting, friendly service. I didn't pick the right item on the menu. The meatball appetizer was average. They were not overly dense but the inside was more of a smooth sausage consistency as if over mixed. If you were looking for a traditional chicken piccata, this is not it. The chicken was not butterflied, pounded thin and pan fried followed up with a pan sauce but instead it was a piece of chicken cut in half in a wine, chicken stock, lemon liquid. My dining partner and I both enjoyed our food although it was not the best Italian food available locally (in our very subjective opinions). Most of our dishes were good. The vongole was not good the claims were over cooked. The pizza was good.

Since they opened this location, we have been there twice for dinner and ordered takeout pizza once. This is a true gem. The entrees are delicious. We had Caesar salad, bolognese and chicken parm. They were all delicious. Portions are large and well prepared. The pizzas were also delicious. Excellent crust, sauce and toppings. The service exceeds expectations. The owner, Chris, was onsite and checked in with us to see how our meal was. An added bonus is the wine list. It is not over priced but is of decent quality. Service was amazing, food was good except the pesto. It's made with spinach and no nuts, it's incredibly bland, thankfully our server Jennifer was so accommodating and got me an alternative sauce for my dish. Breads were fresh and warm. What a great find!!! Here to see a concert at Redrocks and found this incredible restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere. The best part of our experience was our server, Dawn, and the bartender, Kyle. Dawn had the perfect balance of attentiveness. She had a great personality and made our experience a 10!! As for Kyle!
