I got married November 29,2015 at the Venetian in NJ. Not only did Connie give me the best price but the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Plus she got me peonies in November! She set up the flowers in my ceremony room and provided us the stands which were very nice. She also put flowers on my cake- made such a difference.The bridal party all adored their flowers and the center pieces were perfect with crystal beading hanging from the bottom. She accommodated me every time I wanted to come in and change something or simply come in with additional inspiration photos. I changed my mind quite a few times and she was very patient and helpful. I received an arrangement from here for Valentines Day and the 2 doz red rose count was short by a lot of roses. Its not the first time I receive a disappointing arrangement from here. Im not sure why my man continues to waste his money here. I received another arrangement from here that was supposed to be for a special occasion and it had more green leaves than actual flowers and the vase didn't go with the arrangement. I received other arrangements that were more greens than actual flowers. I hope he never gets me flowers from here again. read more

I've known Connie and Cathy's family for years. I moved out of the neighborhood after 20 yrs a year ago and my wife recently lost a brother this week. We didn't think of going any to any other florist but Columbia. I will always come to them. They are family and have always provided the best arrangements for funerals, valentines days or just bringing flowers to loved ones - sick or well. I used them for my wedding last year. While they gave us a good price and the arrangements were pretty, they forgot one of my bridesmaid's bouquets. On the way to the chapel my bridesmaids had to pull a few flowers out of each of their bouquets to make another one and you can tell in all my pictures that one is smaller and not wrapped in the same fabric. Also, after the shop confirmed (and wrote on our receipt) that their staff would bring two center pieces to the chapel for the mass and then bring them over to our reception, the guys (twenty minutes before my wedding, when they finally showed up) refused to bring the centerpieces over to the reception as the shop promised. So our bridal party had to squeeze them in the limo. They were very late and rude. It was so embarrassing to have them bringing in the flowers as my guests sat there and watched. I would pay more money to avoid the stress on such an important day. I was not happy with their customer service the day of at all. read more

I went into the store to purchase a bouquet of flowers. The owner was on the phone he left me standing there for fifteen minutes. When I said excuse me sir, he snapped at me and said I am taking an order for a funeral. I said all I need in a bouquet, he said you know how much I make on one bouquet. I love surprising my wife with flowers every week or so. So when I found out that there was a "good" florist in the neighborhood (I'm new around) I was super excited, because I wouldn't have to ravel too far from home to surprise her. First, I walked into the store and greeted one of the two ladies that was behind counter and wasn't even acknowledge back. I thought it was rude but I made no big deal out of it because I wanted to buy some flowers, I proceeded to look a the flowers they had and other house plants until I decided on what I wanted. I asked the lady behind the counter how much the flowers were, to which she started to have a conversation with the lady right behind her. So at this point I'm starting to feel like Casper the friendly ghost, and right before I decided to walk out and never come to this place again a very friendly employee came to help (I'm assuming the two ladies were the owners). This was the only pleasant experience about being there, so I bought the flowers I liked which had small defects but I was well aware of them as I knew my wife wouldn't mind. The reason I'm typing this is not because of the bad costumer service, but because the mini roses died 3 days after the 25 dollar purchase, so I might as well tell y'all about my terrible experience there too. Before anyone goes on assuming I did something wrong in order for them to die, you are wrong. I used the little flower food packet that came with it and kept them well, I had bought a few roses a week and some change ago and I still have one in perfect condition. I would not have cared or anything for the bad customer service, I'm from NY, people are rude here all the time. I do mind that the flowers died so soon after the purchase, I feel like I was rudely ripped off. no pun intended. The only reason I am giving this a one star is because of the one employee that came and was very helpful, but even then he sold me the flowers that would soon die. Moral of the story is that you're better off buying flowers from the people selling on the streets. read more

Like another reviewer (Amanda D.) I feel like this business has made a difference in my family life over the years. I've been going in with my son since he was an infant to pick up bouquets, mainly for birthday or holiday tables. It is almost always very busy with deliveries and orders for 'big' clients such as funeral homes or churches. Still, they take time to give efficient but friendly service to walk-in retail customers. Prices are just as affordable if not cheaper than at a deli, but arranged beautifully and so much fresher that they last for 10-14 days. If I ever buy flowers elsewhere, I wind up kicking myself because they pale in comparison. It's a mad-house on holidays, but they work so hard to keep up. And, on Halloween, I remember going in for candy with my son, and they remembered him and said "they're regulars" and gave us a treat from a special stash. I was amazed on the afternoon of Christmas eve to hear that they would be open until 9 pm. These people are so dedicated to providing the very best flowers, such a blessing. read more

Parking is only negative at times but they will go out of the way and keep an eye on your car while you are inside the store if you have trouble finding parking spot. That says it all. read more

I spoke to a very charming and lovely lady by the name of Peggy who assured me that the flowers will be delivered that very same day I placed my order early that morning 9:30 or so and sure enough as Peggy promised before noon a beautiful Bouquet of flowers were delivered to my girlfriends place of business. I must say that she loved and was totally delighted with them.
