This was the amount of fat on a KC New York Strip. Pretty costly when you don't get much meat for the money.

The quality of the steaks were awful.. The Mac and cheese was bland. Service was ok. The ambiance was meh. Too much fat and thin steaks!

Joined virtual waitlist which was easy to use. Was seated right away. It was a Saturday night and we were seated next to an enormous table, which was ok, loud but manageable. Server was friendly, took our drink and appetizer order which was promptly delivered. We had onion straw things which were nice, but chicken nacho's were very disappointing, served lukewarm, sparse toppings, clumpy cold chicken. Didn't look appealing and tasted blah. Hawaiian ribeye was a winner, very juicy & flavorsome, sides of Mac & cheese and fries were good. I had the regular rib eye, mine was served with onions & mushrooms, well apparently it was, some miserable scratchings almost unrecognizable were sitting on my steak. Side of brown gravy was delicious, very beefy. I couldn't help notice everybody around us was being treated to hot rolls with honey, not sure why we didn't get offered any? Maybe you need to ask for them but as a new customer I'm not to know that?

I try to skip chain restaurants when doing reviews but I've been working in this general region a while and this restaurant seems to have a lot of locations. I figured they have to be good if the people want so many of them. I didn't bother checking Yelp before hand, mainly because the parking lot seems packed almost every night. I guess I had figured that wrong. Now I'm thinking that people just want a steak dinner and are not real concerned about what they are eating. Convenience seems to be the main idea here. Let's give the people a steak place, but let's spend more on how flashy and gimmicky the building is. That gets them in the door, but then feed them mediocre food. The western atmosphere and decor certainly pairs well with this type of food. Even their choices of items on the menu are fairly good. But that's about where it all ends for me. From the moment we walked in the door, until the moment we walked out, the staff we encountered seemed less than interested to be there. Most were just helpful and polite enough to do their job. Like I said, the food options were pretty good, but flavor was blah. Not necessarily bad. I was just hoping for some good seasoned meat and sides. Everything tasted more like cafeteria food. The place was clean and the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately it's gonna take a little more to get me to stop at a Colton's again.

Takeout Review: Colton's has a convenient location next to the hotel that I stay at frequently while with my husband on his military stays. Unfortunately, that is really one of the best attributes to the restaurant. I have ordered takeout many times from Colton's. Every time the staff is short and unfriendly. I always order the Caesar salad because the dressing is really good. I love potato soup so, I convince myself to order it a lot even though every time it has it has lacked in flavor. The toppings make up for this most of the time. This time around I order the salmon spread, which was surprisingly fantastic! Unfortunately, the pita chips that came with were slightly rubbery and greasy. I ended up putting the spread on the rolls which are always amazing. I'm not sure how dining compares to take out as we have never tried. Due to the proximity to the hotel I'm sure I will order from them again and stick to the couple items I know are good. I always say try something for yourself just in case my experiences happen to be outside of the norm. Happy eating Yelpers!

No coasters at the bar, they use wet paper towels. Check issued before asked for. Won't eat here again. Low class.

The lacquered soup bowl and spoon are par for the course but the cast iron teapot and teacup give that authentic quality. So the miso soup is not as salty as I am accustomed to, but I believe that is a me thing, not a quality issue. The composition of seaweed and tofu is good. The salad has a ginger dressing which I appreciate, but my daughter didn't. Again, it's a her issue. The salad components were fresh. The sushi flavors were pretty good. So the fish is not as fresh as it would be in a coastal state or on an island. Hey man, this is the midwest! That being said, this is NOT grocery store sushi though, it is much better and much tastier than that. The flavors of the sauces are mild to allow the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through, something that many places err in. Typical rolls have such overpowering sauces that the actual ingredients are unidentifiable. This place does not make that mistake. The spicy tuna roll is probably the best tasting spicy tuna roll that I have had in a very long time. Most places use sriracha as the main pepper ingredient, despite it not being of Japan origins. This spicy tuna roll has more of a togarashii based pepper base. As a result it has more of an authentic Japanese flavor. Yum! The staff are very nice, greeting you with a smile. They even ask if you would like a plate cleared away before taking the dish away...my husband has had instances where he wasn't quite done and the servers whisked the dish away neglecting to ask. They checked on us frequently as well. I also am pleasantly surprised that their last call for dine in is 15 minutes before they close. My daughter wasn't available to go out for dinner until 8:45 pm. This is 20 minutes away, so it was still open when we arrived and we didn't feel rushed to place our order.

The quality of the seafood was a very clean tasting seafood. Even the shrimp had a nice clean flavor. And we're you looking for butter? Oh, they do (not) spare the sticks of butter at this place! The potato. Oh yes, I said "potato". I have never had a seafood bowl - have (just) a single potato. The potato tasted absolutely great. But 1 potato? That was a joke - especially after you see what these items cost! The garlic butter: There was plenty of butter. Tye flavoring of the butter, certainly was unique of sorts. Seemed to have (possibly) a chili powder base. And though I thought it was good...I also got tired of the taste, after a bit. The Big Downer at this place: Cost. You see my (2) platters. Add (3) cans of Coke - the cost was $150.00. Yes, that's correct: $150.00. Sure, there's a whole lobster on one of the platters. BUT, it wasn't that big by any means. And let's remember: 1 potato was included in the platter. 1 small red potato, came with it; at that price! Lol. Conclusion: Krustaceans is where you should go - for the seafood boiler platters. A much better combination of quality, value and price.

It is a small restaurant (possibly a converted fast food place) that has been modified and decorated to fit the part. The bar area consists of horse saddles for bar stools which was a nice feature. The night I went there was (I believe) only one waitress who was hustling. I was seated and quickly brought chips and salsa. The salsa had a slight hint of heat and the chips were pretty good. I usually order a combo plate when at a new place. I found them near the back of a very extensive menu. Instead of picking from a list of items they gave each possible combination spelled out. I was hoping for a taco, enchilada and rellano combo but rellanos are not included in the combos. I went with a taco, 2 enchiladas and rice. Apparently these only come ground beef. I tried to get carnitas for my tacos and ended up with a side dish of tacos. In the end the food tasted good. My margarita seemed heavy on the mix and easy on the tequila. In the end this was fine for small town Mexican. I would have rated it higher had the combo portion of my dinner not been the standard ground beef.
