Appliances 4 Less popped up in my feed and I felt like it was destiny! I was able to secure a large capacity, front loader washing machine with all the bells and whistles for $700! Lindsay helped me with choosing everything and getting payment handled, and she was SO nice and easy to work with. I used their financing option, which was a huge plus because they allow early payoff (exactly what I was looking for, especially since my credit isn't great). Paco, their delivery guy, had everything at my house within two hours -- seriously impressive. He removed my old appliances into the garage for me and fully set up the washer and dryer himself (water hookups, gas hookup, all of it). He was done in under 30 minutes and did an amazing job. Both Lindsay and Paco were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. This was honestly one of the easiest appliance purchases I've ever made. Highly recommend!

Although I appreciate the deal on the appliance, once I paid my money things changed. First, I was scheduled for next day delivery and we agreed to 5:30. I mentioned the commute home was long but I would check to see if my mom could wait for the delivery person. We still agreed on 5:30. I asked are there any other days available and I was told the driver doesn't work on Friday and Saturday wasn't available. Additionally, I was asked if the appliances were going to be upstairs. I said yes. Mr. Black said he only had one delivery person and he cannot make the delivery alone. He said since the delivery person would have to use his wife for the delivery, would I pay an additional 50.00 "to the wife????" Are you kidding! I received a call from the delivery person at 5:16, he was upset I was not there. He was agitated and yelling. I confirmed delivery was for 5:30 and my eta was 5:26. The delivery said " that's another 10 minutes!!." Wow. Removing both units from upstairs and installing two units is minimum 1 hour. Once I arrived the driver had unboxed the units and had the in the middle of my driveway along with his truck. As I pulled up and placed my hazards on, the driver miraculously is nice and insist I can drive around and park in my garage. Ok? Fast-forward, the driver and his wife take out my old units and bring in the new units. Upon seeing the drainage pan of the washer, he offered to replace it for 250.00. A 37.00 pan?? No thanks. He connected the washer and immediately said my pipes were frozen and I would need to call a plumber. The house is 10 years old. I stated that my washer was replaced before and I never heard such a thing. Magically, the water ran to the washer. The dryer was disconnected and there was a ball of lint. The delivery person quickly reconnected the hose and told me I need to call to get the line cleared because it was a fire hazard. So why not give me the option to leave the hose disconnected? Finally, as the couple were leaving, I was mopping up the spilled water from my old units and noticed the doorway panel was broken and set back in place. I hurried to catch the driver and couldn't so I called. I asked why didn't he mention the panel was broken. Why did he just put it back as if I don't own my house and wouldn't notice???? The installer, adamantly denied that he caused the damage. Rather the argue, I reached out to the owner or sales person Mr. Black and not only did I send the picture of the damage, he never answered the call nor did he respond the next day. Definitely, disappointed.

I walked in expecting a normal trip (you know... grab one thing, leave with ten), but Ramona turned it into a VIP experience. She didn't just point me in the right direction--she practically escorted me through the wilderness of aisles like a seasoned tour guide who actually cares if you survive. Need help? She's already there. Got a question? She's three steps ahead with an answer, a backup plan, and probably a better idea than what you came in for. At one point I was convinced she might secretly run the whole store. Customer service like that is rare these days--Ramona didn't just go above and beyond, she packed a lunch and stayed there. If every Home Depot had a Ramona, bro DIY projects would be so much easier. 10/10 would get lost in the store to be rescued by her.

My cart was completely loaded with lumber, so I naturally went toward the registers by the oversized/lumber exit where a cart like this can actually fit. I was told by the manager that those registers were closed for the day and that I needed to take my fully loaded lumber cart through the regular checkout aisles. Of course, the cart didn't fit. Instead of simply opening a register near the lumber exit, an employee had to help me by writing down every single item on a piece of paper so they could ring everything up at another register. What bothered me the most was the manager's attitude. There was no effort to help or find a reasonable solution just, "Sorry, those registers are closed for the day." Thankfully, another employee actually stepped in and helped me. I'm a paying customer purchasing a large amount of merchandise. I shouldn't be made to feel like helping me is an inconvenience, especially when I'm buying items that are specifically difficult to take through a normal checkout lane. I also have to say that the way I was spoken to left me wondering whether I would have been treated the same way if I weren't Hispanic. I don't make that accusation lightly, but no customer should leave a store feeling talked down to or treated as though their business doesn't matter. Home Depot needs to do better when it comes to customer service and making sure managers are actually willing to help customers especially customers purchasing lumber and oversized items.

In fact, although the store did not have in stock what I had come in for, Joseph was quick to help me find an even better product at a lesser price. And it wasn't just Joseph who provided excellent customer care. There were also other employees whom I was asked questions of that made me question why the Yelp Review star ratings were so poor. Well, my experience was such that I felt it appropriate to commend the excellent customer service. Because of Joseph, I was in and out of the store without wasting time and with a great product.

A few days ago, they had several mid-century style pieces of furniture that were new. Seems like most of the furniture are manufacturer closeouts, or dent and scratches, This Habitat ReStore amazes me, because it is in a nice modern industrial building, which I have never seen Habitat occupy. The others I have been to , are in the oldest most run down buildings in low rent areas. However, as nice as this building is, you look way up at the ceiling, there is no AC or other cooling system. It was over 100 degrees when I bought this chair, outside temp. They leave the front door open for the breeze but you feel all the hot air, that is hotter than the temp inside the building. The employee at the cash register, near the open door where all the hot air was coming in, said "Yep, no AC". But if you didn't have air circulating, even hot air, it would be a greater hotter oven. They have a separate room, where they sell small stuff, not even related to building or home stuff, like bike helmets. The thing about this store, the things they sell here are newer, and not used and sometimes broken and chipped, like the other Habitat ReStores have. The donations come from manufacturers or commercial businesses rather than individual donors that are remodeling their homes, or got a new piece.
