Upstairs patio

This café is so cute, finding parking was not hard. I just parked in the neighborhood. When you walk in, there's a case of baked goods and the wall to the right had a basic drink menu. The staff are cheery and were very kind when ordering. There's some seating on the main floor and more upstairs where there's an inside seating option and outdoor patio, which is perfect for the summer. I could tell the pastry I got was made fresh and is a nice spot if you want to be outdoors and enjoy your treats.

Great selection of baked goods both savory and sweet. Decent number of vegan options but not as many as I wanted The coffee here tasted absolutely amazing. One of those places where I'd like to go back again just for the coffee. We ordered a vegan Banana muffin and it was okay. Most of the items were sold out by the time we went there around 3pm. So I'd recommend going in early to checkout there full selection !

Popped in to grab brunch- got the peppers panini, kouign-amann, toffee cookie and the pistachio chocolate cake. The sandwich was made fresh, great crunch but lacking a smidge of salt, the hot sauce helped. The kougin was okay, the top tasted a bit burnt but it had a nice interior, the cookie was yummy, good chew and salty. The pistachio cake was dense and not bad but not for me. Would do 3.5 stars if I could.

Chocolate croissant

Chocolate croissant was very good- flaky, salty, and buttery, filled with a delicious dark chocolate. It was a more dense/bready croissant but still very delicious, I'd put it in my top 5 croissants of Seattle. Coffee here is nothing special, can get much better elsewhere. Service was very lackluster though, the person working the front seemed annoyed we were there.

I absolutely love their Vegan coconut cake. Rarely crowded, clean, plenty of space to sit. Staff are efficient with orders. It's a bus your own table place but clean. I believe they have a spacious rooftop or patio space. I've only sat there a couple of times, most times I just come for the cake slice to go.

Probably one of my favorite bakeries in Seattle If you ever had the Trader Joe's Mushroom Turnovers before they were discontinued, this bakery brings those memories right back and honestly, theirs is even better. The mushroom pastry is always a must for me. The lines can get long, but they move fast. There's also cute seating upstairs and the whole bakery is adorably decorated. A perfect spot to grab something delicious and catch up with friends.

This is one of my favorite seattle experiences so far! When you walk in, it just looks like a small little bakery, but if you walk upstairs you will find beautifully decorated outdoor and indoor seating. (Also, a plus, there is an amazing view of mt rainier from the outdoor seating.) There is plenty of room, so makes a good remote work option. We got the Mango matcha, Iced Cardamom Rose latte, cheddar scone, and ginger scone. The matcha and cheddar scones were delicious. The mango matcha is one of the best I've ever had, so i will definitely be returning. The latte isn't super sweet and the ginger scone was a little too plain for me. They were very quick with making our drinks and super nice when answering all our questions. My one complaint is it isn't open longer. Would love to come by after work sometime for a quick treat, but they close at 5 - so gotta be quick!

From top to bottom: chocolate sea salt croissant, lemon ginger scone, twice-baked almond croissant

This place has such a comfortable rooftop patio, and I was all for it! I came here with friends who recommended this place at around 2pm on a sunny Sunday afternoon to a cool interior that's essentially the kitchen. They have a ton of pastries on display at the front, but the biggest recommendation I got from friends was the twice-baked almond croissant, and that was one of three pastries I got and will describe in a bit. I cannot get over how cool the outdoor rooftop patio is here; you can either choose to see the surrounding neighborhood or a view of Mt. Rainier and nearby Cleveland High School. It's so cozy outside, there are tables that can seat large groups, and those larger tables have a big umbrella to shade you from the sun. For the pastries, the almond croissant was my absolute favorite! This is ironic given I don't enjoy almonds to begin with, but the croissant had such a crispy texture, and there was some sort of sweet filling keeping the almonds on top of the croissant that made it so much better to have. My second pastry was the sea salt chocolate croissant, which wasn't anything special given I felt like the chocolate inside strongly reminded me of M&Ms chocolate. The croissant itself was just like the almond one, tasty and fresh. I also got the lemon ginger scone, which had a very strong taste of lemon; my taste buds had to really focus to get the taste of ginger. Otherwise, I thought this more as lemon bread but in scone from. Despite some of the pastries not being to my liking, I actually loved having them relaxing in the outside rooftop, and it's just very calm all around. Like my friends, I'd recommend here for some nice pastries and great decor, especially during good weather!

Really lovely and friendly staff! They have multiple vegan options to choose from too. Everything was delicious. The inside downstairs was pretty chilly with the door open but overall a nice spot to eat. The inside and outside upstairs were both also cool spots to sit and eat or read. Would definitely return!

