    Rooftop

Great food with rooftop views! I loved the lighting and the ambiance, it was a great place to relax and it wasn't too loud to hear one another speak. The smoked trout dip was my favorite, it was creamy and not too fishy. The garlic buns were also good, who doesn't love carbs? It was too cold for us to enjoy the rooftop this time but I plan to come back again for happy hour.

First visit and wow -- what an experience @goodalestation From the mood and atmosphere to the stunning rooftop views, every detail was on point. The presentation was beautiful, the food was delicious, and let's just say the espresso martinis (my signature cocktail ) were flowing. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the night even better. This rooftop is officially a must‑visit every time we're in Columbus. We tried the Maple Burrata -- crisp pancetta, green apple, smoked salt, chili oil, Aleppo peppers, kale, and maple gastrique -- and the Grass‑Fed Burger with cheddar, house pickles, fried Fresno peppers, thick‑cut bacon, and onion jam. Absolute perfection Can't wait for the next visit!

Goodale Station was outstanding! The food is delicious. We came for breakfast and left stuffed! We ordered a couple boozy drinks before heading to the Columbus Zoo and it made for an excellent day. Fantastic views. We were able to sit on the patio and it was great. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back because there are so many other meals I would like to try out!

Great roof top restaurant overlooking downtown columbus. Great service. The food was pretty good, the experience and ambiance I think makes this place so fun but still good food.

Incredible experience at the Goodale station. Beatiful settings, great service with food to match! We were seated by the window so the evening started off with the great view. Our daughter had a martin (Porn Star), which she said was very good. We only went for appetizers but it was more than enough for all of us: Charcuterie (I think this was the only miss as there was nothing special about the cheeses, just your average of the mill cheeses), strawberry fennel, Salmon Tartare, Smoked Trout Dip, Shishito Peppers and Korean Buns - everything else (except that one mentioned previously) was absolutely great. For the dessert, we went for chocolate cremeux and it was incredible. Plus, our server (Soto - hats off to you, great job for the service!!!) when he found out that we are here for special occasion (our daughters graduation) gave 4 macaroons, which our daughter absolutely loved. So fantastic experience overall!!!

First experience at Goodale Station was amazing! Ordered the Korean buns, foccacia and Spicy Rock Shrimp off the Happy Hour menu while we were waiting on the rest of our group...in addition to the trout dip off the regular menu!..We enjoyed these 3 dishes so much, we ordered them again for our group! Service, atmosphere, drinks and food were all 5 stars! Can't wait to return!

The view invites you to come on the patio because it is beautiful. My group was fortunate to come after the rain and got a table on the patio. The lighting outside changes colors, which you can see in my pics. I started with the BLt salad which was tasty. The bacon in the salad was more like ham and added the perfect amount of saltiness. I ordered the pan seared bass for my entree and it was seasoned perfectly. I loved the sear on the skin which made it crispy and added the right amount of texture. For my drink I ordered the in bloom, which is a bourbon based drink. It was strong but flavorful. Our waitress was a little slow with coming to check on us, but I think that's because we were her only table outside. I would go back just for drinks and the view.

Such a beautiful space on the rooftop overlooking the city. The food was all decent and good. Server was nice enough. While I don't feel I ever need to go back, it was still a good place to have an evening catch up with old friends while we were in town. We had multiple appetizers, main course dishes, and desserts (photos attached) and they were all three to four star good enough.

Stumbled on this place while in Columbus for the weekend. Kind of hard to find through the entry way because the elevator was down. Overall delicious food. Great views and drinks. Inside was freezing and they moved us to the patio which haf excellent views.

Random girls weekend and we ended up here. Rooftop vibes, very cute decor, AC was super cold (which is a good thing this summer, but be prepared). We sat outside and our server was very accommodating. My burger was tasty, fries were a little salty but crunchy and cooked well for shoe string style.

A little delayed in posting, but visited and enjoyed Sunday brunch at Goodale Station on Father's Day. I've been once before for dinner and just love the ambiance. Any rooftop restaurant checks multiple boxes for me but I just love all of the natural light this restaurant offers. Service was great as well. Friendly, prompt and attentive. I completely failed to snap pictures but we tried the brioche French toast and the short rib hash. French toast was excellent. Not too soft and just the right level of sweetness. The hash was a bit of a letdown unfortunately. Needed additional flavor of some sort and the fat from the short rib left the hash brown a bit soggy and oily. I did successfully snap a few drink pics :) As a cilantro super fan, the Say It Ain't Cilantro was so good. Unlike anything I've ever had before. Also tried the Morning Prep and also very unique and delicious.

This has been a place on my list to try and it did not disappoint! We brought some friends who were in town for brunch and the views are top notch. We sat on the patio but the inside is very chic too. Our server was really attentive, helpful and nice. I ordered the enthusiast which was a tasty iced coffee, perfect for a warm day and to get energized. We had some mimosas which were a great deal and the free fall. For our meals we got the short rib hash and the tacos, the short rib hash was a hit but my friend didn't love her tacos. Overall, this is a great spot and definitely worth popping up for a drink to at least see the views

    Pear hand pie

When last night for a girls night food was ok in house. The service was fantastic. I ordered a desert to take home and enjoy later... Don't get the hand pies! It's sooo disappointing because there was no filling... empty hand pies. Just crust, no spiced pear lmao.

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

That being said, upon opening the door we were told we couldn't come in without masks. Mine was in my pocket, no problem. I haven't left my home (in Tennessee) often enough since the beginning of the virus for it to become habit to automatically put on a mask when I get out of my vehicle. But 9/10 times I remember before entering a public place. The male bartender just seemed rude in the way he told us to put one one. I had read the raving reviews, and being a Yelp Elite myself I know I can and do trust their reviews above others. So....I was really looking forward to trying something new and enjoy watching a bartender do their thing. The bartender pointed to two framed menus on top of a cooler containing seltzer's and canned drinks, and some glass bottles of pre-made cocktails, I think. I would've appreciated the bartender ask me what I liked, and help me decide, but it was easier for him to point to the sign. Customer service absolutely sucked hippo balls. I asked if I could just order a Knob Creek and Coke in a short glass, and a Blanton's for my hubs. Sure!! What I got was a shot of each in a to-go plastic condiment container with a lid, and two big paper go cups (like Burger King) of ice, and a can of Coke, which I told him never mind I had a soda in the truck. We also got two bags of Cheeto's, to make the sale legal. So....we poured our bourbons over the ice in the paper cups. I drank a few sips of mine, yum, even in paper. My husband was just about to take a sip and noticed something stuck in his ice that looked just like a maggot. He walked back across the street and told/showed the bartender, who vehemently denied it came from the ice because it was a brand new bag. Then I noticed 3 of the maggot looking things in my ice, so I went back in and showed my husband and then the bartender. He told my husband it was probably from the citrus he was cutting on a board near the ice bin. They were frozen INSIDE the ice cubes. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a picture of it, it was gross. I'm upset that a bartender would try to make it seem like it was nothing. After seeing it all in my ice my husband just asked for our money back, and the bartender said, "But I've already poured another." Ummm, sorry, but no thank you. He did give the refund, but I most assuredly won't give them a second chance when I visit Columbus.
