The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the feature to make an appointment on their website is great! There were 5 of us renting ski equipment, and the process was a breeze! As we were filling out their paperwork, they requested our sizes to retrieve ski boots. We all found sizes that were comfortable, but the owner wanted to make sure we were happy - since it being a busy time of year, a lot of their equipment was already rented out. Really great experience here during COVID. They had a reservation system to limit guests in the store so we were the only guests at the time. We got great, personalized service with some helpful tips for the gear we were getting. The prices are definitely better than the places at the actual ski resorts. My family of four with two kids ten and under were in and out within 20 minutes (normally it is double that amount of time at least) with all gear sized perfectly and everybody happy. Located so very convenient on the way to Keystone this place really rocks. A) Customer service-awesome. In person and over the phone. One of my party probably called them a dozen times...they were just cool. B) Inventory-pretty good. Didn't have exactly what I needed board-wise but everyone else was good to go. Boot-wise they had more than enough so I had numerous options. C) Price-Pretty damn good. I pay the same amount in California...in fact a little more...for a rental. Also, some of the gear was cheaper that I found at Sports Basement. That is hard to do. D) Convenience-awesome. However, as far as I could surmise they only had discount lift tickets for Copper Mountain. Wish they had others. Hours were pretty good too. The main person who ran the place was very helpful at the beginning, got me all the equipment I needed to ski for 4 days pricing is very reasonable. I ACCIDENTALLY dropped one of my ski poles on the open lift on my last day. I went to River Run lost and found to see if they have retrieved a pole that morning and unfortunately they did not. The lost and found said that if I were to explain to Columbine rental what happened and that if the lost and found were to find the lost ski pole they would return it to the rental store. They ensured that the rental store would understand and if not they would make me pay a fee (which is okay because it was my responsibility for the rental) But as I'm explaining the situation and relaying the information that the River Run lost and found told me the owner of the rental store was very rude and short, I understand that you're frustrated that your equipment is missing but don't throw an attitude with me. I was willing to pay if he had brought up the choice but the owner was unpleasant about it. He told me to just drop my rental off and "just go that's all I need from you, I don't know how they're gonna call me"...I don't know who you're mad at...me or the lost and found for relaying information that may or may not be true. But it's probably not a good idea for you to be very rude to customers that chose you out of many rental stores. read more

They were quick to get them fitted, but the owner seemed pissed the whole time. Even before I mentioned the Yelp coupon. Everyone has bad days, but if you are offering a service where you are dependant on customers for being successful.....suck it up and put on a happy face. Owner Greg and son Kevin did a great job of fitting us with skis, boots and helmets. I haven't been on skis in 10 years or so, so Greg advised me on which skis to get for my not-quite intermediate skill level. He also reminded me how to put on and take off the boots, bindings, etc. and advised me on boot fit--all without being in the least bit condescending about my sketchy knowledge. Renting skis here was quite a bit less expensive than at the slope, and much less crowded. Since Dillon is on the way to most of the resorts--Keystone, Arapaho, Breckenridge and Vail--it's an easy stop, saving both time and money. It's a pleasure to support great folks running a family owned business instead of padding the pockets of bigger operations. Your stop here will be worth it. read more
