We purchased a Jen-Air microwave/oven combo September 13, 2025 from Pacific Sales in Temecula CA. It was installed a few days after our purchase by an experienced and knowledgeable contractor who was contracted by Pacific Sales. He and his assistant did an excellent job but couldn't find a the 'kick plate' so he told us he'd go back to the store and try to find one. If we didn't hear from him, we'd have to call the store to let them know it was missing. So we waited about 2 weeks before calling the store to let them know it was missing. They placed the order and had it shipped to us which took about 3 weeks. By the time we received it we were in the middle of the holidays. I finally called them to let them know the piece arrived and we needed it installed. I was told that was over 90 days from when we purchased it and it would be $290 to have the installer come and install it. I refused to pay that kind of money to have the piece installed so I told them I'd figure it out myself. I'm a 65 yo woman who has to remove the heavy oven door in order to install the kick-plate. Turns out, it was an easy fix but the problem is that it didn't come with the screws so now I need to purchase the (special sized) screws to install the kick-plate. I figured out that we were not over the 90 days after I spoke to the Pacific Sales representative but I didn't want to call them back and argue with them. I feel that I was treated poorly and the rep should have taken the time to figure out that I wasn't out of time and at the very least, offer to ship me the two screws. How ridiculous it is to price gouge for two screws. I guess Pacific Sales likes to 'SCREW' their customers. So until I get the proper screws, I have an ugly cabinet where my microwave/oven combo is. read more
