This was a great experience, the pilots and everyone involved were awesome. Can't wait to do it again.

Man, we were fresh into Columbus on a very hot and sticky day and needed a covered outdoor patio…read morefor us - and Puppy . We saw this spot and decided to hit them up for a din-din and beer on this auspicious late afternoon. We were seated and they quickly brought out a menu - including one for our pup! How cool was that? I ordered their house lager- hubby ordered chicken Caesar salad- I got chicken tenders and waffles for me with fried okra for the table- puppy got a whole chicken breast- nice! Ok the taste - I'm not a huge okra fan. But these fried little morsels were spiced up and hit the spot- hubby loved his salad while I munched down my chicken and waffles like - you know - stat! And the service was great- definitely was awesome. If you want a little taste of the south? Check this place out?

The atmosphere was modern with a southern twist. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled a bit when I noticed my water glass said "Bless Your Heart". In Appalachian culture, this is actually an insult. We had a large group, but the service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and everything was brought out timely and correctly. My food was really good! It was brunch time so I had coffee, the "Mimosa of the Moment" which was an apple cinnamon, a biscuit with blueberry preserves, and the Southern Shakshouka. All were fantastic and I would definitely get again. I also thought the price was affordable for the quantity.

Wings with Cheese?... Ok, I'm down for a good garlic parm wing, but WTF was this concoction. It was…read moreway better after removing all of the cheese. Way too much but the wings were edible... and that's where edibility ends! The tofu with peanut sauce sounded good to me, but I swear they took a whole block of tofu and cooked it as one piece. The exterior was bland which meant the inner depths of said tofu was even blander. How do you make peanut sauce bland? The drinks had to be good, right? After all, they're also a distillery with their own craft whiskey. Nope... Epic Fail on the blandest old fashioned in Ohio (I'm guessing). If they're trying to showcase their whiskey... maybe they shouldn't. Just really not a fan. Other Old Fashioned fans in the dining party weren't impressed either. The margarita wasn't much better either. What about a refreshing peach dessert? I'll give you 3 guesses and they all start with B! You guessed it, so flavorless and the pound cake was dry! It was even dry if you were calling it a biscuit. If you're going to serve this, then maybe a peachy sauce to cut through the dryness. Oh, the description promises that, but it did not deliver on those bourbon macerated peaches by any means. Even Bowser would send this peach back! TLDR: Bland food, Bland drinks, Dry Bland Cake, and Bland Drinks (a no-no for a distillery themed place). So many other great restaurants in Columbus, but this is a pass from me.

A spot that will be missed!…read more Decided to go just before they were closing for good. Was able to split the Caesar salad, in which the dressing was more mellow and less acidic than typical Caesar dressing, but was accompanied with a charred lemon wedge to add however much acid your heart desires! The crispy potatoes albeit fried were extremely light, and the aioli complements well the shaved cheese placed on top. Then came the burger, with the fries being extremely crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was very good as well, but I could do without the mushrooms added. It is a wet burger as well due to the mornay instead of a typical slice of cheese that just sticks to the burger. Most importantly, the cocktails are FANTASTIC as always. A seasonal menu always gets created, with the staples of course always available, typically using their own products within.

Even…read morewith a reservation, we still had a bit of a wait, so just keep that in mind if you're planning a weekend visit. Once seated, we started with the complimentary bread--one was like a sourdough baguette and the other a darker pumpernickel-style loaf. Both were fresh and really good, a nice way to kick things off. For my meal, I went with the Bistro Burger. It came topped with provolone, caramelized onions, arugula, and a garlic aïoli on a sub-style bun. I added tomatoes, and it was served with fries. The burger itself was cooked perfectly to medium rare, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise, it was solid--but for $20.95, it felt a little on the smaller side compared to what you'd expect for that price point. My wife ordered the chopped salad, and it was huge. She really enjoyed it and said it was packed with flavor--definitely a better value portion-wise. Service was fine. Our server was clearly busy but did a good job keeping our drinks full and checking in when she could. And yes, we were at Cheesecake Factory and skipped the cheesecake. At $11.95 for a slice (on the low end), it just didn't feel worth the splurge this time. Overall, they have an enormous menu with plenty of options, but prices are definitely on the higher end for what I'd consider a mid-range restaurant. The burger was good, just not something I'd come back specifically for--especially given the price and portion size. Final thought: Good experience overall, but next time I'm craving a burger, I'd probably look elsewhere.
