Walked in to BLARING Xmas music. I have nothing against Holiday music, but this was LOUD. I mentioned it to the clerk, and she said - " I love it that way." I asked, but what about your customers? and she gave me an angry disgusting shrug. Walked back to the boot-fitting dept., where an absolutely stoned-out-of-his-mind "dude" was chowing down on some burgers. This was the "boot-fitter." Encountered unfortunate customer experience when asking an associate about backcountry skiing bindings compatible with boots without pinholes. He said it is not possible, but based on my two years of experience doing it, I informed him that it indeed was. He then asked me why I needed new ones, and I said because they broke. And then he told me he wasn't surprised they broke. I did not care to explain to him that it was damaged because of user error. Negative experience with customer service at this store. Rented a bike to go hit some trails in Dillon. The store was big and clean and open. It was very easy to find. And the manager and staff were super friendly. Prices were definitely fair. The staff was very helpful with recommendations on picking places to go and check out. The prices on the bikes are dependent upon which type of bike you rent. Awful awful ski shop. They do not know how to measure a foot correctly for ski boots. They do not know how to mount bindings on skis correctly either. I would steer far far away from this place. This store has cost me thousands of dollars. read more

i walked in today (5/24 @2:08) after being at REI looking for some outdoor shoes. Im gonna say all employees hanging out by the cashier talking to a friend or about their life.. not even a hi when i walked in or may i help you find something. Very poor costumer service and u unfortunately i have to compare it to REI where i was greeted right away and ask for assistance multiple times. Those kids need some customer service training.. regardless if is only costumer walk in or Multiple. REI had the shoes ur store has but i decided to go back and spend a few extra dolars over there rather than here. read more

Amazing service! We bought our skis at the Ski Expo in Denver, and Sun and Ski offered free binding installation. We dropped off our skis Thanksgiving morning and they were ready within 24 hours! I stopped into the sun and ski store this afternoon because the boots I bought for my daughter in Houston were hurting her feet tremendously. When I got to the store several different people asked me how they could help me eventually Ryan helped us get brand new boots that fit her perfectly. I was surprised they were able to exchange the boots and in the process save me $200. Ryan felt so bad that my daughter had missed a day of skiing because the boots she had purchased in houston, that he comped tune ups on our skis. I love great service like this. Stopped in here on a weeknight during pretty high peak season and they agreed to have our board waxed and tuned in under 3 hours. This was awesome as we called Christys and another location beforehand and they said they didn't have the time. Sun and Ski got our business for being accommodating and having friendly staff. I highly recommend this shop. The team was friendly, technically knowledgeable with great customer service. I initially visited the shop to have my son in laws ski bindings adjusted. The service team researched, conferred and advised me that the bindings were not safe and needed to be replaced. My son in law requested that I take the skis elsewhere. I visited another shops in the area and they tried to repair them unsuccessfully and still charged me. Needing new boots I returned to Sun and Ski, since I was so impressed with my initial experience, and Dave fitted me with boots. I cannot say enough about the experience. Sun & Ski is a top notch ski shop. We've been vacationing in Summit county for years. This is the first year we rented equipment for most of my family. They had a wide selection of top-notch equipment compare to two other shops we visited. My wife opted for a standard ski set while my son went with a demo pair. He was told that if he wanted to exchange them anytime during the week, just bring them in to switch out. Ryan gave us great service. Overall A great experience. read more

Had an issue with my ski boots (purchased through another vendor). The original vendor said they couldn't work the issue. Called the boot manufacturer (Apex Boots) and they recommended talking to the guys at Sun and Ski. As soon as I walked in the team was welcoming and didn't bat an eyelash at making it right...right then! Dave swapped out the broken heel tensioner with a brand new one off a boot he had in stock. Worst experience I've had at a Sun & Ski. When living in Dallas, I was a regular at the store. I purchased my $3,000 road bike, ski boots, and numerous other products from the store with great experiences. I was friends with multiple store managers, employees (multiple locations), and cycled with them on a weekly basis. However, goIng in to purchase a $16 clava on my latest ski trip proved very disappointing. Not only were the employees not helpful or welcoming, they were rude. In hindsight I should've put the product down and drove across the street to REI. I would not recommend Sun & Ski Dillon, CO. They clearly don't care to be in business, and with numerous local options you're better off shopping elsewhere. read more
