This is probably my favorite place to shop at the outlets! There are so many cute and high quality items to choose from at great prices. In the winter, they have awesome sales on their fleeces and coats, and some of their sale section has an additional % off on top of the already discounted price. They also sell shoes and boots here and they often are marked down, too. Was recently able to find a high quality rain coat for about 75% off. I appreciate that they offer teacher discounts and healthcare worker discounts! read more

I haven't shopped this much in a long time! I went in for some fast drying pants that's easy to hand wash and I came out with 2 pants, 3 sweaters, a cap for my hydro flask, and a multi-tool. I kind of wish I bought other stuff so I'm planning to find another Columbia outlet store closer to me. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was trying to be very quick in this store but I saw so many things I wanted! I'm so glad we noticed Columbia when driving up to Cabazon. Great deals and great quality for outdoorsy clothing. I stopped in not really expecting to buy anything but walked out with 5 new shirts. They had a some long sleeve quick drying shirts on sale and if you 5 or more, it was an extra 15% off. Also being a member got me an additional discount which was nice. Service was good, check out efficient. Only complaint and it is minor is that an employee has to let you into the dressing room if you want to try something. I can understand why but I am of those try on, if it fits, go buy it, and move on. For an outlet store, they had a pretty selection of summer and fall items available. read more

This is usually the first store I check into when I am around this outlet. I can always find very good stuff here at a great discount year around. I know it gets freaking crazy during the special holidays, so I'd TRY not to go there during those days. Regardless of how crazy the store gets, most of the staff are super nice, friendly, helpful, cool, and most importantly; PATIENT! (excluding a lady whose name starts with B and ends with A) This is a pretty big store and has sections for men, women, and kids. You can also find Columbia shoes there. TiP: Register for free membership and get 10% discount in addition to any other discounts. You can do it inside the store using their computers or just register online. read more

Excellent visit and what a great store! Clean and organized, the staff was incredibly nice. My daughter and I went to check out jackets and were helped by Michael. He kindly explained the purpose of international fit when he saw me struggling with my jacket sleeves. He also was very helpful finding sizes for my daughter who is in between girl/women sizes helping me save money by finding a jacket that fits best and allows her to grow. We had a wonderful experience at this location. All the staff helped in finding what I was looking for and in a timely manner. The associate who was ringing us up ( Edna ) was particularly nice to us in being patience with the amount we needed to ring up. There was a promotion going on and in order to save the most money, we needed to split our order into $100 instead of one big transaction. The process took an additional 20 min to complete but Edna continued helping us with a smile on her face. She could have traded places with a co-worker, ( I overheard that she was just about to take her break) but she kept working with us and was very nice. Customer service alone, she made my day. Every trip to Palm Springs includes at least 2 stops and check-ins at Columbia Sportswear! They have clothes and gear for all members of the family, including dogs! We have found amazing deals on fleece pullovers, zip-ups, kids' shoes and clothes, hats and visors, baby jackets, menswear, and of course, boots! I have two pairs of boots that I got here: some rain/garden boots, and some wintry boots with fur tops. They're my favorite, and also a nice change from Uggs. They were only $40! I also found some shorts for $5! My dad and hubby both found heated boots for half-price! They actually have a plug and you charge them in an outlet. Then, if you're in super cold freezing weather, you just press a button and can select the level of heat you need. I believe there are three options/levels. Haha, they don't wear them too often here in San Diego, but for the mountains in the Winter they can't be beat. Their little tootsie wootsies don't freeze. Right now I'm loving a lightweight fleece pullover for women with some rouching on the back that I bought there back in March. It's feminine, light, slimming black, and oh-so-warm! In fact, we have driven out from San Diego just to go to Columbia. It is the only one in our area. read more

On our way to AZ, the husband and I made a quick stop at the Cabazon Outlets. Two minutes inside Columbia Sportswear and I am reminded why I like this place. Decent deals. Decent selection. Helpful staff. Not quite the brand caliber of REI but still solidly good finds. The husband picked up a cool pair of water resistant shoes (that we saw was 2x the outlet price overseas) , and I discovered that UPF clothing really works to block out the sun. read more

I just had one of the best shopping experiences at this outlet. The staff was awesome and really informative. I had no idea the had American and International versions of clothing; hence why the jacket I tried on didn't fit as well. Michael, one of the managers not only was friendly, he went out of his way to find the sizes I needed and explained the different styles of clothing. OMG we've just been driving past this place for years on our way back from Joshua Tree NP, and sooo missing out. Finally made it here in mid Nov 2010, and was amazed at some of the discounts. Like all stores, some prices weren't that discounted, but others were jaw dropping. $15 for a rain jacket was I think my best bargain, but we picked up some other fantastic deals too. You can become a member (to get an extra % off) at the cash register too. I happily gave them my e-mail (THAT's how good the bargains were) and even more surprising, I've gotten just the right amount of e-mails from them--now if only I lived closer to an outlet, I could've taken advantage of all the extra discounts they offered!!! PS parking in front can be crowded, though we lucked out, but it looked like there was a lot more space in back. Walk through by the bathrooms (good rest stop BTW) just a store or two over. read more

Yesterday, being Black Friday, I shopped at Columbia Sportwear for some desperately needed WARM outdoor clothing. While there I encountered 3 different sales clerks who were all exceedingly helpful. Unfortunately, I only got the name of one of the clerks, Yvonne. While helping me with a decision about a coat, I managed to drop my Starbucks' drink which busted open on the floor and splashed all over, including Yvonne's boots. Yvonne was ever so gracious - she promptly grabbed paper towels to soak up the mess, then mopped the floor so it was really clean. I offered to help multiple times, but she assured me that she'd take care of it. When I exclaimed about the mess on her boots, Yvonne assured me they were waterproof and wouldn't be damaged. Overall, the sales clerks at Columbia Sportswear earned 5 stars because of their product knowledge and willingness to help - especially on such a busy day. Yvonne earned more than 5 stars because of her gracious attitude and prompt attention to cleaning up the mess I had made. read more
