Various pies & cheesecakes frozen & refrigerated
    Carol C.

The pies here are delicious! At first I was thrown off by the refrigeration of all the pies versus being displayed in a pastry case. I was also confused as to why they didn't accept pre-orders and to just come in and pick the pies you want. As I learned, they have a great system for storing their pies and serving them fresh. They do have a stockpile of pies (mini tarts, medium & whole) and cheesecakes, which are either frozen or refrigerated. I chose 5 different pies: Sweet Potato, Pecan, Key Lime Chess, Peach & Apple for an office gathering - $35 each. The pies are extremely fresh and crusts tender. My favorites were the Key Lime Chess pie and Sweet Potato. Officemates enjoyed the Peach, as that was the first to get polished off. I found the bottom of the crust a little underdone for my liking. Mr. Hart's daughter helped me with my order, choosing the pies and the kind transfer to my car. It's a cute shop that serves amazing pies! Can't wait to come back to try the cheesecakes!

We went here for the plate of nations. We didn't end up getting their special, which was sandwiches. My friend got some pies to take away and mini cheesecakes to take away. It's the perfect spot if you want to bring a special dessert to a house party or wow your own guest. They also have sandwiches and regular food. The server was really nice and she was also the baker. We had a great chat.

Peach cobbler cheesecake (i took a bite already SORRY)

i stopped by here for the first time after work and i am so glad i did! i think the owner's daughter was the one working at the counter but i asked for some recommendations and she was super helpful and sweet :) i ended up getting the peach cobbler cheesecake for $12.50 after tax, which is a bit pricey but now that i am eating it, i would say it's very worth it. also, i can't believe i've lived nearby my whole life and today was my first time coming ?!!! i will be returning to this neighborhood gem :-)

I loved they had almost every flavor in tart size which made it easier to try more flavors and not feel too guilty!

Sweet Bean Supreme (sweet) and Tropical (tangy, less sweet)
    Cora L.

Rich, buttery crusts with delicious flavors. My fave so far is the Tropical pie because it has a tangy element and tastes less sweet. But the Sweet Bean is really good too! The "Medium" size is perfect for two to share. I LOVE desserts, but I can't eat a whole medium in one sitting.

Tarts! Sweet potato pie, pecan pie, sweet bean supreme, coconut chess, key lime chess.

I enjoy taste testing different flavors so I created a sampler of 5 different tarts. The pie crust is light and flakey. A well made crust is essential to great pies, and this really hit the mark. Sweet Potato pie - Absolutely delicious! This is by far my favorite. It has full-mouth flavor and is great for savoring! Pecan pie - Surprisingly delicious! Many pecan pies are usually too sweet, tacky and sticky for me. This was not too sweet and it didn't get stuck to my teeth. The pecans are well seasoned and the base is gelatinous. The crust was cooked a little more than the other pies. Sweet Bean Supreme pie - Mild flavor though seasoned well. This is definitely the best pick if you don't have a big sweet tooth. This one had a little thicker crust and I wished it had more filling, but maybe it was an anomaly. Coconut Chess pie - Very sweet and drier than the others. There are sugary coconut flakes on top and a sugary thick base beneath it. My partner tasted a hint of lemon. I have more of a preference for light and fluffy coconut creme, so this style just wasn't my cup of tea. Key Lime Chess pie - Dense and gelatinous, more sweet than tart, ocre colored. This was good, but I prefer a lighter style of key lime personally. I walked in to order takeout. The business is very cozy. There was a customer behind us so we didn't stay long, but I was pleased with the thoughtful presentation of the place, including the interior design, the display case, and the menu. The menu includes different sizes and flavors of pies, cakes, and drinks. Mr. Hart is cordial and a good communicator. The tarts are pricey ($3) for the portion, but I understand businesses are taking a hit during COVID and I've seen prices generally keep rising in the food industry. In comparison elsewhere you'd pay $2.50 for smaller sized macaron or even a chocolate chip cookie. The small size allows you to taste test and find out what you like. I will go back to try the other flavors and buy the better value medium-sized pies of my favorite flavors. I've read negative reviews about the pies being frozen. Unprompted, Mr. Hart recommended warming up the pie in the microwave for 10 seconds. They are easy to pop out of their foil cups without breaking. My microwave heating ranged from 10-20 seconds depending on the pie and they were definitely better warmed up.

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

I will note that I haven't tried the breads, but as a non-morning individual, I do appreciate that they do tend to still have many items available even later in the afternoon (~1-3PM time frame). You will have to find street parking, but I've never had too much trouble in this neighborhood even on the weekend. Butter Croissant (3.75/5): I'll admit I'm insanely picky with my croissants and I think Sea Wolf's is just okay. I want a stronger crisp on the outside, something that almost shatters and makes a mess when you bite in, but the inside has a nice chew. Kouign Amann (3.75/5): I had a really fantastic time with this my first time picking it up, they have almost a crunchy sugar caramel crust on the outside with super buttery pastry inside. Unfortunately, my second time picking this up ended up being a miss, just stale and much to dry. Cinnamon Roll (1/5): The raisins are a nice touch, but this was awfully dry. Even the caramelized crus on the outside couldn't save this and charging extra for cream cheese frosting on top of a dry dough is criminal.
