"Gentleman" on the phone got an attitude and said no - unfortunately you have to be in before 10 - gave 0 care i was waiting for my nephew to get off the mountain after being overwhelmed and taking forever to get down. Plenty of other rental places in the area - you should avoid this one in my opinion. Edit - When going to drop off the boots just before 10:30, a wonderful person named Mari was still willing to process the refund and was super empathetic! More Mari's in the world needed!

The pricing was great, so I definitely recommend renting here instead of at one of the mountain villages if you're in the Silverthorne area. But really, it was the friendly knowledgeable service that wowed me. As a Floridian who has been skiing for 3 years, I am pretty good on the slopes, but not very knowledgeable in gear. I had brought skis in that I was going to borrow from a friend, but they were clearly too big for me. Blue Valley guided me to the correct size skis where I'll have a much more fun (and safer) time!

The service is amazing and there is a great selection of rentals and gear. Oh, dint forget to pet the friendly shop dog. It is just above the outlet shops in Silverthorne. The shop isn't big, but there are plenty of coats, gloves and accessories to pick from. This year the kids package is just under $200 for sport skis. You will be pleasantly surprised by no waiting or hoards of resort crowds while getting your gear.

Another sales dept employee who was helping her put back downhill ski boots after about 5 minutes said he would get someone to assist. After waiting another 20 minutes we left and the saleswoman never even looked up or responded. I was a retail shoe salesman and you actually can go back and forth with two customers. Either crappy training or uncaring sales people.
