Well im from Nashville Tn and just moved here 9 months ago. My honest opinion is this place is between an Ocharleys and a Longhorn Steak house. Its really good but, as far as temp on your steak (medium to Medium Rare) the cook needs to be educated and given cook times otherwise they are going to waist alot of high priced steak. The experience overall was very good. Christine was our waitress and she was very high energy. The overall feel was a bit like Texas Roadhouse. It was not overly loud, and we felt secluded in the booth, even though we were in the side of the dining room. The food was excellent. The kitchen was very fast. We had an appetizer of fried pickles. These were delightful. They were sliced the long way and the batter had just the slightest hint of heat. I also had the mesquite salmon with the raspberry chipotle sauce. I am sorry to say that nothing we had was even mediocre when it came to our meals. Baked potato had mealy inside and soft skin. No texture and no flavor. Food was acceptable. The servings were very large. The food is very filing. The atmosphere is very Southwestern. I prefer food on the lighter side, chicken salad, quince, etc...I'm not a big meat eater. My husband said his ribeye was very good. We ordered Potato skins as an appetizer and these were baking potatoes, cut in half with. Cheese and bacon added, alone, two pieces would satisfy the average adult for several hours without anything more. I selected the chopped steak which normally is served with grilled onions and green peppers, however; I decided to have my chopped steak without the peppers and onions with a little brown gravy. It was very flavorful, tender and filling. I was only able to eat about half of it. I forgot to mention they have fried. Okra, it is so good, if you like okra you have got to try their fried okra, it's awesome. When we left Colton's everyone was stuffed but we all left anywhere from 1/2 to 1:4 of the food on our plate because we could not eat anymore. Steaks were great. Portions were fair for the price and service was excellent. Place was full on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 with a 15-20 minute wait time. Decor is fun and fits the western theme. I had never been here before as I'm new to the area. I had ordered my food on the phone and they were very nice. I went to do a curbside pickup and there wasn't a number to call or anything so I walked inside because I wasn't sure what to do. After getting my food I tried the steak for the first time and the steak was very bland there was no seasoning I didn't even taste salt on it. Went to dinner tonight and what a horrible experience. First off, the cigarette smoke was choke wrenching, our table had garbage and a steak knife on the floor under the table. The waitress didn't even give us a chance to sit down and wanted to take our order. The steak we ordered wasn't done (tough, and raw ) and the Chicken was super dry. On top of all this, the waitresses just sat at the bar staring at us and making loud comments about me complaining about the smoke and under cooked food. Very unprofessional and rude. So sad to have such a horrible experience in our small town.As a respectful customer and decent human being I still left a respectful tip. Hopefully these waitresses will learn a life lesson! We moved to the area recently and are starting to see a trend. The places with mixed reviews (even leaning more toward negative) tend to be the places we enjoy the most. This place was no exception. Our server was attentive and personable. A small error was made and our meals weren't put in along with our drinks and appetizer. We hadn't really noticed the delay until our server came to apologize and offered a discount on our meal (which wasn't necessary by any means). We ordered the Onion Blossom which was tasty, and it came with a tangy dip similar to the typical steakhouse competitors. My daughter and I each ordered the 6oz Sirloin with salad & potato, and both steaks were seasoned adequately and cooked to our individual preference. My husband got a burger and he said it was good too. All in all, the meal exceeded our expectations based on the reviews we read and we left full and happy. The restaurant is clean and seems to be well managed. We'll definitely be back! read more

We recently visited this location while on vacation in Kentucky. We found our waitress, Angela (Annie on the dinner ticket) to be very attentive, and so friendly! She checked back with us several times. She answered our questions and explained things we didn't know, patiently. This was our first visit to a Colton's Steakhouse & Grill. I found the atmosphere to be fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed looking at all the stuff on the walls. It was just fun to sit and look around the place. We had the Tombstone Rita, my husband had the regular one, and the waitress offered to have mine made up frozen, which was GREAT! I love frozen drinks. My son had a Pina Colada and he said it was good too. My husband and I had the 12oz Ribeye, now, when it came out it looked much bigger! It was good. I have to say that I have had more seasoned and tender steak at other places, but this was actually the best food we had all vacation. The portions are big, be prepared to bring some home if you aren't a real big eater. The fried okra was really good. I had the house salad with the house dressing. I wasn't expecting to have such a big salad and a TON of dressing which is put on the side so you can dress it yourself, it was nice and fresh and really refreshing. We also got a Bloomin' Onion, which was just as delicious as the ones from Outback. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would recommend it to all our friends. We had visited a local ribs place that was highly recommended by locals, but we were very disappointed in the food we got that day, so we were very happy when we got such delicious food here. read more

Bussers were on hand to clean the tables quickly and to get those waiting seated. We were greeted fairly quickly but our server certainly had a big station. But her friendliness the service was good. Tasteless steak. Took my grandson to Coltons to celebrate him making the Honor roll at his middle school. I ordered a New York strip with loaded bake potato and a Ceasars salad. I ate the potato and the salad. The steak (that I ordered medium rare) was medium to well done. But the worst part was it was completely devoid of taste. This is the best large steakhouse in the area if you want to not wait and just have great steaks/American food. Peanuts, salads, rolls, and beer are all on point. If you're a fan of a good Texas Roadhouse or Logan's, this place is as good as the former and better than the latter. The sirloin steak is always cooked correctly and tender enough to cut with a butter knife. The servers are always so nice and attentive. Our two toddlers are always treated like queens. read more