I go here every once in awhile with curiosity. They have a rotating drink special menu based on the season as well as a variety of different baked goods. They do have your mainstay items that make it year round What I like about this place is the ability to get your items reheated. They are consistently putting out quality items with cravable flavor combinations. I suggest getting here before 1 in the afternoon because sometimest they run out. Lastly they have excellent seating and a cute aesthetic. It's not an everyday affair due to the higher costs in comparison to some of the other cafes and bakeries I frequent. It's a given due to rising costs of ingredients so make it a time when you feel like treating yourself.

Matcha Latte And The Vegan Apple Streusel

Got some good things from this coffee shop and bakery in Beacon Hill. If you have been to the restaurant they own in the airport, you know this has plant based options. The Flora Bakehouse certainly doesn't have as many, but they do have these. A welcoming environment for everyone. The prices are pretty okay, and the stuff is all fresh. Came in the morning and it was busy. It's big enough for quite a few, but it still gets pretty crowded inside. The last time there wasn't much of a wait. Go in and place an order at the counter. It's about $6 for the Matcha Latte. This was rich and had an herby and sweet taste. Has a few ready to go pastries. It's about $4 for the Vegan Apple Streussel. Good size and it was sticky and sweet just like a regular one is. They also bake fresh bread loaves. Has lattes along with a few pastries and sweets that are baked fresh. It's located on Lucile Street in a quieter area of Beacon Hill. The whole menu is okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Chocolate chip cookie, unicorn soft serve, mushroom pastry

I love this place and it's one of my favorite cafe/ bakery in Seattle but mainly for the rooftop and decor and vibes, I also enjoy the food and drinks but I think this time I just chose treats that weren't as good. I didn't like the bakehouse breakfast sandwhich and it didn't taste like much besides the aioli they put it on it and the bread, the egg was kind of flavorless and not very good. The bread was also very strong and I just didn't feel like it was very well balanced. The Italian soda was alright, I just didn't feel like coffee today. My friends liked their mango matcha and lavender latte though. The chocolate croissant was very good and the rooftop is always spectacular. Service always very nice and friendly here.

Egg and cheese sandwich

I was visiting some friends, and Flora Bakehouse was down the street. I ended up going for breakfast two days in a row! When I went on Friday morning, there was no line and plenty of seats inside, but on Saturday morning, around 9:00 a.m., there was a line out the door. The downstairs tables were full, but there was a nice garden upstairs that also had seats. I had the Seasonal Frittata--summer squash, onion, pepper jack, basil, and lemon ricotta--with a dry cappuccino. The frittata was light and fluffy, and the cappuccino had just the right amount of milk. The next day, I had the egg and cheese Sandwich, which came on focaccia with a housemade pumpkin spice latte. The sandwich was toasted, which added a nice crunch to the bread, and the latte was delicious. It was one of the best pumpkin spice lattes I have ever had. On my way out, I ordered the scone, and it came with strawberry - rhubarb jam. The scone was delicate and flaky, and the jam wasn't too sweet. I would recommend Flora Bakehouse to anyone!

I stopped by over the weekend and tried the almond croissant and an iced vanilla latte. I was honestly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering it's in such a tourist-heavy area. For comparison, the coffee shop upstairs (storyville) had lattes for around $8.50, while here we got two coffees AND two pastries for about $24 total. For the quality, I thought that was a really good value. I order vanilla lattes everywhere I go, and this one was fantastic. The space itself is also pretty large -- we were able to find seating easily even on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Seattle. Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Kind of sketchy. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

The staff here was also patient and welcoming. We'll definitely have to come back and try more of their pastries!!

Finally made it out to Saint Bread and I loved it! Arrived around 9am on a Friday morning and…read morewaited ~30 min in line. All the pastries except for the regular butter croissant were available, and we were able to place an order for the kimchi focaccia and sakura swiss roll, which were slated to come out around 10am. Service was super friendly! I got the hojicha latte, the okonomiyaki frittata, black sesame cookie, kimchi focaccia, and sakura swiss roll. The hojicha latte was rich and earthy in the best way, and it went really well with the black sesame cookie, which had a great strong sesame flavor, and the texture was perfectly chewy! The focaccia was pillowy and chewy at the same - I could've eaten five of these on their own. The frittata was my least favorite item, but by no means am I saying that it's bad! I thought the sauces overpowered it a bit, and the frittata itself was a bit bland - I couldn't even tell it had sweet potato in it, but it was cooked really well. There was ample seating in the heated patio, but parking was a little confusing, though we got lucky with the small lot right next to the store. There were a lot of signs that said no parking along the street in front, but it seemed like a lot of cars were parked there?

The pastries and bread are the real stars. Everything feels intentional and well executed with a balance of simple and elevated. It is the kind of place where you end up ordering more than you planned because everything looks so good. It can get busy especially on weekends but it is still worth it. Between the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere it is an easy go to for a casual but elevated coffee and pastry stop.
