It's really too far away for a casual brunch and the memory gradually faded. Then the mood stroke and we hopped on the Link and walked 10 minutes to the packed store. The line moved quickly and we soon sat on the sidewalk table to enjoy the coffee and sandwiches. One bite and the memories rolled back. Yes, this is why we told ourselves to keep on coming back. We also got some sweet pastries to go. The bear claw was a new experience and we would have got more had we were still at the store. Didn't see cake anymore. Wonder if they still take orders for them.

Really tasty bakery! I got the vegan potato rosemary focaccia. It was delicious! My partner really liked his hand pie and brownie too. The drinks were also pretty good. I'd definitely come back for the focaccia. Preferably an entire loaf of it lol. The servers were very helpful and patient with us and it was a lively and bright place to sit down and eat.

    The Hudson breakfast sandwich

Stopped by after birding at Seward Park on a Saturday. It was crowded but the line moved quickly and staff were friendly and helpful. I haven't been in much since the interior was closed during shutdowns but I'm excited to come by more often! Baked goods are still stellar and I love the expanded breakfast menu. Tried "The Hudson" breakfast sandwich with egg, jalapeño aioli and bacon on their fresh ciabatta. I was apprehensive about such a crusty bread for a breakfast sandwich since I feel the goal is usually soft on soft but it was delicious! The crust was flavorful while the interior bread was soft and chewy. Bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. Egg was a steamed square slice which is how I like them for breakfast sandwiches. The aioli added a nice acidic component without overwhelming the familiar comfort of egg, cheese, and bacon. In my opinion a great value for about $10. Filling and delicious!

Great for bread and other savory pastries. They sell a variety of breads like, focaccia, champagne, sesame, original baguette etc. Also they have cold and hot drinks (coffee, matcha, lemonade). There are known for there meat pies. I tryed the chorizo pie, the crust is flaky and the meat fillings is just phenomenal (so tasty). The best meat pies I've had for a while. Came on a Saturday morning around 11 and it was packed. There are a limited seating inside and there is street parking available with paid to park areas as well. Busy bakery, alot of people coming in and out. You can place a order ahead of time or walk in. There is a to go shelf for pick up orders. Busy there is a wait but line goes fast. Not a good place if you want a quiet place to drink coffee.

Loved the vegan focaccia options and super friendly staff that helped us! This bread could change the direction of your day.

Great customer service but I wasn't very impressed with bakery goods I bought here couple times in the past. Today I got this hot Alaska sandwich for the first time and it was a big disappointment. This $14 egg sandwich isn't a big difference from McDonald.. egg didn't taste like real, it was very dry. Bread didn't taste like fresh baked from bakery as well, more like cheap bread from grocery store. Not recommended..

    Findlay breakfast sandwich

Stopped by to get some breakfast sandwiches here. I got the Findlay and it was delicious. The sandwich was creamy, crunchy, spicy, sweet, sour, smokey and savory. It had a good combination of flavors and textures. We also ordered some focaccia bread to eat later and the pretzel knots were also delicious. Would definitely come back to try their other sandwiches when I am in town.

Pick up window. As of June 2022 bakery is open Thurs, Fri, and Sat 10AM-3PM.

I visited for the first time June 2022 and currently they are open Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 10am-3pm for pick up (you can place your order in advance online) or walk up at the window. At 10am there was already a small line. All of the breads and pastries look amazing and fresh. I got the fruit (I think peach) danish (2 for 9.50), loaf of filone bread (6.25), and Herkimer drip coffee. Some of the best I've had! They do not offer espresso which I wish they did :). Note many of the pastries you cannot just buy one, it came in a box of 2. Similarly when ordering online some of the items you have to buy 4 or more at a time. Prices do seem a little on the higher end but worth it for a treat every once in a while! Friendly and speedy customer service. Found free street marking nearby.

I enjoyed all the unique flavor combinations they had to offer for the focaccia and other baked goods as well. While they were busy the service was nice and when they heard it was my first time there they gave me a free pretzel bite! What a nice gesture. I'll definitely be back.

    Everything croissant
    Diksha N.

This place is an accidental find and I am glad I found out!. We ordered the everything croissant, spicy tomato focaccia and the savoury cheese bread pudding. The everything croissant was just pull apart with a subtle parmesan note(yummy). The focaccia blew my mind, did not have anything apart from a herby olive oil focaccia in my life but this packed a punch and it was refreshing!. The bread pudding cups were a good medly flavor and crunchy too. The service was courteous and super quick, small line on a Saturday morning . Will definitely check this place out again for desserts too.

I didn't get photos unfortunately but will be back and can update then. We ordered a marble loaf, croissants, chocolate hazelnut croissant (casse-noisette), brownie, kouign-amann and the fraisier. Oh. My. Heaven. This is the first bakery in a long time we have been craving days later. Everything. I mean EVERYTHING was delicious with the exception of the marble loaf. The loaf was extremely firm and had no flavor. My son who loves everything sweet only had two bites. The rest made up for it. My husband LOVES croissants and this is by far the best he has had in all of Washington. The casse-noisette was ridiculous. Often when you have stuffed croissants they either have barely any or way too much "stuffing". This was perfect. The perfect blend of chocolate and hazelnut. The crunch of the hazelnuts on top were a welcome contrast. Cannot wait to return. What a gem!

The prices were pretty reasonable-- mini breads were less than $5 a piece and packed with flavor. Don't miss the mini baguette with bacon. The kouign amann is much smaller than others I've tried, but supremely flaky. Smaller portions just give you more reasons to buy more. The malasadas are soft and have a good custard filling. Their shokupan (white bread loaf) is probably better than ones I've had in Japan, and isn't made with preservatives, which is super rare nowadays. You can choose from thick or thin cut slices. Like many Japanese bakeries even in Japan, the fried curry bread and katsu (breaded and fried pork or chicken) sandwiches are already made, so don't expect anything cooked to order or served hot. Keeping that in mind, this place ticks off all the boxes and is worth the quick hop on the light rail.
